  1. Yes come down and have a look, the event is held at Belmont Park Racecourse on the big car park next to the farmer Freeway. For spectators: The AM session starts at 9:00 and goes to about 12:30 and the PM session starts at about 13:00 and runs to about 16:30.
  2. I'm sorry for the late notice guys, but ... . This Sunday we are holding Round 3 of the MaxAuto Action S1 - 2007. We have only 5 spots to go and mainly for the PM session. If anyone is interested, please email for an entry form and course maps to [email protected] . Skyline Action is taking place during both session, so even if you just wanted to come down for a look, you are more than welcome! Spectators are free! Cheers, Norbert 0418 922 733
  3. Hi Guys, seing the March 17th MaxTrackAttack event is going to be held on a Saturday, we are a little light on with bookings, but still the event is going to go ahead. There will be just one combined session though, with competitors needing to arrive no later then 10:30. We will finish at about 14:45 - 15:00 with extra runs to be had. Again we will run the event just with a single long course, which we run all session and that’s the reason why this event is especially suitable for new competitors and guys who want to fine tune their latest modifications, simply because it gives you the chance to try different lines, suspension settings and tyre pressures. If you happen to go too hard, nothing is lost, because only your three fastest times count towards the results! The newly designed and further opened course as well as the entry form are available by sending an email to [email protected] As a special attraction we will also have the UWA Motorsport team competing in their special Formula SAE car, which will be very exciting to watch, while they prepare for later competition on an international level. Their car with just a 599ccm engine should be blindingly fast, and even though we will time their runs, as usual on those rare occasions, they will run outside our competition. There will be two drivers from the UWA Motorsport Team, so we will have ample opportunity to watch them! Please get your MaxTrackAttack Entry Form, fill it in and get it back to us ASAP.
  4. There is a MaxTrackAttack event planned to be held on Saturday, March 17th. Again we will run the event just with a single long course, which we run all session and that’s the reason why this event is most suitable for new competitors. Yes, just one course to learn and so you can concentrate on your lines etc, while at the same time observing experienced guys on how they fine tune their skills. If you aren’t interested in the results, the timing during the event will give you an indication on how your driving is improving. In between times you have the chance to talk to the seasoned competitors on how you can improve and what’s important about the course, like your driving lines, breaking points, corner entry, apex and exit points. There are valuable lessons to be learned from these guys so that you can move on from there. The event is also very interesting to the experienced driver, simply because it gives the chance to try different lines, suspension settings and tyre pressures. If you happen to go too hard, nothing is lost, because only your three fastest times count towards the results! The newly designed and further opened course as well as the entry form are available by sending an email to [email protected] Please get your MaxTrackAttack Entry Form, fill it in and get it back to us ASAP.
  5. Well then you guys had better mark Saturday, March 17th for the next MaxTrackAttack event or alternatively Sunday, 25th for the next MaxAuto Action Event. As per normal Entry Forms, supp regs and course maps are available by email from [email protected] or by signing up for our email list by sending a blank email to [email protected] As as a quick note, I will be away from tomorrow until March 7th and might only be able to deal with any replys after that. Looking at what these Targa Tasmania courses are all about
  6. in answer to the points above please go to http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...id=2912117& , but more importantly please let's just stop it right here, shall we?
  7. Slowboy, I'm not sure if this is you scene? 30 psi on a 10g turbo sounds mighty impressive, but more so for the drag strip, right? But we don’t run drag events. … and yes you are right we don’t pay appearance money either. Probably we should charge higher entry fees, just to be able to pay and with that to attract top acts like yourself. Thanks for the free offer though! Seeing that on one hand Julian isn’t entered for this event, so forget your rant , and on the other hand you probably would have trouble to get your big turbo on song during our events, it would be just wasting your time. If you do get your tyres lit up and big smoke is happening, here is a word of warning. Because you would make an appearance on the security surveillance cameras, as removing tyre marks from bitumen is very costly, you wouldn’t just pay for your burned tyres . You would be better of getting a second 10g turbo Nah, as they say Slowboy, horses for courses. Your 8 sec 1/4 mile car is just not suited for autokhana events, just the same as my Lotus Elise isn’t suited for the drags – it is simply a waist of perfectly good time! I hope we can agree on that!
