  1. Yeh just tell em you got swine flu Great stuff mate, hope to see you there!
  2. OK... 13 PM's sent, so thats a total of 16 forum members that know about it. And anyone else that people know, spread the word to your non-forum V35 brothers and sisters. Lets hope people are prepared to cancel plans/find babysitters/sell their bodys for fuel so they can come along! V35_Paul, you're nuts mate, driving 4 hours each way from Geraldton for a cruise! Are you driving back Sat arvo when we finish, that would be like 12 hours of the day spent in your car!!
  3. hey Kurt, good to see we have another joining the ranks... with the best colour too ill add you to the list. expect a PM over the weekend with the details of the cruise.
  4. It seems that V35_Paul, xtc and myself are the most vocal but others that have expressed interest (across 2 diff threads) are: Oaksey Adorau Will Power Dwini Bebe Pulp ACTIV32 Skygo2xs Str8g DE-NO dannyw Ashman149 (didnt actually post but is a 35 is perth!) Between the three of us shall we decide on a time and place, get all proactive and send all these people a PM. It seems 9th or 23rd are both ok (Pulp said he can’t make 16th). Do you think we would be able to get more people with the extra lead time of the 23rd?
  5. No 7 is a goodie. Bit of class with the flowing writing at the bottom. Do feel sorry for the non 350 owners though and agree they need to be encompassed in the design, whoever suggested 'V Series' I think this is a good alternative.
  6. by the way, you can select more than one, its basically any date you are available if it were to be then. for example, i selected them all
  7. What about one of those fancy vote things? Get people to vote for the time they prefer out of 3 different ones or something and whatever comes up with the most we go with. As has been said, we all just want to accommodate as many people as possible. I might try one, this could get messy!!
  8. Sounds interesting (pun intended), does that mean that we need the equilivant of a set top box in our car to get digital radio? Or is there going to be a spike in new deck sales that are compatible with it?
  9. Slow down people... we still dont have a date. Would hate to make everyone wash their car more than they need to Maybe we should push it back a week, and since people seem to have stuff on Sundays, looks like a Sat is best. So I'm going to throw it out there... Sat 9th May, starting 1pm somewhere close to the city for a meet and greet, ready to head off on an xtc created map finishing late arvo, 5ish.
  10. Mate... I think you should just take the lead. What we need here is a dictator. Only suggestion is to try to keep it simple so it runs smoothly for a first go, so if its only a few hours of a morning or arvo then people will be more likely to be able to make it. Oh, and lets hit the hills, where the good drivng roads reside. One last thing, does anyone here own the silver coupe that parks near the BMW dealer in Burswood everyday. Chrome 350Z wheels, Brembos and a Gialla style (spelling???) front grill?
  11. Sorry all, turns out I can't make Sat 2nd May. Its western derby day and Eagles home game so as an Eagles member I will not be missing it. Sunday?
  12. My build date is Nov 04 and is a series 2. It didn't cost me anything more for the series 2 I don't think, it was the manual that made it more expensive! Aside from visual things and raw numbers there is also the little things that are hard to quantify like maybe a thicker hose here and a slight change there that you don't see that the engineers will have fixed over time. Much like fixing the CD changer mechanism in the later ones which might save an expensive stereo fix sometime down the track. To me personally, I am really glad I ended up with the series 2 (especially when I need to tear down the dash!!) but am certain that if I got exactly the spec I have in series 1 there is no way I would be disappointed (as long as I still had my factory 19"s).
  13. BBQ means effort to pack an esky and does tend to tie you to one spot for a fair while but whatever, I ain't fussy.... gimme a date and I'll come along.
  14. Right, so now all that needs to happen is to take the plunge and buy one as the test dummy and report to everyone on it's success or failure. US$300 is unfortunately a bit too much of an ask otherwise I would consider it. Might need to look for another option!
  15. Doing my usual browsing on ebay and stumbled upon the following which claims to be a Bluetooth kit to suit the G35 Bose stereo. Seems very pricey for what it is but it got me thinking if such a kit would fit on our V35's or if there was something available locally that integrates with the factory stereo in some shape or form? Ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-2005-2...5fAudioQ5fVideo Company website link: http://www.vizualogic.com/cig_blue.html Also looking at buying a few little things from different sellers in the US delivered to my cousin in NY who will then be sending over to me as a single delivery, so if anyone is after anything smallish let me know and I may be able to help on postage.
  16. Hey Leslie, welcome to the crew! I'm only new also. Throw some pics up for us all to have a squizzy (of the car that is ). Met STR8 G on Friday afternoon. Riding home for work on my pushy saw a nice 35 at Ascot BP and decided to say hi. Think he might have been a little taken aback with some crazy on a pushy starting a convo! Anyway, good to meet you STR8G. Sure I could just ride around all the BP's in Perth trying to find V35 drivers, but it would be much easier if we just got this cruise off the ground!
  17. I can testify that they look horrible on a white car. My car is newer than some around and has done very few kays and they are already very dirty around the edges. I would love to take them off but am too scared that it will be a huge mission to get the glue off and that there will still be an outline of where it used to be. Surely if they feel that a sticker is needed there then the front bar is an area of concern! May as well have stickers over the entire thing.. except maybe the boot
  18. Yeh fair point, obviously the more the better, so maybe someone should flick a PM to those guys we know are on SAU with a 35 but maybe dont hit the forums as often as they used to. With that said though, I'd still be happy to roll with 6 cars if it came to it, its ok to start small! Also, on the vq cruise, whilst it would definately get good numbers I must say I am really keen to also do a just 35's as per this thread, I guess its something about being an import... theres something about being prepared to forego warranty, sometimes DIY import, tough out insurance dramas and the like that I personally am keen to chat over with others. Not to mention getting that damn Jap stereo the way we want it!
  19. Ok, well the best bet i think will be to pick a date with a bit of lead time and go with it. A day cruise i think would be best for those who might potentially come up from bunbury way (if there is anything other than utes down there...jj) or like our thread starter from Gero. Good dedication! So maybe a Saturday or Sunday from 11ish, start in the city, head out through the hills for a lunch spot Mundaring Weir way and back into the city. Realistically with how hard to plan peoples availability these things tend to be, it will need to be after easter, so 18-19 April weekend would be earliest I would think.
  20. here's me. really need to take some decent photos. be keen to go on a cruise also, would be good to put some faces to names.
  21. Thanks for doing the review, I intend to grab one fo these soon so it is of value to see different people's installs, and also any possible info on how it functions. One quick query i have is what is the difference between the one V35_Matt got, the one Chris sells, and the PA11-NIS? Or are they all exactly the same unit?
  22. actually, looks like it might be half a chance... http://au.playstation.com/support/psp/faqs..._videoout.jhtml and for those without a screen... psp dimensions from the website (latest one, apparently called 'PSP Slim') are 169.4 x 18.6 x 71.4 mm dimensions for the empty box in my series 2 are roughly 175mm wide and up to about 85mm tall. pic attached. so it seems that it could well be possible to do something as simple as having a strip of velcro along the inside of the box and on the back of the psp and it will sit fine with the box open whenever you want to use it. It will even utilise the 'hood' of the open box as a bit of glare protection.
