  1. Right so a few days ago I replaced my BOV, The car wouldn't run well and then just stopped completely. I have reverted back to a standard BOV AND replaced my fouled plugs. Everything is seated right but the car still wont start. It cranks over well but just wont start. It almost ran but soon gave up. Any ideas? New plugs are NGK PFR6A-11 (Laser Platinum Series) Old ones were NGK PFR5A-11 (Cheapest base plug)
  2. Need on to get my car running ASAP Contact me on 0431592131
  3. Does anyone in Brisbane have a standard RB20 BOV they want to sell me? I dont have the standard, never did. Bought the car with a turbosmart copy plumb back on there, only reason I swapped over was because it died. The end cap de threaded its self and I lost all of the internals on the highway
  4. Standard ECU, should have probably said that, didn't think it would matter that much
  5. Cant go the option of doing a ECU reset with the standard?
  6. I just recently had my old BOV replaced with HKS SSQV, even went the option of getting a plate made up as to fit it in the standard BOV mounts. The return has been blocked off and vac line of course hooked up. Now it ran fine for the first drive but on the way to a friends I started having boosting issues, as in it wouldn't boost smooth. Then it was misfiring if I was at low rpm and put my foot down a little. On the way back it wouldn't idle without wanting to die and now it just flat wont start or if it does its only for a few seconds then stalls. Smells really rich in fuel the short time it is running. Any ideas on how to fix this and what it is?
  7. Battery too the boot, And fuse box relocation are great for freeing up the engine bay. Battery job takes an hour or two, not too sure about the fuse box though. Both on my list of things too do.
  8. Safe every day use and power figures are a must. Dont want something the the shed more than on the road. Hell the current RB20DET is powering on like an RB should without a single problemin 2 years. And its had its fair share of flogging to boot. But all the engine swap ideas came from Mercury Motorsport convincing me building a RB20 to the same kind of power levels I would like is even more of a money pit than normal. Pretty keen on taking the advice of a shop with a 960+hp R34 GTR sitting out the front (NITTO) and a completely gutted R35 wearing a fresh Carbon front bar. On a side note...who guts an R35, I was nearly in tears and I dont even like them that much.
  9. So after a long time rolling around in my head over what engine should live its life between the strut towers of my R32 I've been pushed towards a RB25DET. Now just trying to decide between the Neo version or the 'normal' 25. Only really looking towards 250rwkw of reliable power.
  10. Going from 16's to 17's shouldnt make a huge difference, and my speedo is enthusistatic anyway so getting used to the new reading wont be hard. I will find the max numbers on the plate in the morning. And joey I agree more than you could believe...
  11. Right so I have picked up a set of Volks for my R32 GTST, 17 X 8 up the front and 17 X 9 on the rear, both @ +45 offset. I have dummy fitted the fronts and they JUST sit within the guards...quite nicely I might add, and all signs point the the rears sitting inside too. Problem is they currently dont have rubber so I couldnt really tell. This isnt my problem though, Im searching for some rubber for the rears and have come across some mixed answers from tyre shops, some will fit the rubber (245 I think) and have no problem at all fitting and adjusting everything, while other places wont due to the size and offset of the rims being illegal aparently. So I though I would come to some experts and get some more info on the matter. Also these arnt just small shops with different views on the matter, they are well known. Bob Jane, Tyre Power...etc
  12. Hi guys, been having trouble with my R32 Gtst lately in the form of massive understeer. And also just the general 'feel' of the car has gone downhill. Alot more body roll than what it used to have and very unstable at times. Its pretty much standard in the steering side of things and nothing has changed lately as far as mods go. Any ideas of what the cause may be? I've been underneath and nothing is lose or broken from what I can see.
