Chris, Could you list which version is possible to convert or are you still playing with car from WA? What functionality it would get? Also what is your estimates in $$? I take non-navi doesn't have any cameras and dash buttons layout is different so can identify easily? Thanks.

had my v36 self imported with all books and service papers, sold to another buyer. seen few examples of V36 from dealers in syd with 5K< kms which looked a lot like 20-30K to me, all 2007. makes you think.

Yeah, v36 is very quick. By far the fastest car I driven.

Last time I checked you would have to be a "test" car if you want to import this. I've got full booklet for car and options list. (in japanese)

Hi V-Series owners, I'm selling my v36 at the moment and found that people having problem to get finance on the car via companies like BMW Finance. What finance companies are import friendly and particularly V-Series "aware"? Please share your insights

Sorry if my previous post was confusing. You are correct and won't be able to sell until the date we agreed with buyer to finalise finance. What I meant is that if you are prepared to offer 41K, I will provide more information about the car and will surely call back if there any problems with existing buyer's finance. (filtering out people who offer 35K without seeing car) Oh, well.. Now it's my turn to bargain hard on a car. Will be leaving deposit on new baby this weekend if all goes well.

Not sure about this as I've seen Base model in dealership here in Sydney prior to importing. It did not have cameras and AFS and was very basic. But as you said, at this price and condition it is a very good buy if you considering importing right now and happy with spec.

Hi Specul8tor, It is P model. The mid-range spec in other words. It is 5A auction grade. See my attachement. In regards to issues, you should probably check it out in preson. You won't be dissapointed. In short, none that I know of. (I had a Lexus valuer going over it today and suprisingly he gave it a very good trade in price).

Oh, and ETC is hidden deep under steering wheel (very neat), so you can't see buttons until you grub a torch. In your case could be different.

Ok, so my unit looks like this: ETC I have 2 buttons as well, one does repeat what lady says, another one controls volume. When you press it you can hear lady talk again. There are 4 setting on mine with one of them is "mute". Try to stop/start car until you figure out right setting. Took me about 15 attempts

Yes, I know. Especially considering that I worked out how to get this annoying ETC Toll lady to shut up when you start car. Just took it for a drive to Coles tonight and decided to take the longest possible route (I always do in this car )

Hi Guys, Decided to put ad on the forum as well. Want to add that car was imported with help of IronChef and is a 5A auction vehicle. URL: Carsales I'm up for reasonable offers but prepared to give good deal to forum member. Note that black attracts higher price in Japan if you planning to import. My main reason for selling is that with 5,5 month old baby I don't get to drive this beauty. Once this is sold, I will upgrade our "euro" to more family friendly vehicle and fun to drive too. You can get aftermarket warranty for a little extra on v36. That's what most of dealers do I believe.
