Pretty much summing up what I thought the costs would be like! Looking pretty positive so far And hoping can get one with decent amount of rego so I can avoid paying that even / getting absorbed in bike budget. With insurance, is there a difference between third party, and theft? Noticed insuremyride separates the two...? Did you buy your gear online? Ninja 250 tempting. OR do I go oldschool boyracer (boyrider) and gamble with a CBR250RR (not thrashed at all )xD

/bikelinesaustralia brahs, want to post up / pm me rough costs for picking up and starting down the road of motorbikes? E.g. rego, insurance, gear, maintenance? Getting keen again. Have researched a bit but always good to here more accounts & opinions. Thinking of standard learner bikes like ninja 250, VTR250, or gs500f... not the fastest I think, but still cool and good resale? I should probably save my money... But live it up while I'm young and get one anyway? XD

haha, good recovery from that one yeah my dad has scars on his knees to this day, from his mad cornering back in the day LOL. a few years back when on holiday there, he drove my uncles bike up the road for kicks. so maybe if i buy bike it will reignite dat passion or he'll just kill me. whatevs. xD.

well *if* i were to get a bike soon, it'd only be for a bit less than a year tbh, because then it'd be evo time! riding in peak is one of the advantages of bikes though, surely. but then again, i've seen what some drivers do in peak... haha same with my dad, but his excuse a bit more valid in that "that's all they could afford" back then in SL... haha. but strong consideration to just do it and rock up and be like "k... what of it"
