  1. Well thanks to Paul, I may be delaying my trip by a month (thanks paul ) We will discuss things like that later on
  2. Injectors are sold I have an offer of $450 for the coils. Anyone want to better that ? The rest of the stuff is still for sale, but I do have plenty of offers
  3. The mines stroker is a 'tad' more expensive, i do believe (thats if they make it). I'm not keen on the 2.6 mines built motor, because i want a stroker?
  4. Hey mate I looked at the os option, and at 1.5 million yen for the bottom end, and the cylinder head i dont quite know if its worth it. At the end of the day, i really dont want to do any engine assembly work, and having the os head built here will be fairly costly. There is no oil pump or sump with that kit ? I would be lookinig at a good 25-30k for it, and i dont think i can justify that much in terms of cost JUST for an engine I dont want to think about the 34 gearbox. if it breaks it breaks. Will do my best not to. Im not planning on having more than 650-700hp, and i think thats achievable on this motor with decent response
  5. More money than sense ? I'm gonna let someone else gun you down rather than me. it would be too easy. Quickest gtr in oz is an rb27 jun/hks ??? (whatever mario ran) in his 33 gtr drag car Look at keith from the UK. He's running an os giken rb30 engine. Who is running an rb30/26 ? and running such quick times? Anyway, ive got more money than sense, so i will buy the tomei. I dont even see how you have justified anything
  6. Cheers guys Im also curious to see how it will perform. Pretty sure the block is a standard nissan block The 34 gearbox may have difficulty, but we'll worry about that later. Actually, while we are on this topic, does anyone know much about the tomei arms B9046 turbos? (apart from the fact that they are horribly expensive, and are rated at 700ps?) Also, anything about the power enterprise PE1520TR's also rated at 700ps ? I have a chart here from tomei in relation to their turbos Both these turbos are made by IHI. I would think that the nismo Z tune uses the tomei turbos, seeing as half the car is made by tomei
  7. Nick, Im after a street car that will have enough capacity to spool up twin 400hp turbos without any unreasonable lag? I also want something that will rev to 8-8500 rpm, and have good power down low as well as up top. I think a 2.8 with 8.8:1 static comp will do well both down low and up top. Id be running no more than 1.5-1.6 bar ? I want to keep the stock fuel system (that is, nismo pump, with stock lines). I assume this is possible?
  8. Bah no chance of it Adam. Car is in the workshop at the moment. I aint puttin a stock gtr on a dyno
  9. Something to that regard ? Anyone got anything to add
  10. You're gonna have to wait at least until August before everything is put together. I think my threads been dragged to the dog house. Thanks a lot BU5TER. Damn gts-t drivers
  11. I truly doubt it is 1150 hp I know for a fact that it was around the 500awkw mark on a CRD dyno. Plus croydons dyno would not read that high Last time turbos was out on the drag strip, he broke down after one run
  12. Well quite simply - Compared to my current car, the rb25 is quite 'punchy', but severely lacks top end. I've been in a 230rwkw 3040 equipped gts-t, and it just didnt have it. Hitting the rev limited 1000 rpm earlier kinda spoiled it. Severely lacked top end. But it didnt have larger cams, and .... eh i dunno. I like the linear power delivery of my current engine
  13. Hey mate, I dont think they would bolt up to the rb25det with standard manifolds and dumps. These are designed for gtr's, so they would be quite different, just the same way 2530's wouldnt bolt up to a rb25 Hey mate Car is at the workshop, and i dont have any pics of the undercarriage of the car. Yes you are correct. the pipes bolt from the two dumps and converge to the catalytic converter. I have stock front pipes so im looking at getting rid of these. they are a fair whack bigger than standard ones
  14. Hey mate Id take $175 but i wont have photos of it until it comes off the car ?
  15. Sorry to offend you Brett, Point is, Im after a stroker kit (or engine) for the 34. Im not after a hybrid rb30/26. I have nothing against the rb30's, but i dont believe they suit my purpose. While my reply seems "childish" you may have noted that i was replying to "ASIF SPED 20k", so I thought I would drop my level of simplicity (in terms of public speaking) down a notch or ten. You know well this is not an attack on you or any of the other rb30/26 hybrids (maybe just a shit stir). At the end of the day, my reason for doing something like this is to have a car that will last. I want an engine built by a professional engine builder, and can justify spending 20k on the motor. Out of curiosity, what do the rb30/26's rev to ?
  16. I will be in japan in may, importing a car. So while im there, i may as well fork out the extra 500USD for shipping in a container.
