i'm not complaing, we could do will all the rain we could get... man, what is it with some people. This has NOTHING to do with being a hero, or being 'fully sick'. My goodness, i spend most of driving trying to beat the fuel economy figures i got the tank before (in economical terms). it was soooo slippery out there today, maybe i just collected some decent oily water from beach road or something, but this was just a WARNING to everyone else that the roads might be a bit more dangerous than they would expect after some rain. F*cking hell, excuse me for warning fellow SAU Vic peeps to take it a bit easier than they might think... fark....

it's got nothing to do with being a hero, or not knowing how to drive. all my point was that it was exceedingly more slippery than any "normal" wet road, and you could see the oil sheen on the road, and the extent to which it was visible, was NOT normal. all i was trying to do was give people a heads up in that the roads (well, beach rd at least) are A LOT more slippery than they are normal... and if that means someone misses an accident because they gave more room between them and the car infornt, well, the thread has done it's job

Was driving along beach rd to work, and you could see the road had the rainbow/oil slick look to it (first rain after a big dry). It was SOOO SLIPPERY!! On a gradual bend, that you could probably take at 100+ in the dry, at 60, a slight bit of extra throttle and the car was stepping out (not even on boost). Even straight line, normal acceleration from the lights was struggling sometimes. I've got plenty of tread left and $$ tyres, plus other suspension mods so i know it wasn't the car... it was just damn slippery so PLEASE take it easy out there. I saw one accident on the way in, but there are surely going to be more floating around on the news. -chinny-

noice sooo, Castrol Transmax Z vs. Redline ATF??

aaahh... just what i need. I have steering rack binding issues, highly annoying and first step was changing power steering fluid. have heard good things about Castrol Transmax Z don't mind spending good $$ on this, can you get better than Castrol for power steering fluid? a brake fluid thread would be handy as well, hint hint SK, you have PM

I guess this is a lubricant question of sorts... anyone have any recommendations for power steering fluid? I've got steering rack binding issues with my R34, and it's really not nice, almost like constant understeer. Before i go into serious hardware mods to fix the problem, i was going to start with a top-notch power steering fluid as it might just be a over-heating issue for the current fluid. Don't mind spending decent $$ for this. Harold from plub.com has pointed me in the direction of Redline ATF (so a transmission fluid) which sounds like might be what i'm after, but keen to know what the best power steering fluid you can get is? cheers, daniel

east bear won't fit wide fenders. they're designed for standard GTT guards and we're all remembering that R34 GTR's have come down a lot in price (well, exchange rate has played its role) and with the budgets you guys are talking about, ontop of what you'd get for your cars, you're not that far off a GTR

apparently there is some new loop hole that we don't know about yet. All will be revealed soon (keep checking the 35 GTR section) whoever has contact with this car, send it to Final Inspection damn it!!! It surely needs a detail, and Damian is the only one worthy enough to work on one. Then i can go drool all over it Troy, i think you must have got some paint in your eye or something, wash it out and then take a look at the GTR again

hmmmm.... very interesting....... my guess is that maybe as this will be a car sold WORLD WIDE, it helps it fall under some other area that DOESN'T require the testing/evidence extent of other JDM models? Being a global model might mean that it's deemed more compliant with our ADR's already???? just a stab

no, from Oct 24th 2007 + 18 months is the window that Nissan OZ has to show documentation that they plan to import these cars in FULL VOLUME. IF Nissan does this, (and if i get this next bit correct) no one will be able to import them... well, grey import them but 12month+ rego hist for personal imports will still be ok i'm sure there are about 50 people in this thread who can correct that if i'm wrong

99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% it's the coil packs. Upgrade to Splitfires (check the Trader sections here for people selling them for very good prices) VERY, VERY common problem on R34's for the coil-packs to go. Thankfully though, it's an easy fix

as per title, anyone in the Multimedia industry? just trying to guage what's going on.... what part of it is dead, what part is going strong, what sort of skills people are really hunting for, what's in short supply? stuff like that... i've got an RMIT multimedia degree, but has yet to be used, BNWT!! so yeah, if anyone knows how the industry is rolling at the moment, some insight would be great!!
