  1. Non standard BOV creates the flutter.... but be warned it is a sure way to attract the attention of the police and nice little fine.

    Is that state specific ?

Like i see alot of r32's,33's 180's 200's, and s15's around with aftermarket bov's that are clearly audible in QLD.

Do the same rules apply across aus ?

  2. From a Dyno thread

    yeah thats pretty keen.

Im suprised the loss from fly to wheel on the standard setup!

looks like quite a modded m35 - nice ride scott!

looks like there will be lots to be done to mine to even get it close to that level.

switch for the stally eh.. techy!

  3. M35's can launch? ;)

have you seen this stocky NM35 with a full tank of fuel and baby seat removed eating commodores and getting 13.5 on the quarter out of 4 runs that another dude posted on another thread.

Always gonna launch reasonable with awd and such a heavy vehicle :)

  4. Just copy and fill in the table;

    Skyline model = R32 GTSt

    Wheel diameter = 18"

    Wheel width = 10"

    Wheel offset = +1mm ;)

Tyre size = cant remember probably 245 or 255

Modifications to fit = Roll & flare guards, stick out about 4cm from existing guards. needs a rear bar for them to look good... not good for defects..... almost needs widebody...

    haha damn thats keen.

First thing i thought when i saw that .. was crazy arabs with 22"s and so much camber steering components are touching the ground!

    NM35 Stagea 2002

    Autogaurd jap tyres

    17 x 45 x 235 stock

    came stock no modifications

thinking of going straight to 19's with 245s all round.. looking to go straight on!

  5. My NM35 Stag was only imported to melbs in november 09 so it hasnt even been in country a year.

It came with 17 x 235 x 45 tyres branded "Autogaurd" on the stocky 5 spoke 17 nissan rims ,

They work fine. just damn noisy on aussie roads with a constant whining that sounds like a jet plane.

Anyone else get this issue with Jap tyres ?

    Is it a compound thing?

Anyway ..anyone suggest a reasonably priced tyre for the stag in the 17inch flavour?

Should i change rim size to the 18's or the 19's and is it true with NM35 stags (hicas inparticular) they perform worse with 18's and throw out the suspension?

  6. You're welcome dude.

I'm pretty new to them also.. i've owned mine a week now.

Although Ive been wanting one for 4-5 years prior but could never afford it until recently.

its by far the best car purchase ive ever made ;)

  7. Sweet. Hoping to pick up the car tomorrow after work :(

Thanks Iain. Looking forward to owning and driving the M35.

I can't believe their a 2002 model. They look so modern.

What's the go with the flutter on this video? Is this just because that part of the intake pipe was removed?

nah thats the examination panel for the air filter. just a cover on it sits there loosely.

and in answer to your other question ..definately not..thats a aftermarket bov on that thing... no turbo flutter on my vq although i wouldnt mind it ;D

Also done some reading up on the NM35's (neo based autos) and they do have a similar setup driveline wise to a GTR ,

A site mentioned something to this effect ..

    1. sports mode - puts enough traction to the front to stop the rear from losing traction (80-20~)

    2. syncro mode - 50-50 equally front and rear percentage

    3. snow mode - hydrolic/hicas sensitive for launch control so theres no wheel spin (even with your foot flat wont deliver power to rear diff until youve taken off).

    hope that helps

  8. I'm at Forest Lake but dont mind driving for a decent shop without getting ripped off.

shes already costing me abit lol.

5% window tint = pull me over lol.

I have a turbosmart boost controller, just one of those ones that sits in the engine bay and winds up and down.

I wanna get a digital BC for inside the car and probly do the BOV and wastegate.

Forest lake hey...same here , you dont own that white r33 thats parked outside brodies quite often do you?

  9. hey guys; don;t let me run on my own meet me at eastern creek drags, tommorow night.

lets see what the m35 do stock ,except for my exaust.

    rudi ..

Hehe i only got my m35 last week, but id like to see what it does stock also

I'll be interested to hear what you pull.

    (stock m35 with vq25det driveline)

  10. I'm a newbie to stags and nissans in general,

I've Got a m35 neo with VQ25DET with only 65,000kms on it. its an auto with the sports/snow/syncro modes

In the sports mode its fine in reverse and driving and makes next to nil noise, but in either snow or syncro modes it makes some strange diff sounds reversing. like clunks

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Is it diff related or electrical or is it supposed to do that? :?

  11. Sorry mate, just re-read the thread and saw M35 instead of V35... hahaha. Theres a few active Stagea guys down the goldcoast if you're keen on meet up.

hehe you threw me good.. i was thinking..im such a noob I dont even know what model my car is!

But that would be very cool for a meetup.

Not sure my stag is the same calibre as that but i certainly love it as my first Nissan. out of 5 turbo cars ive owned it's been my favourite by far and i've only had it a week :D

trying to make up excuses to the mrs to go out for a daily drive

  12. Hi there!

I'm a newbie to nissans its my first nissan ever but i just got a m35 (VQ25DET) 2002 Stagea and im very pleased with it as its not the best of lookers but its certainly stealthy looking and sounding :action-smiley-069:

Its totally debadged but came with the luxury pack (cream leather interior).
