  9. i put a 34 smic on my 33 with a high flow and it felt much much better. also ran 1 on my ceffy with big turbo before changing to fmic because people said smic was holding it back, then i got laag lol ( rb20 thou ) exactly what the above guy said, i think 34 smic only show their weakness above 220 and on a dyno for ages =)
  10. Cams, head work an more boost will see it in the 300's i love 20's theyre so much tougher than 25's =)

  13. front dumps in 1 suck IMO when changing turbos just makes it more tedious. i like dump and front to be separate !
  14. so does he go with the leaner tune an less timing or rich ? And as someone else said would be good to see some fc or other maps of aggresive tunes !

  16. years ago everyone wanted to add more fuel to their engine, know it seems we want to run them leaner. I have read many articles were japs tune by exhaust temp only an not afrs, im sure they have their reasons for doing this thou. would be good to see someone dyno same car at rich setting with lots ignition then the way we tend to do it and see ramp/power differences !
  17. when i changed from std smic to 34smic the car pulled sooo much better,only to be lost when fmic. Also i dont need to sit on the dyno all day an i dont do track work its a daily so really when is a 600x300 fmic on a daily practical Well now that everyone has had their say still be good to see the results when he changes from xr6 cooler. My next question then could i lose some of my lag by down sizing the intercooler pipes ? if so whats the smallest before this becomes a pressure drop issue ? i also read sometime back that having smaller pipes 1 side of the core and larger the other helps response ? can anyone shed some light on this
  18. dont mean its a waste of time wither like said, so bang for buck i think its worth it. 270 on a Na bottom end is nothing to complain about . i didnt realise thatr when you purchased a turbo capable of certain kw you had to get that from it or your wasting your time. And wow 500cc difference, bit like putting a rb25 turbo on a 20 results are not far off ! people just so quick to flame others on here, i gave a link to proof for sumeone asking about this turbo, yes i know the engine is 500cc difference but still a reference non the less !
  19. dude numbers aside, i was just saying my car became a lag monster, i/ me driving it was the proof, i still drive the shitbox everyday, if i hadnt cut the front bar out i would put the 34 cooler back on. Never said anything was perfect just said the the fmic sucked, maybe not for intake temps like your saying, hence why i asked other guy to post results from xr6 cooler as this is what i was going to use on my 33 as an upgrade to the 34smic. I didnt come in here to start argument or defend my self i was actually asking and just saying what i have felt/done first hand, not read or heard !