  8. Thanks for your interest! The AM session starts at 9:00am and runs to about 12:30. The PM session starts at 13:00 and runs to about 16:30
  9. Howdy All, Only two days to go and this Sunday’s Round 2 of MaxAuto Action S1 -2007 at Belmont Park Racecourse is upon us. We have only 6 competition spots to go before being fully booked. So if you would like to be part of it, please be sure to book NOW! Enrty forms, course maps etc are available by email from [email protected] Courses will be very similar to last month, when we so successfully reduced the number of WWs to a minimum! The biggest change is opening up of the bridge/channel to a straight, which will make that section also somewhat faster again, but at the same time will dramatically reduced the number of cones hit Skyline Action, with only one Skyline booked for the PM session, most of the Skylines Action will be happening during the morning session 8) The weather, being mostly sunny and 28°C on Sunday, is going to be just right! So really just comfortable and more like what we are used to get for MaxAuto Action! Food and Drinks are going to be supplied by the Rotary Club, so please support them as it is all going to help some worth while community projects! We hope to see you all on Sunday for another day of MaxAction, MaxExcitement and MaxFun! Cheers, Norbert 0418 922 733
  10. Sorry Mate, obviously you have got to pick a bone with Julian , but I have no idea what it is and it probably isn't any of my business either! However to answer your question, he just paid the normal entry fee. I wrote this because I know Julian as one of the more exciting drivers pushing for the limits of his cars, what ever he might drive He currently is building a F40 and having nothing else do drive he entered his dayly driver I wouldn't let Julian drive my car, but that doesn't take away from his driving skills, that's just my personal choice! Anyway, I hope we might see you and your car one day showing us how it's done
  11. Howdy All, This coming Sunday, we will be holding Round 2 of MaxAuto Action S1 -2007 at Belmont Park Racecourse. As per normal, there will be an AM and a PM session. At this stage we still have two spots for the AM session and some 9 spots for the PM session available. So if you are planning on being part of the action, then please act now! Btw, this time around most if not all of the Mitsubishi EVO action will be happening during the morning session. New drivers are more than welcome to enter a single event, but at this early stage it isn’t too late to enter the rest of the series! The remaining event dates are as per entry form, which along with further info is available by emailing [email protected] The courses are going to be very similar to last month, when we so successfully reduced the number of WWs to a minimum! Probably the biggest change will be the opening up of the bridge/channel to a straight again. We successfully trailed this last Sunday during the MaxTrackAttack event and with that dramatically reduced the number of hit cones. The maps again are going to be available before the event! The weather on Sunday isn’t going to be as hot as last time! Our weather people predict a partly cloudy day with a maximum of 28°C, so really just comfortable and more like what we are used to for MaxAuto Action! Food and Drinks are going to be supplied by the Rotary Club, so please support them as it is all going to help some worth while community projects! We hope to see you all on Sunday for another day of MaxAction, MaxExcitement and MaxFun! Cheers, Norbert 0418 922 733
  12. Harold with the white Skylne GTST will be there again, trying to further improve with all his new gear. There will be a very quick yellow S15 mixing it with three of the Lotus Elise, A 5.8 litre Cobra, two EVOs, a new rally reg WRX STi plus another WRX, an XR6 turbo, a V8 Beamer and some Celicas. The show stopper will be a V8 Commodore Wagon. Trust me the guy is an ace driver. He is not to be missed. Was there in a V6 wagon before and we were just standing there mouth wide open how he was handling the thing around the course. Anyway if that doesn't twist your arm maybe 150 Porsches turning up around 13:30 will, so make sure you have the camera there! Please remember PM session only!
