    The Future Of E85 In Australia (not Looking Good)

    The inputs to E85 (corn -24% over last 12 months) did not drop as dramatically as the cost of inputs to petrol (oil -50% over last 12 months)

    Even though the oil and petrol prices are up, United have not reinstated the discount to regular unleaded which was in place when I switched to E85.

    The discount has gone from 20c to 16 to 8 to 4 to 0 now! Still cheaper than premium, but less than previously.

    United appear to be taking the piss.

    That said - still happy to run E85 coz the car loves it and its not a daily.

    Had a spot booked for a mate who can no longer make it.

    Day has instructors and is the full GP circuit.

    Can secure you the spot for $240, which is $100 less than the regular price.

    Details:

    AFTERNOON SESSION 1PM - 5PM
    • New drivers and experienced drivers (two separate groups) in road registered vehicles only. Cars in this sesion without current road registration will need to be assessed on an individual basis - please contact The Formula Company on +612 8814 9083 or [email protected] to discuss.
    • Alternating 20 minute sessions.
    • A total of 6 x 20 driving sessions for each group.
    • A current Australian road licence is required to participate and must be presented at sign in. A MINIMUM OF A P1 (RED P-PLATE) LICENCE IS REQUIRED.
    • Long sleeve shirt and pants covering neck to ankle and closed-toed shoes must be worn.
    • Cars can be shared. If drivers are running in the same group, only one entry fee applies. If the drivers are running in different groups they must register and pay individually.
    • Guests are welcome to come and watch but must sign an indemnity form on arrival. No passenger rides allowed.
