Im 90% sure it would be your igniter. My rb20 did the same thing, it was really hard to start, but shortly after, the car didnt start at all and the first thing i replaced was the igniter. ran perfectly after.

Do a compression test and a radiator pressure test. but the 25 idea sounds great,

agreed, dont bother with the rb20 one, yuck... lol. took mine off to change the exhaust gasket and i dont understand how it can push 10psi throw it. lol.

running rich, i guess leave it until you get it off defect and put everything you had back on it.

do a self diognostics on the computer and it might come up with the problem. the exhaust gas light comes on and falshes out codes aswell as the ecu. so it might bee leanining out if the light is coming on.

yea, im meaning to buy a 600x300x76 intercooler off boostcruising brand new for $150, but doesnt have the same side intet/out let. and i dont really like the idea of running 6 kilometers of piping before it goes into the engine.

killer wasps, hehe. sweet as. they difficult to fit? i might go for a bigger after market rx6 intercooler, because i give the car a fair bit of curry and it gets extremely hot, and it doesnt help when i live in Darwin

yea iv got the same wires. the wires cut use to have a connection on it which goes to another connection going to the heater hoses on the fire wall at around the same hight as the wires. mine have been unplugged for years.

looking for an intercooler for my R32, and i was considering the coolers that have the same side inlet and out lets. anyone had any experience with these? know where to get any? iv tried to look for them and cant find them, iv even considering buying one off a xr6 turbo? think that might work?

Anyone that is parting out an rb20det with an Igniter/ignition module (the square box with two plugs coming out of it at the back of the rocker cover) please let me know asap. thanks

im not the smartest of the bunch but just throwing ideas out, i havent read up on this problem either. lol. maybe try putting it on a dyno? do a self diagnostics on the computer to see if it results come up with anything, i have read somewhere that a TPS can cause this?

mates having a little bit of the same problems as yours, we will be replacing the slave as thats what we think is causing the problom, his is on holidays so will let you know when he gets back if its the problem or not.

the gearbox is out of an 200zr, with the rb20det engine in it. so im pretty sure it will line up. other then that, does anyone have the length of the gearbox from the bell housing to the middle of the gearshifter hole...if you know what i mean. lol. just to make sure it will fit in my 32.

hey, iv tried to search this but couldnt find anything anyway, Does anyone know if the rb25de flywheel is alright to use in a rb20det r32? if not does anyone have a flywheel to go into a rb20det. lol. cheers

sweet, im pretty sure the guy said it was out of an r31...i think. will double check on that just to make sure.

hi, just wondering, will a rb20det redtop gearbox (pretty sure it is) fit into an rb20det r32? pretty sure it will, but just making sure becuase im doing a manual converstion. thanks

Hey, Couple of days ago i did a diagnostics test on my r32. the test came back with the fault 21 (ignition curcuit) after the test the car didnt start.... WTF?? it had a aftermarket computer it in. until i ripped it out and got a HUGE hammer and smashed it because i thought it was the reason, plus it made my car run like crap. reconnected the ecu and now the car still isnt starting. Cranks over. did some research on the net and found someone with the same problem as mine until they changed the igniter, or ignition module?? (on the top of the rocker cover at the back of the engine) which started the car first go. could this be my problem. my 32 had some trouple starting sometimes before hand but it did fire up most of the time but sometimes it would hesitate to start and it took me a few goes. then everytime i accelerated from idle, the revs would drop down and bounce back up again. any ideas? cheers.
