  1. It still has the factory clutch, but it stops after you accelerate past that, I took it to the mechanic to day and he said that because the exhausts have a heat shield around them sometimes rocks get stuck in there and can make a rattle, because when you don't press the accelerator to hard while at a standstill it makes no noise but when you give it a bit, you hear the rattle but i always hear it around 1400rpm no matter what gear I'm in. So i'm not really sure the stock exhaust is being replaced with a full 3' in 2 weeks so if it's how the mechanic said then the rattling should stop. Fingers crossed.
  2. So whats the rattle then ? Yeah I realized that. But at 60k's in 5th its sitting pretty much right on it.

Hey, The other day I took my R34 GT-T for a spin with a couple of the boys from the ACT, it was all well and fun and full off speeding around corners as you do. etc. but now when my revs are around about 1100rpm-1500rpm when the car is actually moving I hear a small rattle from somewhere up the back. I think it might be the diff, but I haven't noticed any other problems like it being any slower or any worse for wear. Has anyone else experienced this sound its kind of like a buzzing/rattle, metal on metal and has a brrrrrrr sound but whiny. That's probably the best I can describe it. I'm taking it to a mechanic tomorrow but I thought I'd check up on here to see if anyone had any idea what it might be and what its gonna cost me. Cheers, Dean.
  4. Looking to buy a new intercooler, don't know where to get them in the ACT, so I had a look online, my mate who has a Skyline to said the HDI one's were pretty good, looking for some advice in what direction to go in terms of an intercooler ?
  5. Hey mate, The only difference I really noticed were. - R34 is much quieter. - Has a little more power/torque. - Its a little heavier but you don't really feel it. - Interior and all that I like much more.
  6. I just went online and had a look, that's what was there among other things. So all that stuff about releasing pressure from the engine and recirculating, to reduce turbo lag and help the turbo spool better is just bollocks ?

Hey mate. - Castrol Edge is a little bit fake I reckon, better to go with Mobil 1, probably cost less too. - With the air filter, if you want to keep the stock box, I would recommend a HKS air filter they come in what looks like a green sponge type layout, they are good from my experience. - Timing belt as usual is every 100,000 km - I think around every 5000 km is good to change oil and plugs if you want. - From what I've heard copper plugs are the most responsive especially if you re-gap them. Hope it helps
  8. Got a 99 34 GTT Looking online for a BoV, cause the ones in the store seem a bit steep, looked at the SSQV as one of the cheap ones all the way up to the Stealh ones which are around $500. Just wondering what you fella's have on your skylines, and whether/how you hooked em up to recirculate or just release ?