  17. You want me to run an rb30 out of a commodore as my bottom end ? I do want an engine that can rev. Rev limit on these engines is, SAFELY 8500rpm. I dont like the response of rb25's, and i assume rb30's will be no different. So what if i save 4.5k and am unhappy with my r34 gtr with a slow revving old arsed rb30 engine
  18. price of the motor, not exchange, is 2,020,000 yen Work that out at 85 yen to the dollar, and its 23.5k If you provide a replacement motor, the cost is 1.7M yen exchange
  19. Guys work out the cost before you talk Ive looked at the cost of all the parts that are in the engine For example Capacity : 2770cc Max Power : 580ps/7500rpm (DERIVE) Max Torque : 60kgm/6000rpm (DERIVE) Boost : 1.3kg/cm2 (DERIVE) (DERIVE/GENESIS) Piston : TOMEI 87.0mm Conrod : TOMEI H-shaped - 620000 Crankshaft : TOMEI 8 counter weights type 43428 Titanium Piston ring Set - Oil Jet Spacer : TOMEI 31416x2 Camshaft : TOMEI PONCAM 32456 Head Gasket : TOMEI 36152 Valve Spring : TOMEI A-type ~44352 Valve Guide : TOMEI PBB 20328 Main Bearing : NISMO 15708 Rod Bearing : TOMEI 11088 Rod Bolts -Head Bolt Washer : TOMEI -Oil Gallery Orifice : TOMEI 15477 Timing Belt : TOMEI -Throttle Gasket : TOMEI -Manifold Gasket : TOMEI 138600 Oil Pan : TOMEI 18295 Oil Pan Baffle Plate : TOMEI 1800 Oil Filter : NISSAN 127512 Oil Pump : TOMEI ~30000 Water Pimp : NISSAN N1 6468 Thermostat : NISMO 8000 Spark Plug : DENSO Iridium -Color : Powder Coat Painting -Plug Cover Ornament : TOMEI -Oil Filler Cap : TOMEI RB26 Piston type Total cost is around 1,232,496 yen from greenline (plus shipping). Now you need to build it all. Port the head to fit the bigger cams, add guides, springs, etc. How much labour are we looking at for the head Bottom end needs machining, and then assembly later on. How much would it cost for all this. Then thirdly, what sort of quality would you get ? Okay, given a 5k bill on labour, would raise the total cost of the complete engine to $19500. Considering this engine costs 2M yen = $23.5k, plus shipping (ignore duty). AND the fact that a 34 long motor will fetch around the 4-5k mark, means you get tomei build quality for much the same money This is how I have justified it to myself. Does anyone see any flaws in my theory ?
  20. Hey guys, thanks for that. I've found a bit more info out from one of the aussie distributors. Engine cost is 2,020,000 for the complete engine. Exchange price is about 1.7M, but obviously im not shipping an engine back there. It does come with the Tomei sump and oil pump (which are worth a good 300,000 yen (exchange for the sump). You can order the HG thickness, and the camshaft sizes. Rev limit is approx 8.5k, (unless you get a damper i think) Not sure if it is a 32, 33 or 34 motor, because normally when you exchagne, they rebuild your motor. Also, the guy didnt answer me as to whether it runs a standard N1 block or a standard nissan block. knore - That book would be excellent, provided it details the genesis limited 2.8 litre tomei engine. Apparently there have only been about 15-20 manufactured. There are only 3 of these motors (apparently) in australia. Pricing a good engine builder to build a full 2.8 with completely new internals, ported head, etc etc, and you're looking at a good 25-30k Which is not any more than this custom motor. I assume tomei would know how to build a decent motor ?
  21. Hey mate Thanks for that, but that doesnt answer any of my questions. None of those refer to the rb28 limited edition genesis
  22. Does anyone know much about this engine, or has used it. Im actually quite interested, but seem to be VERY unable to find any specs on it. For anyone that knows a bit more, Id like to ask the following questions. #1 It comes with a tomei oil pump - is this the standard spec model which is worth $1500 #2 Whats the recommended rev limit on this engine #3 Can you order different camshafts with the engine, rather than the standard poncams? #4 Does it come with a tomei larger sump or not ? #5 Whats the static comp on the engine? #6 What recommended maximum boost can be run on the motor? #7 Does it have a standard block or an N1 #8 Is the motor custom made for either 32, 33 or 34 gtr, or are they all the same. Will all these parts bolt onto the engine off a r34 gtr ? Thanks to anyone who can help linky here
  23. I have added SARD 700cc injectors to the original post. Please do not hesitate to contact me with an offer. All stuff must go Cheers
  24. Sorry Mark, Just saying that the power FC wont fit an R34 (which is what i will be getting ) and is the reason for the sale of all these parts. Otherwise I would be keeping everything Quick info page for the fujitsubo exhaust http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/search/prod-v.p...cnamID=00000514 Interesting things to note, are that it weighs 8 kilos LESS than the stockie, puts out 94dB @ 5100 rpm, JUST LIKE THE STOCKIE. There are also some power figures, and pretty pictures
  25. PFC wont fit a 34 Car is getting stripped on Tuesday, so parts will be available from then on
