  1. intending to change the steering wheel on my R33 GTST. want to keep a standard look but want a smaller wheel like on off a R34 GTR, R34 GTT or S15. do these all fit with no problems to the R33 setup? anyone have any of these for sale at a good price?

  4. took my r33 gtst down the quarter few months back. planning on giving it another run in a few weeks. with normal street tyres (cheapo nangkangs) i managed 13.0@ around 113mph with 2.3 60foot. i went another time with mickey drag slicks and manages 13.2 as the slick was rubbing on the rear drivers side. when at full stick the car also seemed to shake and feel like the car was going to steer into the side wall. tyre pressure was 15psi on the slicks and 35psi on my normal street tyres at the front. someone mentioned using front runners but not sure on this at all. who uses them? i though only full on drag cars. any other methods to solve this problem? whats its cause?

  6. gucio external wastegate is usually a better option on high output turbos. i dont see it as thatr much of an issue in ur application, especially not at 14psi. i ran 21psi with an internally gated turbo and when setup well there are no problems. usually just playing around with ur boost controller.

  8. SS( gohan he prob has a power fc hand controller. thats how u would see the level of detonation/ping/knock whatever. if it gets bad u will hear it. liklt coins being hit together..
  9. i would not see this as much of a problem. my gearbox has had light shavings come out of the oil like that. i worries at first then just forgot about it. now 1 year on 260rwkw and very hard driving its fine. no problems yet. i use genuine nissan oil too and have found no problems. everyone says something different so i dont really have too much personal oppinion about the oil u use as long as its not dodgy..
  10. ezi09s that a load of crap. the longer the length of the hose from wastegate to bleeder etc the worse the setup will be. i have used a bleeder before and have tried all options. they seem to be good up to around 10 or 12 psi then just become useless due to the boost spikes. bought an ebc, but they are a pain in the arse setting up. still when done properly they work a treat.
  11. i dont understand? are you saying you put the afm on intake side? i have a trust plenum so the afm should sit after then plenum? how would that work? rb26s13 i am using a gt3540.
  12. yeah read your tutorial paulr33, very nice! Stockmcstock what do you mean by "dude, put your AFM in the cooler pipe. fixed."? how do i do this??
  13. where can i get the d-jetro from? can this be tuned everywhere as the AFM version? is it a better version of the power FC (better mapping?). i personally thing the 4" pipe into the 2.5" pipe looks stupid but i could prob deal with the 3" Q45 deal.. thanks..
  14. im considering swapping from my current power FC to another computer as i dont want to use an afm. I have a 4" mouth turbo which will look stupid if it narrows into a 2.5" Z32 air flow meter. what is another good computer to use? can power FC be used without an afm? what is the power FC DE-Jetro? Thanks..

  18. i was told that the gtr crank wil give me 2.71 litres. and ill stil be able to rev the motor till like 8,000
  19. paul yeah i understand that is the advantage of the rb30. i also understand that the mottor does not fit too well in an R33 engine bay (clearance issues with bonnet). i feel if i start with the rb30 i will be opening a basket of problems.
  20. was strongly considering doin gthe RB30 but i want the car to rev hard. 7000rpm is just not enough for me. i know with this turbo i can easily make the power i want with a stroked 2.5. So anyone know how the GTR crank goes?? what has to be done??
  21. In the next few months will start to bolt up the GT35R to my R33 gtst. at the moment i have it with a 0.83 exhaust housing. Will be bolting this up on the standard motor so not expecting it to last long.l What i intend to do is rebuild the motor again but with forgies and the lot. One thing i have considered is stroking the motor. I have heard of the tomei 2.8L kit for $7500 with with crank/rods/pistons. Rather than forking out this much can i use a GTR crank? will this stroke out the motor? How much? has anyone done this? what exactly is involved. im not too cluey with all this stuff so any help is appreciated. what costs are invlved with a reliable 400rwkw rebuild? Thanks..
  22. how big is the Q45? i think my Z32 is 2.5 inches in diameter?
  23. mine are: 1) nismo cigarette lighter (chiicks love this one!) 2) momo steering wheel (with NOS buttons) 3) titanium annodised tyre caps (gotta keep that air in!)
  24. i have cams so compressor surge sgould not be a prob. you cant call the guy a bullshiter as you have not gone round to see the car. why would he waste his time and preach things that are not real. i am amazed with the power yet curious as i goes against what many say. im very keen to see it in the flesh. this guy seems to know what he is on about so i would not sit there trying to criticise him when you prob have half the idea.
