Hey I got a stock 32 gtst with a 3inch cat back exhaust and a hollowed cat, it feels more gutless than a stock 32 should does anyone know if an empty cat on a stock car drops performance

k n where do i get it because sprints and repco have no listings for skyline o2 sensors n i dont want to order the wrong one from ebay or something

the new one and the old one are identical in shape and size, the plug is also exactly the same but i'd say that there's bout 5mm difference in the thread diameter. the replacement which is too small to screw into my dump pipe says NGK 205 JAPAN on it, below that on the nut, it says 2E21. cant see what the old one says on it because it's in the car n i can only ever undo it with a rattle gun

hey ive just bought another stock o2 sensor, im confused because i have a stock dump pipe and the original o2 sensor is factory yet my replacement o2 sensor is the same as my old one in every way BUT the thread on the new one has a much smaller diameter than my old one so it just drops in the hole and cant be tightened, anyone heard of this before ??

i have the EXACT same problem, im about to carry out a gearbox oil change today, ill let you know if theres a difference, i would of done it yesterday but i didnt have a socket that fit the filling plug, 20mm too small, 22, too big, bought a 21, still too big so i think its an imperial

would taking it to a tuning place help or would it be worth trying to find the fault myself ? so far ive spent 600 on splitfires after cartoys said thats what the problem was, i dont want to replace all the sensors in my car before finding the problem and thousands later. Im under the impression that they can hook their computers up n find the faults quickly but i dunno

and i guess if the sensor is screwed would it help to unplug it or would it make no difference?

well can i get this sensor at sprints ? Or do i need to look somewhere else, cos i asked sprints for an o2 sensor and they didnt list it for an r32

sigh starting to smell petrol again when i drive and thats with o2 sensor disconnected

by the way since ive done a decent drive with the o2 sensor dissconnected i think ive noticed better mpg but i might be imagining it also dont smell any petrol so far.

where bouts is the cooling temp sensor ? its not the one at teh bottom of the radiator is it ? im pretty novice

hey guys so ive dissconnected the o2 sensor now, haven't noticed a change yet as i only took it for a fang around the block, would i be able to diagnose if my afm and o2 sensor work correctly by taking to them with a multimeter ??

do you have the steering wheel by any chance ??

ohhhh my bad cheers, is there any reason to think maybe the AFM is faulty aswell ?

at least you didnt just buy $640 woth of splitfires n see almost no difference

righto ill try the o2 sensor but why will dissconecting the sensor help though? i dont actually know but wouldnt things get worse removing it ill try it anyway see what happens

Hey guys i have a 89 R32, the car is running rich, i waste soooo much money on fuel, can smell petrol when i drive and on occasion get backfiring issues. Its not heavily modded, it has 3 inch cat back, gutted cat, running 15psi and has splitfires and new plugs. The car was horrible before i put the splitfires in, i had zero accelloration and the car would backfire faster rather than increase speed. splitfires have given me better millage and much better performance but the car is still running rich as with the same problems but scaled down a bit now. Can anyone please suggest why the car is running rich thanks guys.
