  1. Hi i am after a metal piping kit from the standard twin turbo pipe to the cooler and then back to the intake manifold.

I have seen the greddy & HKS kits and i think that they are 3 inch cast alloy.

please call 0404 077 220 or email; fsmout @ thincprojects.com (take out the spaces)

    cheers,

  2. What they said above^^^, do it all right when the engine is out...definitely need a full gasket set for engine, turbo's & a new head gasket is a must. Multi layered metal. Dont know if you are considering rods? and also balancing costs for all the moving parts.

Full head reco, seats etc, & new valves and springs if there is any damage?

might want to consider a sump enlargement and also baffle kit. Also maybe clutch rebuild while the engine is out.

might be a good idea to price a lot of the little stuff that adds up like timing belt, plugs, oil, polishing/painting tapet covers & oil catch can.

  3. Emails Sent & PM's answered!!

Also had just had the car serviced and re-tuned by Charlie's MS, they have done a GREAT job!!

Car is driving beautifully!! They tuned it for torque, and it spun up 260kw@wheels, in 4th gear not in shootout mode and i am told their dyno reads low. I will be going back to mercury MS and getting a comparative dyno done for the new tune.

    Cheers,

    Francisco

  4. Yeah s14 i would say 170rwkw to 180rwkw and a 1/4 mile in the mid to high 13's...just my 2 cents

My mate has these mods and dynoed 160rwkw but that dyno reads 10% low, so it will also depend on the dyno you get the reading from, gear, tyre psi and dyno mode etc.

  5. Thanks Roy & gun32!

Im not sure about the power, its got 260kw@ all 4's and that is at knock level maxing out at 18. I am told it is still a very quiet engine (as far as knock) which would suggest that the clearances are still quite tight after the rebuild.

I am happy with the power and the safe tune. Either way PHATGTR you can bolt up a BIG turbo to the engine and the bottom end would take it!

I dont have the money, but would love to bolt up a set of 260deg cams and a HKS T04R or TO4Z!!

    Cheers,

    Francisco

  6. I have spent beyond my means to tell the truth. I didnt realise the cost involved with rebuilds and the ongoing maitenance costs. I had to borow money to buy the car, then again for the rebuild.

Now i want to buy something a little cheaper, for around 15-20 and pay off my debts.

I am also trying to save a deposit for an apartment and its just not happning!

The car is awesome and i the reasons above only just (i change my mind all the time) out-weigh keeping it :-(

Oh yeah i am getting it re-tuned/dynoed today, at Charlie's Motors. found out that it was set to standard with the adjustable cam gears and the timing. Im hoping it will be a little more responsive?? Im getting a really safe tune with the AF ration's in the high 11's at max boost & RPM. So i will let you know how it goes!!

  7. Yeah i am having the same problem. Had the car on the dyno and my tuner said that the knock sensor isnt giving a reading (i also have a PFC and want the numerical reading for further tuning).

I will try and give it a clean out, i thought i needed new ones!

I priced new items from nissan and they quoted $300 each!! I found a wrecker with a half cut who will sell them for $95 each which isnt to bad.

Does anyone know if these sensors usually fail??

  8. Hi everyone,

Wanted to get my 32 GTR re-tuned for more boost & timing, but i dont want to drive all the way down the coast to PITS again. What are peoples experiences with GTR's and tuning in Brisbane??

I have heard that Archie at Mazfix does a good job....has anyone used Brisbane Tuning & turbo at Woolloongabba??

    Also Mercury, Charlies Motors, APC??

    Cheers

  9. i took 1 million photos of them when my engine was out and couldnt match the numbers & position of the marks on the front covers with anything, until i saw Spool Imports photos!!

Then Checked the photes with other suppliers pics & It all matches up, i couldnt figure out how group A's would contiunue to spin for 20secs after i switch the engine off!! I knew they were ball bearing, but thats it

  10. Hi everyone,

After a long and extensive search i have finally found out that i have a twin Garrett GT2560R setup on my GTR!!

I thought they were N1's and then Group A's, but now i can definitely confirm that they are GT2560's!

Wanted to find out who is running this setup and what sort of power people have been making??

Are they the same as the larger R34 N1's??

    Any info would be great!!

    Cheers,

    Francisco

  12. Hi,

Im wanting to extract more power out of my GTR 32 by winding the boost up to 1.4bar.

I have heard a lot of different stories about what types of fuel to use at this boost level as pulp cant handle it?? I am currently running 1.2bar on pulp but i have heard stories of tuners not running above 1.1bar on pulp?

I have had a lot of people tell me to tune it with a touline mix of 5-10% per tank??

Also if i get it tuned at this level with touline, can i still run my low boost setting on pulp??

Is anyone running high bost on pulp?? or a mix of some kind?

    cheers,

    Francisco
