  1. Aww Brad is doing that one I will be in Adelaide at that time so missing out HAHA Nice!!!
  2. Aww that suxs!! I so wanna go but have other club presentation dinner on Yeah come do the driver training day (Luffy Day) with us on 20th at OP!
  3. I will be bringing my car aswell with Brad (risking) I would love to have you in my car Boz..need all the help I can get Will mention it to a few of the guys that did Dutton with me as well as we all need the practice lol!!
  4. Far out!! This is a full on thread and a little sad. I think the guys that do all the organising do an excellent job..but organising a cruise is better left for private viewing I think..you know who is attending and less attention. If cops are wanting to attend the cruises that cant really be a good thing.. I attend regular events with different club and just done Dutton Rally and they were cops in Goulburn (country town an hour outside sydney) were notified that they had 65 highly and midly modified sticker up race cars in there town and where looking for us to make trouble but we were all well behaved and nothing happened and they left us alone..but that still wont make the police any better in there way of thinking towards us next year! I think the police presence flares up when they think more of one thing is happening to regulary and obviously a concern in there eyes.. I know some great cops that have more suped up cars than mine but when there doing there job its a different senario. Its a real shame as SA always seems to cop the worst for police attention..but then again I dont do alot of street stuff anymore now I live in Sydney, My car only comes out to take it to the track I hope you guys get this sorted and works out the best for everyone.
  5. I did ok until the last day at Oran Park Had 2 big epic fails but had fun doing it!! I came 10th in Rookies and was a midfielder in my class..For my first Dutton I reckon thats not to bad but I had fun and thats all that matters.. Some of the motorkhana layouts : img_Y26073141.pdf Thanks Michele, No Ladies trophy but they do want more girls to enter..There were around 6 girls all up 2 drivers and 4 co-drivers I think , all the other girls where in alot quicker cars than mine Here are my the results : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a193298- It was a big nerve racking experience for me and so glad I tried it, now I have one under my belt I know what to expect at a Dutton and where I need to improve! I love the Fairbairn hillclimb and the car was getting sideways on that right hand corner before you start going up the hill (cold tyres). I will be coming down to do that hillclimb again in the new year so will have to keep an eye out in the ACT section of when they are on!
  6. Thanks BB The trick is not to go the wrong way or hit any cones..which sound easy I get into a bit of a tizz when in the car and have learnt that what looks smooth and slow on the track is in actual fact deceptionally fast! All the guys that where relaxed and doing smooth runs where doing awesome times..So I will have a crack at that next time. For my first go at a dutton I think I did alright..Most of us Rookies where getting so nervous and where walking the motorkhana events just so it was imprinted into our brain. I think the whole "you only get 2 goes at it" and the penaltys for hitting a cone (5 seconds) or going wrong direction (worst score plus 10seconds) was a bit of pressure. But I had fun and thats the main thing I am glad I tried it and now that I have one under my belt more confident of what to expect at my next one. Plus the people are really encouraging and helpful and friendly.. The hard motorkhana layouts. img_Y26073141.pdf Plus the tool awards where classic some of the vetrans of Duttons where doing the most silly things on and off the track..Like missing pit lane exit so handraking in the middle of the track and reversing up the straight of Oran Park to go the right way
  7. Thanks Kel I did ok..lots to improve on but couldnt of ask for a better motorsport weekend Here is some Video of the skidpan day I went to before the event http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=95E134893017261D My Incar Videos are taking ages to load up and arent as good as I had hoped Will post them up asap
  8. Most where piss poor on that effort all going to bed early to get up at 6am Alot of the guys take Dutton very serious I wanted to go hard sunday night but it turned out to be an early night with presentation and everyone gone by 7pm
  9. I think it should be cheaper, I mean the Classic Adelaide and Sunshine Rally are half the price of Dutton Rally..but I think they are the full on rallys with a navigator beside you..where dutton is more a glorified motorkhana and supersprint/lapdash...kind of event.. there was 36 events all up over the 3 days. most you got to do twice plus they want to get more people involved in Dutton but I think alot of people find it out of reach to enter cause of the price It is all go,go,go traveling from events and getting lost and getting up eraly for breakfast and driver breifing and you didnt get much merchandise this year as I have heard in the past you got more stuff..but all in all for my first time I f**king love it... I am off the pace tho as the serious cars Evo's,Lotus,Porches where doing 48's around OPSouth and 1.06's around wakefield the EVO's and lotus where the favorite cars at the event..I am no where near those times in my car and wont be unless I put a rollcage in and some money into the engine bay.. I was in Class C slightly modified and didnt do to badly was a midfielder on all 3 days.
