  1. Haven't seen a stagea in months over in Perth, then I see 3 in 24hours. Met Chris (footo) yesterday on a cruise, greenish c34 in doubleview, and silver, maybe an autech?? At the lights,marmion/burns beach road.

  2. ss can be a hard to work with especially front pipe/dump, is it a full exhaust or catback?

is it M35 specific and if its just hangers any exhaust/muffler place can do it.

Just the catback, two of the hangers line up, and the two rear ones (supporting the cannon) do not fit the stock mounts, hectic work commitments mean I can only deal with it on weekends. Missed my opportunity this morning but will try next weekend.

Thinking of getting a new front pipe made up while I'm at it, any thoughts on what I should be looking at, wanting it quiet but just freer flowing.

  3. This was way more effort, stress and money than it should have been, but finally got it changed over... I never want to do that again!

Still waiting to get my cat-back in and dale's brace when it comes.

Next on my list is new brakes and probably the HDI inter-cooler, dump, front pipe etc etc etc haha... if only money grew on trees

  4. On the flip side I had a great experience with nagoya, pretty much the opposite of yours. The sales rep I dealt with was upfront, helpful, and when it came down to a warranty company not paying up when my turbo died they were more than helpful in coming to a resolution, mind you 1/2 of what the warranty people should have paid out, but that was by no means nagoya's fault, there's a whole lot more to that story...

  5. Mechanic said 20% on the rear windows. Both driver and passenger windows have already had tint removed which was all the was required for compliance.

Auto power joondalup. Only place I could find open on a Saturday.

Have a bookIng already with a place up in gin gin just in case this happened, but no point throwing another 60 bucks away. So I guess I get the tint removed...

  6. Failed the inspection on window tint being too dark on the rear windows. One would think if it was able to be complianced and registered in nsw with window tint as is it wouldn't be an issue, obviously not.

Can anyone recommend a decent/cheap window tinter, or somewhere not as an*l.

Thrilled about throwing a hundred bucks away...

  7. Posting to say G'day, moved across from NSW recently with my silver M35.

Enjoying the process of trying to get the car inspected and license changed to WA while having a 9-5 job...

Got an inspection this coming saturday so fingers crossed its all good.

I get the impression there isn't a whole lot of M35's over here...

    Cheers

    Nick

  8. Mate; it's pretty straightforward, if you're unsure, take a few pics before you pull everything apart and above all TAKE YOUR TIME.

RDA rotors are fine; I reckon the Remsa pads sold by GSL Rallysport (forum trader) are great value with an excellent heat range, although they are a little dusty. Still, I'd rather have brakes that work than clean wheels. ;)

GSL are great to deal with; I've ordered pads in the morning, and received them on my doorstep the next morning; from QLD to Blue Mountains NSW! Seriously quick service!

Thanks for the tips I've been looking at a few vids and writeups online, for different cars mind you, but they all seem to say that most cars are the same. Will I need a special tool or like a C clamp etc to push the piston out for the new pads? Is there a requirement to bleed the system after changing them etc

PS thinking of grabbing something like this in the near to distant future, http://www.ebay.com....=item27c8937848 Thoughts?

PPS any idea when you are doing your next run of braces :P

    Cheers

  9. G'day,

I'm about due for a brake replacement/upgrade just wondering if some one could give me advice on the difficulty, or rather potential of f***ing something up when replacing the pads, and potentially rotors on an m35.

Tinkered plenty with other cars, but never brakes, trying to save myself some money.

Looking at the RDA slotted rotors and unsure of pads.

    Cheers

  10. I put mine on a truck a few weeks ago and had it safely arrive in Perth on Friday.

I had a search but turned up donuts, can anyone recommend anyone to go to in perth, preferably the nth side to look after it? If they can do a vehicle safety check (pink slip) that'd be great too!

Now just waiting for my Apexi N1 from joshm35 to arrive :P

  11. My advice is to be careful where you go...

I got ripped off hard for what I thought was an engine out high-flow rebuild, turns out they just f**ked around getting it in and out with the engine remaining in car. This all by a northern beaches franchise of a widespread automotive mechanic company recommend by my warranty company who then tried to take them for a walk (approaching $5k) and shot himself in the foot saying it was my fault it broke... I ended up forking out more than $3K, and that was after a payout of approx $1200 (1/3rd of what it should have been). I believe it was a sierra 2 rebuild, but when I asked for info on what they actually put in I got donuts! The receipt said "turbo up spec rebuild $(bullsh*t).00" Also no info if they drilled the banjo out or not...

My advice would be to shop around, needless to say I'm a rather bitter about my experience... still haven't fully recovered financially, if I could go back I wouldn't have wasted my time and money dealing with this workshop and warranty cr*p and gone straight to Jetwreck for a no BS, cheaper alternative from someone that actually knows a thing or two about this car. I'd probably know exactly what work was done and equipment went into the car too...

  12. Chance encounter in traffic with a tidy black M35 just past the servo's on the way to Williamtown/nelson bay. Had a bit of a laugh. Wouldn't mind my car to go like yours if you're on here haha
