i had massive issues with mine... and i needed a new cv joint.. but apparently... (i got told) that there is i think it was 3 bearings.. like a centre and a front and a back...
it was weird...
But i dont know too much about tailshafts.... plus i think that mechanic was dodgy....

you know guys, i really dont care what you think... im doing this because i want too, maybe not just for burnouts.... but its a starting point.. and cant drive?
ive been doing hill climbs and driving on test days at wakefield park since i was 17... never once had a accident.. yeah ive lost it a few times.. but everyone does occasionally.
Plus as for my looks... ive been trying to upload pictures for ages, but apparently all are too big in size.

cleveland = bang with constant big revs, manual gearbox = the ghey for burnout comps unless you can start in 3rd or 4th gear, and you wont do that without a 6/71 sitting in the valley, and due to the clevelands stupid long crank snout running a blower at big revs means chewed out #1 mains bearings, which = bang
As much as I dont want to say this but a stock LS1 with a cam and a tune will out grunt most clevelands and live to tell the tale.
Well that was the other option a good friend of mine told me about, he suggested a LS1 with a turbo. ??
Im not to flash with turbo's.... never really worked with them before

Hell I spent 10mins remembering prices to save the girl over 20k but no!
clearly I dont know enough to type an engine combo off the top of my head with prices
I appreciate you trying to help - i do apologise for appearing rude.
As i was saying i just need to research. i am more than happy to apologise if i have been proved wrong.
But the base is - this seems the most appealing to me. a 351 clev with a 1350 tailshaft and a top loader gear box.

why do women come on here, ask for suggestions, ignore all suggestions because they want to do it their way, decide on somewhat silly ideas then proceed to quote ridiculous prices as if we will all be impressed?
this thread reminds me of a certain other thread about supercharging a 34.
i'm willing to bet that 1 of the following 3 things happen.....
1: we never hear anything further about this once this thread dies but in 6 months time the OP is back with some other silly idea
2: the engine gets built, goes in and goes 'pop'
3: the engine goes in and gets crashed in a very short amount of time.
and dare i say it, if blowing 40k on an engine isn't an issue for someone who is only 21, i'm guessing 1 of the following 3 is true as well....
1: rich daddy who is paying for it (especially if he's spent $36k on a motor himself)
2: she is a drug dealer
3: she is a stripper/prostitute, but then a r31 wouldn't really be the car of choice as 1 night's work would pay for a 31....
4 - none of the above?
And further more, my father has passed away. so no sorry to dissapoint, he isnt paying for anything!!
Oh - and why is men always put down a suggestion that a woman may make? im dead set out to prove that guys aren't the only sex that can actually drive well.
ive been told that the price of it will be around that. I could be wrong, i havent called around and got all of the quotes yet. Im still researching - as i said before. And i also thought a forum was for people putting forth there ideas NOT to be hounded and then to be accused of being a drug dealer or a prostitute?

oh well... all entitled to our opinions right?
This is the way im going to do it, i will always welcome suggestions and obviously places that might be able to do things cheaper. But with a certain few things i will go to those i trust.
However if anyone knows anyone who is in sydney or south coast who could direct me to someone to help me out, would be much appreciated

The diff im getting is a 3.25 to 1 LSD custom built to fit my skyline and installed for $4000 so i believe your $1500 is a bit short there too buddy.
