  1. yeh it is fairly stock, might happen in a few yrs when i end up doing the modifications along the way, and with more servos stocking it, cheers
  2. what kind of fuel system modifications? obviously larger injectors, but will it need fully braded lines or something? very complicated/expensive?, and what about power increase and the wear on the engine, better or worse for the life of engine? will it need changes to maintenance/oils used etc.. so essentually is it worth doing, keeping in mind a new ecu and tune is already on the cards. cheers
  3. wondering if anyone knows much about E85 fuel? did some reading and found fuel consuption can be reduced and it can take off a varnish that petrol leaves in fuel system which can clog injectors ect, also wondering if the 14yr old engine/fuel system components eg; mild metals, plastics can handle that amount of alcohol???... but its haisy on effects to performance, maybe increasing power with tuned ecu's. Iv got a r33 rb25dett and want to get it tuned soon, wondering if i will need a new ecu(only got stock atm) to run E85, and multiple maps to go back to regular petrol? Cheers
  4. well i think people here are unsure about whether they can drive a r33 turbo on ps or not or not, i was just saying that the cop knew i was on my p plates but didnt investigate whether i was aloud to drive the car or not, so maybe p platers are aloud. i had a look on vicroads websit and we r aloud to drive turbos but its limited to 130kw per tonne or something, so my reason for posting is to hopefully clear confusion for other members

I recnetly got a series 2 r33 gtst and was driving it home from endeavour hills to hawthorn and got pulled over within 45mins of owning the car, i showed the cop the rwc i got with the car so he didnt really look over it much, however i didnt have any p plates up, hadnt been to pety station to get any, so i got done for no p plates, i thought i was f**ked as being too powerful car for p plate driver, but he didnt mention it, LLuucky, but i havent recieved any letter from vic roads regarding licencing issues and its already been a month, strange?? im hoping someone f**ked up along the way cause i opnly have one point left... aaagggrrr
  6. My family has a transport company with semis, that turbo is as big or bigger than the turbos running on our 14litre cummins and detroit engines.

  8. just heard back from the mechanic, reckons its a walsh plug, they are made out of a mild grade steel and when cars get to this age they just rust out, he reckons these things just happen, gona replace them with brass ones for higher quality plus found out stud on intake manifold is missin(losing boost), and all radiator/heater hoses are corroded, as from mixing coolents/not flushing hence need to be replaced,.. and he reckons ticking is fine, maybe thrust bearings in clutch as when i put the clutch in it goes away momentarily. 1.5k down the track hopefully i will have a fast reliable r33. pretty pissed off but its life i guess. cheers for the help
  9. hey iv recently purchased a beautiful r33 gtst series 2, i did first oils/filter change on the w/e when i noticed a considerable water leek coming from the turbo, (i think), hopefully a hose or something, added to this there is a distinct ticking noise at idle, sounds like maybe the turbo as well, but its also become louder now, but it still spouls and boosts fine, no noises through boost, what do u thinkn it could be? cheers, ps only factory turbo
  10. hi everyone, can you help?? What mods to do first i just purchased a close to stock r33 series 2 gtst, great condition in my opinion, its got a 3 inch exhaust set up, pod filter, and aftermaket intercooler, super low king springs, and a blitz boost controller but not currently installed.. only stock boost settings, would the best option to buy a power fc ecu, and get it retunned or would i be better to do something else first??? and if so, where can i locate cheap performance parts?? and i live in melbourne, whats the good tuning shops in melbourne??
