  1. To be honest mate i am not sure, if it has the same wiring loom then "maybe" But i am pretty sure the R33 will have it's own version of the ecu, but i might be mistaken. I'll try and find out for you.
  2. Hi I have for sale 1x Apexi Power FC ECU, which comes with a hand controller. This is good for use on the R34 GT-T. Selling for $1050 I am located in Sydney.
  3. Z32 AFM is SOLD Apexi Power FC + Hand controller is now $1100, also offering free shipping.
  4. Sweet, what about the thing the line i have marked in yellow, what are the things it connects to on both ends called? - The thing down next to the Left Headlight - The other end, and what is supposed to go into the other end? It is just connected to a tube with no further connection at the moment. With regards to the Tee's i dont know why they are there, i guess they were used by a previous owner for an aftermarket boost gauge or something, they have been there this whole time and the car ran like a dream, until the defect and i pulled it all apart lol
  5. Hey, Just posting an update, took the sparks out, cleaned them and put them back in, cleaned all the seals and piping for the smic, however i think i have my vacuum hoses in the wrong spot, the one i have marked with yellow on the pictures below looks wrong. If anyone knows what hoses i shhould change based on the pics below it would be greatly appreciated. http://img337.imageshack.us/i/after1.jpg/ http://img412.imageshack.us/i/after5h.jpg/ http://img231.imageshack.us/i/after2s.jpg/ http://img155.imageshack.us/i/after3k.jpg/ http://img217.imageshack.us/i/after4.jpg/ Once someone can tell me where the mistake is, ill fix it and try starting the car. Cheers for all the help so far guys!
  6. Hey guys, I went to try your suggestion this morning however it now the car will not start. I hear the starter motor winding, and the car is trying to get ignition, it kind of half gets the ignition but then dies and just keeps winding. I suspected maybe my engine was flooded so i pulled out the sparkplugs and sure enough they were completely black and covered in carbon, i cleaned them off. I have been doing some reading in other threads etc, if my engine is indeed flooded, i'm sure by now it would of been with all that trying to start it. Should i put everything back together, re-seat all of my intercooler piping (making sure the insides are all clean before i do so) then try and start it with a WOT? From what i have read this will burn up all excess fuel in the engine. Then let the car idle for 10mins (battery has been disconnected for like 8 hours or so). Am i missing anything from this plan of attack? I do greatly appreciate all your help. PS: I think i found the original problem though, it was one of the seals connected directly to the SMIC, it didn't appear to be fastened properly
  7. Yes the AFM has the plug ready to go, it was a plug that i had to purchase seperately and get fitted by an auto electritian, i can give you it plus the wiring aswell. Yes i will post the afm + plug to you at your expense.
  8. Hey all, I have the following 2 items for sale. They are designed for use with the R34 RB25DET Neo engine Apexi PowerFC, Comes with the hand controller (commander) + recipt - $1200 Z32 AFM, - $200 Both items are in pristine condition. (Although the cardboard box the PFC comes in is a bit tired and worn out. I am selling these due to the fact that i am selling my car. Prices are firm. I am located in South West Sydney if you want to pay cash and pick up either of these items. You can PM me here, or sms me on my mobile, 0431 058 991 Matt
  9. a. the plug for the standard AFM was never removed, the plug + wiring was spliced off the original one (if that makes sense, it was done by an auto electritian) however there was a 4th wire added, which is an earth, which i currently have earthed? should i just unearth it and put tape or something over it and see if it works? b. see above. c. i am pretty sure i have standard injectors, i've only had the ecu + afm in the car for 2 weeks, injectors have not been touched during this time d. all the hoses are tight and the clamps are also done up tight. Do you think i should check my fuse box and see if i have had a short?
