  2. Hey all the replacement RB20 i've installed in my girlfriends 32 gts-t is a dud and we're urgently chasing another.. The head is good so a good condition bottom end would probably do the job fine, this motor i bought from someone on here which apparently had 76ks on it has 50psi on 6th and 90 on 5th and have been quoted a big price for the full engine rebuild it needs!! So thinking its probably going to be a hell of a lot cheaper to find a 2nd hand motor in good condition this time! I don't need turbo, loom, injectors, manifold, cams, coils or anything as the car currently has all that plus a spare lot of most things from the old one!! Any help finding one would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers, Tobbie

Hey buddy, it was re-sprayed in 2004 i think, but one side was only done 12 months ago, hoping it doesn't crack, I think i have someone to do it now who is an actual bodywork's so he can re-spray if it cracks through!! Its running 18x10 +22 on the rear, with a 235/40 tyre stretched onto it.. fitment is sweet just eating the very outside wall of the tyre when going over small bumps :s it would be fine with a little bit of camber, but that inner lip is still standard so i doubt it would scrub half as much if it was rolled flat, and then i'm going to have it flared a bit so as i can go a little lower also I'll try and post up some pics when i'm done!!
  5. Hey all!! Put some 18x10's on my R32 today and they are scrubbing quite violently haha, looking for someone to roll the inner lip flat, and maybe a slight pull also.. The guards are perfectly standard, and don't appear to have any bog or rust!! After a good price but someone that wont destroy the paint work! Any recommendations and prices would be sweet!   7. I Don't have a PCV valve because of the catch can, i had a straight pipe on the first motor but then changed to a 3' stainless with hi-flow cat and it is still smoking!!

  9. The oil line from the bottom of the turbo?? Is it possible it was blocked from the blown headgasket and turbo from the old motor??
  10. Hey all i've had this car for about 6 months now and the entire time it has been on and off pouring out with white smoke from the exhaust pipe when idling!! Here are the details: 1989 R32 GTS-t, RB20det, FMIC, 3' exhaust, catch can, greedy boost cont. (12psi) Brought the motor with a blown headgasket blowing white smoke on idle and when i pulled the head off it had blown a hole through one of the exhaust valves and ruined the first piston bore.. -Tracked down a 76000k unflogged rb20, installed it transferring over: -Intake manifold/injectors -Turbo/manifold -Rocker Covers -Coilpacks and kept all the wiring and FMC, CAtch can etc. attatched Ran motor in, still blowing white smoke on idle once warm Assumed the turbo was blown so installed an RB25 turbo in what seemed decent condition with some shaft play. Turbo ran fine and held boost awesome, but then got back home and the car started blowing the smoke again!! Pulled the catch can out and it had water and oil in it so flushed that out and also installed a brand new 3' stainless exhaust and cat from the turbo back! (The old pipe was full of sludge!) No smoke for prob about 3 or 4 days with about an hours driving each day until today it came back just as bad!! Mechanic seems to think its the turbo but i'm finding it hard to believe that two turbos and two motors do exactly the same thing?? Any help would be AWESOME Thank you
  11. Wanted replacement RB25 turbo in good condition, as this is the 2nd one i've had with a buggered oil seal and oodles of white smoke chuffing out on idle or does anyone know someone that will rebuild it down here at a good price?? Cash waiting!

Yeah i believe they were, well it's funny you say that because randomly i'll come out to the garage and the alarm wont respond at all, so i open the car with the key and it won't turn over because it has no power!! So after the first time i figured out that jiggling the terminals on the battery makes it come back on, its done this prob 3 or 4 times over the last few months, i've never had an issue with the battery but should i replace that too?? Or just the terminals?
  13. Ah cheers dave but i had a really decent inspection today and they all look to be perfect, all wiring and connectors the coils themselves look like new!! Can't for the life of me get it to do the same thing again!! Has been started randomly a couple times a day and drove it for hours today... What could have caused it?? I'm beginning to think the problem is gone, is there any chance that having a very flat battery could cause this?? The battery was dead and i had to jump start it to drive it the day it started happening?

  16. Will do daniel, cheers heaps mate. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a corroded pin somewhere playing up, so over this car i've had nothing but problems the last month or two straight!! What is the best way to test for a dud coilpack?? Just run while its missing and pull them out one at a time until it doesn't change the RPM and i know thats the dud one?? or is there a better way? Anyone know of any decent coil packs for sale?? Preferably aftermarket
  17. THinking coil packs, just took it for a decent drive down past hounville ran fine the whole way not a hiccup still got shitloads of power so it must be a random drop out occuring or a f**ked sensor??
  18. Yeah i tried wiggling the AFM around its just strange because it will run fine now but then just randomly start doing it!! Don't think its blowing any smoke toff and yeah checked the lines, but i didn't know cooler piping would make it miss?? I'll double check all the clamps.

Gday,after some help with my skyline again i was driving my 32 gts-t today after just collecting it from the mechanics and it seemed it was starving for fuel after half hour of driving and began missing and running on 4 cylinders or so. I put $30 fuel in it, revved it out once or twice, drove it out and it was running perfect again halfway down the street. trip to work and back and sandy bay-work and back and got it home and pulled up and it started missing again, drove to the fuel station filled it entirely with fuel and drove it back home and it was still doing it, ran for about 15 minutes and checked over everything briefly and it is still missing, has lost atleast 50% power! Does anyone know what might be causing it?? Service was completed around 200k's ago (Oil, Filter, Plugs) Bosch 040 installed 3 months ago, including fuel filter and some frayed fuel line replaced, and only just had water pump and timing belt etc done. motor has done around 70,000ks Cheers any help would be awesome!!

  21. Ok i brought a new one just to be safe and got a brand new nismo reinforced ball pretty cheap so hopefully i'll never see this problem again Thanks for the help! DanielH did you end up finding that 32 gauge cluster at all mate?
  22. Yeah turns out the slave cylinder has shat itself and caused the pivot ball to break also!!! Gahhhhhhh and after only getting everything replaced 3 weeks ago so much money and I look after the car so well!

Yeah thinking the slave cylinder too, but nick shaw seems to think that one shouldn't have died, would the fork pivot ball cause the pedal to stick like that too? it has about 4mm of pressure when we were trying to bleed it up but not enough to get into gears or anything!!   24. Hey all the clutch on my R32 GTS-T just died out on the way home the clutch itself is probably 9 months old and has never been driven hard. It basically lost all pressure in the pedal and wasn't springing back from the floor, the weirdest thing is that i had a brand new Master cylinder and a second hand working Slave installed only a month ago and properly bled up all professionally!! It seems to have dropped a small amount of fluid but the reservoir was still above empty, we attempted filling it up and bleeding on the side of the road for about 15 mins to no avail. Does anyone seem to know what this may be or at least a general idea on what i should look at fixing? I'm going to have a decent look tomorrow to check for leaking or split lines but I doubt i'm going to be able to tell where the problem lies. Cheers any help would be great