  10. Thanks for coming down, was nice to see you again!! Awww entry isnt cheap its $2375 for Driver only
  11. Yeah go on LOL Was a great Epic Fail!! Should hear the thing get up and go.....its Pure Sex!
  12. What a freaking awesome weekend!!! I had a wild time and met some brillant people!! The guys in my group were the best and we had a ball! I was up against some tough competition, there were a lot of serious cars there and for my first time and everything in the event being un expected I reckon I did ok I came 10th in rookie class over all. I just wanted to have some fun on the last day and had some nice EPIC FAILS. The North circuit event I hit a cone on the first corner and proceed to take it with me up and over the bridge and was making an awful sound under my car and didn’t want it to melt to it so I pulled over and got out to get the cone from under my car..The official thought I was crazy and was just staring at me. The maps of the events in the book are not to scale and I had no idea what was going to be around that first corner and was coming in way to hot On my last lap of GP I was coming over the bridge and was in third flat and coming down into the S’s I was way to hot and didn’t brake enough and was fishtailing but managed to save it and continue but got the heart racing and looked good for the spectators LOL I had an awesome time on the skidpan at Oran Park and for the last event of the day I pulled the fuse out and ran in RWD...Was great burnout start and drift session was great fun!! I will hope to be doing a Victorian round in the near future, but need to get some serious driver training in before then.. I found it a bit hard to do the circuit events on cold tyres and 2 lap dash and try and get your best time.. So now that I know what Dutton Rally is like I will be better prepared. I think I will try a co-driver with me next time as well. I ran Falken 615 tyres and they held up the whole weekend and I liked them on the track was a good all round tyre for me. My car held up the entire weekend, didn’t miss a beat and loved every minute of it. The best part of the Rally for me was doing the 800m Sprint at Goulburn Airport..Was windy and cold and the stripe was rough but I got the GTR off the clock and got to watch Shaun in his Ferrari launch it off the line in front of me on his run..You don’t get to see that every day!! I post up some incar video tonite. Here are my results from the weekend and the fasted times for class and in the events. Dutton_Rally_Results_2008_NSW.pdf

  19. Cheers guys the nerves are starting to kick in I got some brand spanking new falkens going on today and should be good as have never driven on new semi slicks before I also have learnt how to 4WD drift my car in the wet at last skidpan was awesome fun! Yep Duncan I remember the back track of sutton and going to be an experience with no chincanes in place!! I should hopefully have a few goes at it so will take it easy first.. I start at Sutton rd on friday first! Not taking it seriously to many Evo's entered!! *shakes fist* but going to do my best and just have fun... 20. Hi Peeps, The Dutton Rally is on this weekend. I am an entrant for the first time and very excited! The car is all stickered up and ready to go.. http://www.duttonrally.com/ It's happening Friday/Saturday at Wakefield Park, Goulburn Airport, Fairbairn Park Hillclimb, Sutton Rd Driving Complex and then moving to Oran Park on Sunday. Spectating is free and there will be some awesome cars and drivers on display. I am car number 88! So do come down and say hi. Cheers Jess
  21. OMG nice work Michele!!!!! Well Done I will be doing that hillclimb this weekend at Dutton Rally I think they have Fairbairn Park listed. So nervous but I am going to go all out and see what happens..NO FEAR!! Will use the in car camera if aloud too!! so I can put my vid's up in here
  22. Love the sound of Big Red..such an awesome car
  23. Hiya Jeff!!! Good to see you join the forum ,was nice to meet you as well..Will you be coming down to Dutton Rally?? Sorry about my post Now I remember what you were saying..was so hot that day!! I can understand you are a bit worried but only been 4 cars that you have found and would of probably been "treated badly" as you said bit hard to believe that Nissan wouldnt give warranty unless they found signs of mistreatment..you would hope The GTR is an awesome car and I have an older model but love it so..You will be so happy with your purchase.. If there was a problem with the R35 would Nissan recall them??? You seen me launching my car at skidpan day at around 4/5grand and didnt fase it at all.. I also launched my car at hillclimbs and havent had a problem.. But I havent done a massive launch of like 7 grand yet in a motorsport event and dont think I will unless I finally take it to the drags just to find out what she can do down the quarter.. Listen to Giant, Snowman and Beer Baron these guys know there GTR's and can put your mind at ease!
  24. I heard about this tranmission problem the other week at a skidpan day. A guy has just ordered his R35 and will be here in April and was going on about the same problem...Was getting worried about the issue and wasnt going to even try and modify the thing..(so he was saying) I think it would be a one off case this tranmission problem and would love to know who has had the problem..the rumour is spreading like wild fire
  25. What price is astronomical?? Has the engine actually given up yet... Also consider putting a sump baffle in and the oil restictor in the head like the others said. Have they told you what brand bearings, pistons, rods they like to use in the quotes? I would source all your own parts like dangerman 4 said..and would want to see them going in the engine.