  13. We can help you with a club membership and CAMS licence on the day no problem. For MaxAction events at this stage you don't need a helmet or a fire extinguisher, so just take it out. Tyres and rims is something else, but usually I suggest to start with what you've got, get to know your car as is. That way you learn how it handles now and will appreciate future improvement like race tyres even more. One of our regular skyline competitors just got himself into a diff and race tyres, knowing and having been to our events throughout the last MaxAuto Action Series it made a hugh difference in his results! ...and I would say there is more to come as he gets used to the new set-up. As for mounting the camera, make sure you get a really good set-up, because different scrutineers will have different opinions about it. So don't be too disapointed if one is okay with your set-up and the next is not, they have the final say! Usually they are looking for mounting cameras on rollcages, which most cars haven't got. Just my 2 cents
  14. Now it is just one week to go! Sadly we had to cancel the AM session, so now only some spots remain available for the PM session! Yes for a change we are low on entries. Why, I have no idea! Maybe it is because there are some 150 Porsches turning up for a quick visit, while 6 of them do a run of our course. Personally, I thought that was a draw card ? Anyway, the competitors still coming, are going to have a ball with all the extra runs they are going to get So if you still would like to join this very busy group of PM competitors get your entry forms in now! Entry Forms, course map, supp regs and further information are available by email from [email protected]. Personally, I believe MaxTrackAttack events are especially suitable for new competitors simply because we will present only one course, which competitors will run again and again. That way they can try different lines, suspension settings, tyre pressures etc. To evaluate their progress, timing will be in place. At the same time there will be very experienced competitors, who in most cases, are more than willing to share their knowledge and give advice on the above. Then new comers can watch the experienced guys demonstrating exactly what they just talked about, while at the same time honing their own skills even further, by also trying different approaches. Anyway enough said, the event is on, we are looking for some more entries. We hope to see some of you there, but don't forget the camera, as it is going to be an Australian if not a world record to have that many Porsches all in the one place! Come on guys, get of the fence and into action, you know you want to! Cheers, Norbert 0418 922 733 or 9307 7729
  15. Thanks for that! I hope some people make use of it, get of the fence and into the action
  16. Man go for it! I'm not that crash hot with the workings of forums, so I can do with all the help I can get. My excuse, I know how to run motor sport events ;-)
  17. Howdy, does your email starts with gtstvspec@? Then you just joined the mailing list, but it would be good for me to know if you are the one asking for the above info. As there are a number of docs I would send I would want to bother just anyone with that. So please let me know!
  18. Thanks Guys! That all reads pretty positive and from other feedback we received from a large number of competitors it seems we are on a winner. So if anyone would be interested in joining into the action, either during the next available event MaxTrackAttack on February 11th or the next Round of MaxAuto Action on February 18th, please send me an email to [email protected]. All is available from just simple info to entry forms, course maps, supp regs as well as past results. To join our mailing list please send an email to: [email protected] If anyone is interested in some pictures from the event, they are available from here and also from here Cheers, Norbert 0418 922 733
  19. Howdy All, I’m organising the MaxAuto Action and MaxTrackAttack Autokhana driving events on the big carpark at Belmont Park Racecourse about once or twice a month. Because Tarmac Events have become more popular, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you guys to compete in these events. Our MaxAuto Action events are running now in the 5th year at Belmont and are growing in popularity from year to year. I thought I let you know that we are about to start a new MaxAuto Action Series on January 28th. Sorry about the late notice and yes we only have about 10 spots left in Round 1. These are monthly events with 5 qualifying rounds followed by a Finals Event in June. Out of the 5 qualifying events competitors need to have competed in at least 2 do go through to the Finals. During the event, we present 3 courses each one an extension of the previous course so that we can ease competitors into it. Each one of the three courses is run twice by every competitor and time allowing we have a third run on the longest course. There are Outright, Class as well as Handicap Results for each round. Entry fee for these events is $73 per round per competitor. We are running two sessions per event day, the AM session from 8:00 to 12:30 and the PM from 13:00 to 16:30 and because you are away from home only for half a day it doesn’t use up too many brownie points either ;-) With only about 25 competitors per session we keep waiting time in between competitive runs to a minimum. The first MaxTrackAttack event will be held on February 11th and differs from the above as we present competitors with only one extended course, which we run all session. This allows competitors to try different lines, suspension settings, different tyre pressures and what ever else they can change. Only their 3 fastest runs will count towards the final results. Entry fee for these events is $80 with an Early Booking Discount of $10 available for bookings received before January 27th. If you would like more info on these events, Supp Regs, Course Designs or an entry form please send an email to [email protected] . Thanks for your time, Norbert 0418 922 733
