Just checked it all with Tmr when we were looking at doing it. Since the factory braking capacity is lower, that all needs to be changed - which means scrutineering to pass rwc. You can upgrade a motor no probs. go from a 2 to a 2.5 and that's fine. Whack a turbo on and that's where things get more complicated.
I'm saying this because i spent ages on the phone to various specialists and govt depts when chants was hellbent on doing project ark. Nsw is far more lax with everything except EPA.
Needs to be engineered. Needs to pass scrutiny to show that brakes and safety equipment will stand the newfound power. Needs to be straight and 100% or won't pass rego. Will need blue plates as well. All of which cost money. None of which is cheap. Hence why project ark didn't go ahead. After all the stuffing around, would be cheaper to just get a gtt.
