Thanks mate you have been a great help. Just glad to not have this issue on my mind anymore

So as long as I don't let the rego run out I should be fine?
-
So I've read, but what does that mean and if it has been abolished, will it make any difference? I just want to get my facts right in case I have problems in the future with mechanics and government agencies.

Hey guys, I've done a search and done plenty of reading but I'm still a little confused about why my car does not have a compliance plate. The car is currently registered and when I went in today to do a vehicle detail change they mentioned that I don't have a compliance plate and its going to cause issues later on. It still has its blue build plate and a long skinny plate above the stamped chassis numbers. Can anyone help me out? Does it need one and is it even possible to get one without going through hell to get it?

Oh well, I'm not planning on upgrading that far. Anyone interested in a aftermarket FPR with Sard adaptors to suit RB25 fuel rail? $120 unused.
-
Its pretty much stock, the only reason I bought this one is because it worked out cheaper for me than buying a stock one. Can it still be used to replace the stock one?
-
Hey guys, just a quick question (well I hope) I am replacing my stock FPR on my rb25 with an aftermarket rising rate one. I have all the adapters to fit it to the stock location so fitting it should be fine. Now my question is, when setting it up what kind of pressure should it be set to? I am trying to keep it a close to stock pressure as possible.

Okay after 5 stitches and 2 artery ties, my tank has been washed de rusted and resealed. Now to wait 4 days for the sealer to cure. I'm very happy with the result and would recomend this product to anyone with a 32 or with old steel tanks. Send me a pm if anyone needs anymore info.

Tried ringing over 35 different spares and dimantlers around Sydney and surrounding areas. The 3 I did find had just as much internal rust a mine! 33's are plenty but 32's are as rare as hens teeth! Nissan quoted me $1200 and would have to be imported. But for $120 I purchased a fuel tank restoration kit. Its called POR-15 automotive tank repair kit, it consists of a marine cleaning agent for removing rust and other impurities, a specialty metal primer and a tank sealing compound. I'm starting the job tomorrow morn, will let you all know how it goes and how easy it is. Bluboy

Hi guys I'm in dire need of a new fuel tank but can't find one anywhere! Would there be an equivalent tank I could use from any other car or am I screwed?
-
Hey again guys. After a lot of seaching the forums I think I have narrowed down my problem to a fuel delivery issue. I had my fuel pump replaced today and as I suspected the original was f#@ked. It feels a lot better now but still has the plaining out under hard throttle. seeing as I'm going through the fuel system anyway would it b wise to replace the factory fuel pressure reg?
-
Do I smell or something?

Had the car on the analysis machine today and showed no error codes, just system normal any thoughts on what my issuse could be?

Hey guys, today I completely removed my boost controller and replaced it with a basic turbosmart T piece. I noticed it now hits boost a lot harder and earlier but it now wants cough and splutter along with the same old plaining out? WTF! I haves tried reconfiguring vac lines and putting them back again, cleaned sensors and plugs, and cleaned the fuel system to no avail. Can anyone set me in some direction to try and source this problem
-
Can anyone help me?
-
I noticed this afternoon that the boost controller inlet was running off a t-peice from the bov vac line, and not directly to the manifold. I would like reset my ecu, can anyone direct me to a thead about doing it?
-
Help anyone?
-
Tried running both sets of plugs with same issuse. It really seems to me to be a throttle problem, once my foot goes past a certain point it just sort of plains out, but if I let my foot off a little the power kicks back in. ;(

Dang namit! I think this could be my problem. The plugs I was recommended by the ngk book were BCPR6ES, standard copper. but the plugs I pulled out are BKR5EIX, iridium. Now which ones should I be using? BKR5 or BCPR6? Also what is the difference between the two? Besides being copper and iridium.

Any ideas guys? I'm really stumped on this one. Could my AFM be dirty? Is carbie cleaner ok to use on an AFM?
-
Coil packs maybe?
-
Okay, I have installed all new clamps on piping and ties on vac lines. Now its hitting boost a lot better but its still spitting, it only seems to do it when putting my foot right down, but not when i accelerate just a little, so I'm assuming that's why its still not hitting its full boost.
-
Ok, I have bypassed the EBC and noiticed it still holding boost but still maxing out at 5 sometimes 6lb. It doesn't "seem" to be plaining out or spitting now but there was a fine line between it spitting and not spitting. what could be going wrong with the ebc? Could it have dual high and low settings
-
The plugs are just standard ngk, straight from the book. But I was going to ask about the controller, I'm not sure what model it is. Do ebc's work like a dual stage? Ill take a pic of it tomorrow and see if you guys can help me out working the bloody thing!