  20. Howdy All, I know there was some interest here before in the MaxAuto Action events at Belmont Park Racecourse. This is just to let you know that the event series is kicking off with a double header on Saturday January 28th PM session (from 13:00) for the Porsche Car Club only and then 2 full sessions (AM 9:00 – 12:30 & PM 13:00 – 16:30) on Sunday, January 29th. If you are interested in competing you would need to be quick to enter, as the event is already over 80% booked, with the following events also booked to about 70% level. However everyone is more than welcome to attend the events as spectators, which is still free of any charge. This season there will also be some food and soft drinks available, both supplied by members of the Lions Club for just a small charge. For further info on the event: http://www.driveline.net.au/eventDetails.php?event_id=330 And here are some pictures from previous events: http://www.bwmedia.com.au/cgi-bin/pro/emAl...0F1%20Autokhana http://www.bwmedia.com.au/cgi-bin/pro/emAl...0F1%20Autokhana Entry Fee for the event if booked before January 7th is just $58 per event. If you are interested and you would like to receive an entry form or the 2006 Calendar of Events please sent me an email to [email protected] As you can see from the above, we have also started taking bookings for car club or group exclusive sessions, where a minimum number of 25 competitors is required. Please call me on 0418 922 733 if you’re interested. Cheers, Norbert
  21. Type: Autokhana Date: Sunday 16th October 2005 Title: MaxAuto Action - Round 3 Location: Belmont Park Racecourse Host: CMCSR & Maximum Action Motorsport Events Managment Time: AM Session 8:00 - 12:30 & PM Session 13:00 - 16:30 Pics from Round 2: http://www.bwmedia.com.au/cgi-bin/pro/emAl...0F1%20Autokhana Description: It is not too late to join the series and still qualify to win the series outright, on handicap &/or your class! MaxAuto Action events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics low in risk, but high in excitement. The events are designed to test acceleration, braking and general manoeuvrability of the vehicle together with skill and judgement of the driver. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location on a bitumen surface. Cars start individually and are timed from start to finish, incurring penalties for any indiscretions. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered on civil roads, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. It is like being in a movie scene, only you are holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn! The most important aspect of MaxAuto Action is to have fun and learn a thing or two about car control. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. If you are interested or have some questions feel free to ring us on 9307 5228 or 0418 922 733 or simply send an email to: [email protected] For further details you may also join the MaxAction Group by sending an email to: [email protected] For further information please visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MaxActionGroup
  22. Hi Nizmo, Usually we do those while you wait. I'd suggest though. when you come down, please bring all the parts you may have of the two remotes and I will see if there is anything we could recover/repair for you. Quite often the old electronic can be repaired. Combine that with a new and you finish up with a pretty good looking and working remote for less than a new unit.
  23. Howdy, it is all good news for your remote, it is happening again, working away. Man you are lucky, but call me brilliant if you must ;-) Give me a call on 9242 4000 for a time to pick it up and test it against the car. Cheers, Norbert PS: anyone else out there with remote control problems?
  24. We are the agents for the brant system here in Perth and even though brant has gone into receivership, things are looking up now. Yes we lost a lot of $$$ when they went bang, as we did a lot of installs for them in WRX's etc. Anyway, we can now help again with the brant keypad system and/or alarm systems. We also have other keypad immobiliser and alarm systems from different manufacturers, which you may want to consider. Just today I received a new system also with keypad, which can be added to any alarm system. One of the options on that is a interface, which will call/SMS your mobile. Then you can send an SMS back to the system in the car and cause it to do certain functions (up to 3 different functions possible). This system was designed mainly to go with the latest factory alarm systems in Holden and Ford, but can be adapted to go with any alarm and possibly even without an alarm, just in case you want to send a SMS to your boat to switch on the fridge, so that the beers are cold when you get there ;-) If there is any interest let me know and we can talk. Norbert 9242 4000
