  1. I used to have a 1990 GTS-t Type M, and I also did the GTR front clip swap it due to the T's front clip being very unsightly. It looked sweet but I did leave the rear badge saying GTS-t. It was a GTS-t and thier was no reason to put the badge of a GTR on it. Besides it only had the RB20DET in it. Now if I did the 26 swap which alot of people here in Japan do, then .... hmmm... naw I would still leave the GTS-t badge on it...hehe! Now I have a real GTR .....with many problems of course!!!
  2. Sup guys... its been awile since i posted last. Alot has happened since then. Well here we go ... I sold my GTS-t and bought a tuned GTR back in Feb. When I went to go pick it up from the dealer the turbos died right their on the spot. So I had to replace the broken HKS 2540's with a set of Nismo T04E's from my friends wrecked R33. Anyhow it was in the shop for about a month and a half. Then after a couple weeks driving time and a few good runs the engine starts to knock really bad...(it started knocking on the way down to the track under normal conditions!!!) Well I just got it back from the shop. They replaced the crank bearings and conrod bearings with the Nismo lemans bearings and new oil pump and a HICAS cancel kit and a bunch of other stuff. Anyhow it ran great for the first day, then today I took it up to Amori (northern Japan) to get me a new BOV cause my old one is way to small and it started knocking again ...... God D!@@%##!@#% !@#% Any how I called the shop and they are coming up tomorrow to pick it up. What should I do? The first bill was 366,968 Yen Ouch!! I need input....I feel like pulling out all my hair and run around like a chicken with its head cut off. This car is driving me crazy!!!
  3. Well I think I am going to just buy a HICAS Cancel Kit and lock the rear end and then just unplug the HICAS Computer. I tried unpluging the HICAS computer yesturday and I got my power stearing back. But when I pluged it back in it was gone again. Anyhow my mechanic did the diag test and found out that the HICAS computer is in safe mode, and we cannot figure out how to get it out.
  4. ok.... let me say this: I already have the correct boss kit, and I know where all the parts are on the car, to include the power stearing resivor, and its filled to the proper capasity. Like I said before I already replaced the rotation sensor in the stearing column, and the power stearing pump itself. But I still have the problem with no power stearing. Parking is such a pain with no power stearing! Sorry to sound firm but i'm very frustrated right now, oh and ..lol Eric
  5. The fluid level was the first thing I checked and double checked and the level and all is good. How would I go about purging or bleeding my power stearing system, if their is an air bubble? I'm only down to 3 more options left as I see it, Replace the cut off valve attached to the HICAS sylinoid, Replace both left & right sylinoid, Replace the HICAS computer in the rear deck. ??? Thanks, Eric Oh yeah, (off subject) my car ran low 11's that night too....hehe
  6. Ok all, I was at the track last Friday and lost my power stearing at the end of a pass and the HICAS light came on. When I got home I replaced the power stearing pump and also replaced the HICAS switch behind the stearing wheel. My question is how do I get my power stearing back???? It is still not returned and I'm about to replace the sensor contected to the HICAS pump on the RH side of the engine bay next to the oil filter. I had a shop do a diagnostic on it and they said that the stearing wheel switch was bad so I replaced it but their is no differance. Still no power stearing and damn light is still on!!! HELP..............SOS.... Eric
  7. The turbo problem was diagnosed at the Nissan dealership! They said the the rear turbo is in excellent shape but the front one is "sticky". They said that is why the car runs like crap at normal speeds and low load. Under full throttle or full boost the car runs strong but not as strong as it should. When I turn it off you can hear the rear turbo spinning but the front is not . (kinda like a frozen caliper on a disk brake-it works badly while you drive but when you slow down it wants to skid the tire..) I have a couple of freinds looking for factory used turbos so that I can use those temporarally. We called HKS Japan and they said that only a handfull of shops are cretified with them to rebuild their BB turbos. And its going to cost me around 70,000Yen for both. I guess some really special tools are needed?? Here is an updated picture ................ OH and the oil catch tank is temp. disconnected till we get it tuned properly...lol
  8. No codes are registering from the ecu. I just replaced the plugs with NISMO platinum plugs, and no difference. I think that maybe the exahust cam is positioned wrong??? But, tuning the exahust cam would be very hard due to the #1 turbo being bad right?? My freind is looking for a replacement HKS GT2530 for me and if that falls through then I have to take both off and send them down to HKS tokyo and have them rebuilt!! Do you guys think that because one of the turbos are bad that could be the reason why it can't be tuned properly right now? (dumb question but i have to ask).... Eric
  9. I had the AFM's ran through nissans diagnosic machine (they are Z32 AFM's by the way) and they responded great so they told me they were ok. Another guy said that it could be fuel dillivery?? Yes my car is the same one as in my avitar! <---------
  10. (spell check off)..hehe Ok, I got my 1991 GTR back from the tuning shop and they said that the #1 turbo is bad (HKSGT2530's) the bearing is going out. He said that the #2 turbo will suck the air but the #1 turbo blows it out????? Will a bad bearing cause this?? Also under full accelleration the car runs great but under lets say 1/2 load or 1/4 load (load being pedal position from off to the floor) the car runs really bad, sputtering allot, sounding like a choking chicken..lol! Please HELP!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hey guys, I'm new here and just wanted to show off my new 91' GTR. Here is a pic of it at the dealership when I picked it up. I will post more when I get it back from the tuner shop
