  1. any recomendations to get a bit more power? do you guys think i could crack 260kw if i add external wastegate? adjust the cams? and go to a different tunner? JEM maybe ? i dont think incar racing was up to scratch with the tune.. when i mentioned to play with my adjustable cam gears they said it would make no difference and thats when i knew he was probably not the best tunner to take my car.. only went there because my mate works at the place...

Get a hypergear high flow or a ss1pu, then take it back to your tuner.

  2. Just come back from Trents. and a little update on our new R33 high flowed turbocharger. This is the result from current standard high flow profile priced at $860 inc oil feeding line.

Result take from SxxRicho's R33 skyline, stock engine, factory manifold internally gated on E85

Dumped 2 degrees of timing up top making it extra safe for tracks.

Thick red: 322rwkws, Thin red was 312rwkws, Green which is 294rwkws

Thats excellent work. Any results with a R34 turbo?

  3. Really, has Garrett fallen that far behind? It just seems to be the most popular choice in the rb25 dyno threads and from speaking to people.

If I was to go for a hyper gear turbo can anyone suggest where I can source intake pipe, dump pipe and manifold from in Sydney ?

Hypergears is a bolton turbo. you will need few silicon hoses to make a induction pipe and thats pretty much it. I personally vote for SS1PU super responsive 260rwkws

  4. As promised, stock SR20DET, flex fuel, ~17psi with internally gated TD05H 16G6 8cm housing. Heaps more in it, but this is more than enough for a stock engine track car for now :-) 17psi was hit between 3300-3400rpm, dyno run as per Status Dynapack advised setup to keep things comparable :

    Having a comparing against hypergear's billet SS2 turbo in 8cm a none vct 180sx.

Pretty keen to see the difference of the HG version on your S14 against the kando's td05 and T517Z.

  5. The difference between GCG and Hypergear is that GCG rebuild the turbo with a new ball bearing cartridge. This is the expensive part. Hypergear put a bush bearing in, and they are half the price. Hypergear can do a BB centre on request but it ends up being 2 grand just like GCG. Not worth it in my opinion, and many others will agree as Hypergear gets rave reviews and is doing a lot of development on turbos as evidenced by the large thread on the subject!!

There is no real advantage of getting a more expansive ball bearing high flow, when hypergear's bush bearing high flow makes more power, better response and half the cost. He's thread contains heaps of people making good power and has helped many people sorting out their own problems plus their latest developments are amazing.

  6. ATR superior? According to every tuner in Adelaide MTQ or GCG are superior hence the $2000 price tag on each

For $2000 you can buy their billet ATR Roller bearing that pumps 370rwkws+ with better response fatter power band then any of those high flows could ever get, with spares for a gate. Yes superior.

  7. Putting the BB SS2 back on dyno next week on high mount setup as well as the SS1PU. Up to this stage the BB SS2 steel felt the best on road in terms of overall drivability. video footage of it with the latest oil delivery setup.

Will post results against the other two once finished.

Run your ball bearing cores with your new billet TD06s, I'm sure that will turn plenty of eye balls.
