  6. hey guys, i have the queerest problem with my axis atm. i was driving back from newy today and as it got dark i threw on the lights, got out of town and flicked on the high beam and my gearbox flipped out and changed down gears, reving like all f#!k. This happened a number of times on the way home to the point where i just left it on low beam. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. Thanks in advance for any replys, cheers
  7. didn't get it off ebay, got it through envy systems (www.envysystems.com.au) , mate of mine bought one and had it fitted to his subi through them and says it's great. He had some kids break into his house and the first he knew of it was when he heard his car start, they'd made it three blocks by the time he shut it down and ll they got away with were a couple of cd's and the boost gauge they ripped off the dash. because of the system he was able to locate and start his car without keys and get it back in the driveway before the cops even arrived, can't argue too much with that i thought.
  8. yes they do, but having a few issues relating to the "total close wire", you wouldn't happen to know where it is if it has one would you chris lol
  9. hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if an nm35 stagea has a "total close wire" ie a single wire that can close all the windows and lock the doors and if so how it may be located? getting an alarm fitted and finding this wire would save some time which also saves money. Cheers
  10. doh may have jinxed myself lol. if anyone knows if the nm35 stagea has a single wire to lock all the doors and close the windows (total close wire) and how to locate it you could save me a few bucks. the guys installing the system have said it will save them a few hours if i can find this out for them. Thanks (sorry for hijacking your thead lol)
  11. my stags in getting a gps unit fitted with remote start/shut off and all that jazz. i'll let you know what it cost me tomorrow when i pick it up. my last car was pinched so security is a big issue for me, i actually dropped my car off 120km's away to get it fitted by an experienced professional. there are alot of cowboys out there and ive had so many friends have immobiliser problems down the track from poorly fitted systems. It's your wheels bro, do it once, do it right i say
  12. yeah be careful, i had a BA xr6 before my axis and I've got two sets of mags in the shed off (a set of 17's and 19's) it but only the 17's fit. the 19's hit the front calipers as the offset is different to the 17's
  13. Thats why people call us hoons, the idiots give real modified car enthusiasts a bad name