  10. It is a factory stock standard ECU, how would i reset it?
  11. Hi all, Just returned car to stock after getting defected. (well everything except the exhaust) Removed the FMIC and put the SMIC on Removed the pod filter and put the stock airbox in Removed the PowerFC and put the stock ECU in Removed the Z32 and put the stock AFM in No longer have BoV, just the stock one. I start the car and it seems to idle funny and is blowing black smoke, does anyone know what could of caused my car to suddenly start blowing black smoke on idle? I am at a loss. Matt
  12. Hey guys, I am after the following items, if you have in shed or garage lying around and want to sell, please pm or post here. Car is a 1998 R34 GTT 2 Door, parts required are as follows. - Side mount intercooler + piping - Stock airbox + filter + snorkel - Stock BoV (plumb back) - Stock exhaust - Stock suspension Need these parts to clear a defect. PM, or sms me on 0431058991
  13. Hey guys, just after a little bit of advice here, now i know im going to be forced to change everything back to stock, so this thread is more of a how to. I got defected yesterday on the Great Western Highway at Parramatta. Randomly got pulled over by one of those nice F6 Typhoons and asked me to pop my bonnet. They did me for. - BoV, apparantly it is atmospheric. How would i change it to plumb back? Do i need a whole set of new piping? or is it as simple as fitting a stock BoV (plumbed back)? Or does the location of the BoV along the piping have something to do with it aswell? - Ride height below 100mm They stuck some wheel below my car, the only place it failed was the exhaust pipe between the rear tyres... Told me some story about speed humps, i said to him if the car bottoms out, it doesn't happen between my rear tyres (moreso in the middle) but sitting still on the road it cleared 100mm easily so he couldnt do me for it. - Intercooler Not meeting standards, i know intercoolers can change your emissions, have any of you ever passed a blue slip test with an FMIC? - POD Filter being exposed Stupid i know, will putting it in an airbox suffice? Or is a pod filter a no-no enclosed or not? - Exhaust Not meeting standards, i think i may have to get a epa test (unsure) I was issued with a Minor warning notice with no label attached. also says i have to have a Full inspection done by AUVIS. He also issued me with 2 fines, but in the fine title, it just says "Use vehicle not comply with standards, Emissions/Silencer/noise" My question about this is, it seems vague, but i am going to go out on a limb here and say that emissions could be enforced by BoV, same as noise. But silencer?? They never even checked my exhaust system, and i didn't have the silencer switched on when they pulled me over. The goal is to return the car to an acceptable level so it can pass AUVIS and so i can get my defect cleared, so i can sell it, unfortunately, it was great to have, but police attention is not something i want, so i will probably get a honda jazz or something lol. Does anyone know anyone in the South West of Sydney who is AUVIS certified? Also does anyone know how much it is likely to cost me to fix the issues with this car? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Matt
  14. Just put this in my car, 5w40. Running like a dream, the idle is much much smoother now.
  15. Hey, If any of you have wrecked an R34 GT-T or have a halfcut that you bought for some parts but don't need the Black Plastic Guard (Passenger side) and the black guard that goes directly underneath the engine, let me know. I am located in Sydney, pickup ASAP is preferred. SMS me if you have, or know someone that can sell me the guards. Or PM me here 0431058991
  16. In reply to the above, i had an auto elec fit mine, he just earthed the 4th wire I have a PFC, even with the self learn process it still does not allow the car to run properly, when you install one of these, make sure you just splice off the existing wire and leave the existing plug intact incase you need to go back to stock. I gaurantee you will need to get the car tuned afterwards, it simply doesn't run properly unless it gets the tune
  17. I have this issue, my R34 has 3 wires, but apparantly the adapter plugs for the Z32 (which i was told by the person i bought it from on the SAU forums that it was suited for the R34 RE25DET Neo engine, which is what i have), but his AFM didn't come with a plug because his tuner lost it, so i went to an auto elec and they said the plug for my Z32 AFM is 6 pin with 4 wires. Have i got the wrong AFM? Is there a different plug? Is there a work around? Cheers, Matt
  18. I know i am digging up an extremely old thread, but, what is the actual size of the gauges inside the cluster? 52mm or 60mm? Just am after a definate answer as i am probably misinterpreting what the others have posted. I, like the OP is planning to use the original housing, and remove the 1 piece cluster and replace it with 3 after market gauges. Can anyone tell me the size i need to buy to have a perfect fit? Cheers
  19. As title says, i am after a plug to suit my Z32 AFM for my R34. Seller preferably in sydney, but i will pay for postage if someone else has one
