  1. how much of a difference is that going to make do you think? Also i think it already has a heavy duty clutch in it.
  2. It's quite simple. They both got nothing on skylines. So buy a nissan instead of throwing your money away. Nah it's just like syfon said, it depends on what you want the car to do for you.
  3. Forgot to mention it's a manual and just a standard accent hatch.
  4. Firstly, I'd like to mention it's my partners car. Although it is still a comfy drive and very very good on fuel. Any way, the questions. Q1: What are the fattest tires rims/tyres we'll fit on the car without sticking out the gaurds lots and no rubbing (car is a hatch). And Q2: What modifications can we make to get just a little bit more out of it without being stupid and ruining its drivability. Was thinking along the lines of a computer chip or new computer or something like that. Can't find much info about it so i was just wondering if any one has and suggestions or ideas. cheers
  5. Most likely the belt on ya starter motor. Like t revs said, have a look at all ya belts, if its frayed or cracked or just plainly looks crap. Change it over for a new one!
  6. I find pulling it apart and putting it back together again without actually changing anything usually fixes it. Either that or make it worse. Actually, it usually makes it worse. Wouldn't advise doing so.
  7. the turbo has had the housing brought out. Not sure how much. Nut i will get back to ya's on that one.
  8. my thoughts exactly. Most likely a belt. Is it a whiney squeal?
  9. yeah. At the end of the day with the stuff i'm doing to the car it will be making more power even if i wasn't putting a turbo in. Seeing as the engine i had was on its way out. I'm hanging out to get it back though. Hopefully the final result is a good one. It'll give me something to build on and hopefully help people who decide to do something simular!
  10. guess we'll have to wait for the results. Either way it can't get any slower.
  11. i watched that when i first considered the srtup and decided it would be worth a try.
  12. jump on youtube and search "sts turbo nissan" and it has a few video's up on there. Don't think it has specs though.
  13. no updates yet other then i have found new bumpers for my car. Not that exciting for all you fulla's. Should hopefully, might possibly have the car back early this week. However i'm not holding my breath cause i've been told that at least 3 times now.
  14. only way i see you solving it is driving up to 185 where it peaks and looking at your tacho.
  15. Got a picture of those rims?
  16. well if your taking it out of one tank and putting it in another tank it shouldn't matter which one it is should it?
  17. Buy a good old r31. Slap a turbo on it. You more then likely have one laying around, stiffen the arse end and ya done.
  18. very good job. however i do see one flaw, where's the stubby holder? might i suggest welding something to the vertical post so you can easily access your nice cold beer on those sunny hot days.
  19. What makes you say that? And i can't tell if thats sarcasm or not. Cause im not very clever.
  20. I find cut springs do a pretty good job of lowering your car. Then slap in some stiff as shockies and bob's ya uncle. However i cannot promise that if you do this, that bob will become your uncle.
  21. Theres probably already a thread on this somewhere, howerver i can't find it. so, without modifying the body work or the wheel arch, how fat tyres/rims will i fit on the back and front without rubbing? keeping in mind that the car sits fairly low and the tyres are already up in the wheels arch. any one have an idea or know? plus any suggestions on what tyres and rims to get? i'm looking for something subtle that doesn't stand out too much. and my car is a street car, i don't do burnouts but i like to give it a squirt off the line sometimes and want something that'll stick. i do however find my self "accidently" slipping out sideways occasionally when its wet, i swear that such an occurence is purely accidental, who's ever heard of a skyline driver purposly putting their car sideways around corners? cheers
  22. You should be able to get a fair amount out of an rb30 with only 1 turbo. Easily achieve over 300 rwkw.
  23. Just tie the rottie up on a nice long leash right next to the car. That should fix the little barstards.
  24. What colour buddy? And are they in imaculant condition?
