Yeah I thought that just because of where the sound was and what it actually sounded like, do you know why its making that sound besides it obviously being warn out

K well like it says, I get a grinding noise on sta rt up sound gear box related and noise comes from that general area, it sounds like spinning metal but goes away after bout a second our two, and won't happen again in the same day no matter how many stop and starts it gets any ideas would be good.

Nah it was just a fuse on the alarm loom which was hard to find, that's why I thought the alarm was screwed, by the way it's a Cheetah alarm from car toys, I explained the situation to them and they recommended replacing the unit for 250 not including labour, they never even mentioned that it could be a fuse, they're expensive and dodgy I don't recommend getting them to do work on your car, I know other examples of them ripping people off too.

Not yet I had other running around to do but I will have a better look under the dash when I get home from work today

Do you know what the fuse traditionally looks like if it's not the ones under the dash

All the fuses under the dash and in the engine bay r fine, the remotes don't work, the imobaliser no longer works, the unit doesn't respond to turning it on or off with key, all other electronics work 100% it's the alarm system which 100% doesn't work, I was actually surprised and shocked that the imobaliser stopped working but didn't shut down the car a friend suggested that there could be a fuse inside the unit itself havnt checked yet because I don't gave a small and long enough screw driver to open it up have you heard of them having a fuse inside them ?

So changing the fuel filter I didn't realize the alarm wire was behind the fuel filter bracket, tightening the screws on the bracket, I cut the alarm wires in half, the alarm sounded then the wires touched the body, little spark. Since then I reconnected all the wires but she still don't work, the alarm cost a lot so I'm hoping someone has ideas about how to fix it, I don't want to buy a whole new system just yet

Its happening more and more in that area, a guy on the otherside of my block had his 32 four door stolen from behind locked gates that were higher than the car and kept it out of sight, n I've seen a few groups of punks walk past my car out the front n start pointing at it and acting extremely suss, havnt had a good night sleep sine I bought the car actually

Hey sorry about you car at least it was insured, my 32 was almost stolen 2 days after I bought it, the thieves got it onto to road but the steering locked and they snapped the wheel off trying to steer. At that point I was uninsured,

I had similar problems and it turned out to be a rooted fuel pump try that next

On the extras topic, does the car need to be tuned just to run a high flow on the same boost as stock?

I've seen some stock upgrade turbos on eBay from a shop in NSW, 2 year warranty, 100% positive feed back, they're $400 just a stock stronger highflow turbo. They seem alright and everyone has been giving them good feedback just saying I don't think a cheap turbo is IMPOSSIBLE is all

Hey I've had the same exact problem in my 32 I started out with a boost t n EVERYTHING went to shit, It was surging n bunny hopping under acceleration, it turned out that the fuel pump had shat itself, I replaced the coilpacks with splitfires n got nowhere. Also u should tune it before upping boost just my thoughts

Well I know u don't get far without injectors I got walbro 500hp pump and nisstune n only made 155kw tuner said everything was held up by the injectors maxing out

Is the resistor pack something that u need to buy separate or is it something actually on an rb26 that u can buy I ask this because I've found gtr injectors but don't know how to go about getting the resistor pack
