  1. is it the one on top of the 1 wire one which goes to the head and clicks when reving the car? or another one?
  2. hi,once gain something new to my problem list lol now im just about to drive and the engine is at cold temp. while driving taking the revs up to 3000/4000RPM its fine ,as soon as it starts to warm up say first line and a lil bit it starts to hesitate like can hear from the exhaust making a brrrr brrrr blocking sound between that rev range 3000/4000Rpm and then after 4000rpm goes. When its fully warmed up never again.always seems to do it when going between from cold and normal running temp on my factory temp gauge. just to add its under boost. thinking maybe my ecu goes to coldstart or something or maybe my water temp sensor no good,not sure. have posted a similar topic on the cold start issue when starting but now its almost like its following me on the road lol. it just does it between that rev rang on that temp i mentioned....i seem to get the strangest problems lol any ideas....
  3. i have noticed on my water temp sensor when its plugged in i rev the car a lil and it clicks everytime i go over 1200rpm,is that normal?
  4. Is that with the 2 pins near the radiator hose that comes off to go to the radiator.... or there another one?
  5. no mate i got the greddy emange on it but like u said i got this aswell when the add ons and bolt on mods...im leaning towards the water temp sensor aswell. what you said on yours is almost same as mine as in cold start if no accelerate it just idles around 200/300rpm and just switches off and might occasionally pick up after 5 seconds to its normal cold start revs.cant really drive it till its warmed up. Strange when if i just drive it say after 30 secs, its ok to drive but then as the temp goes up a lil say to the first line between the rev range of 2500/3500 rpm just hold back and and can hear the from the exhaust cutting out like brrrrrrrr like trying to clear up but then after a 10 min drive and warmed up no problem wat so ever beside that idle drop a lil and sounds like the cold start again but very rough and then clears up after abit of reving....still thinking afm but could be wrong but cant be more then 3 or 4 things.....
  6. Just as it was running ok, just touched the part on the afm where the cover to get to the solder joints are and switches off... If i like push the cover a lil in it switches off.. any ideas.
  7. was thinking the fuelpump or c.a.s has its hesitation and roughness wen cold but wen its warmed up to normal operating temp seems to be almost running perfect besides abit of the idle dropping 100/200 rpm lower then normal but back up after a bit of reving,sounds like fuelpump or pressure...
  8. Had cleaned my aac valve a couple of month ago so dont think its got dirty again..maybe my afm has shit itself.

  10. hey guys, have a small problem when starting my car up when cold. Just recently started that when i start the car when cold it feels like its blocking up like revs are real low and runs rough like 200/300 rpm for like 10/15 seconds and then clears up and idles normal. As soon as car warms up it wont do it again but when it does warm up and idling normal it go back to running idling rough like its blocked or something, it be like for 30 seconds idling rough and then with a bit of revs it goes back to normal again. Any ideas cause was thinking maybe fuel filter but not sure because mechanic said the fuel filter is new.

  12. Yea car is fine, boosting fine np there,just thought everyone with hiflows has it so just wonderd why mine didnt thats all,maybe cause its a big turbo thats why....cant complain if its running nice.
  13. saas filter i have on and tryed k&n pod and really nothing but just a lil bit like if i go past a car on the side u can hear it but very faint and the flutter is low as,but no where near my stock turbo which is strange cause i used the same pod and 3 inch intake and had a killer induction/suction sound. Dont think i need the mesh one to get it cause my stock turbo didnt need it,only diff with this turbo is its hiflow and bigger and would think it sound awesome or better then the stock skyline turbo. just strange that it would have full on induction sound on stock and not on a hiflow bigger one could it be the plump back bov or something like that but wouldve been the same as the stock turbo...
  14. na dnt wont the sound just thought from my stock turbo was like shhhhhhhhh wen on boost and my bro car put a bigger turbo on his n does it so just thought something up with mine but every turbo/car different I guess
  15. the afm was bad like i dnt no even how it got that power figure,it was cutting out on me bad like wen the afm was running up and down it would cut out and thought it was my coilpacks and spark plugs but was the solder joint coming loose wen it would heat up and since then never had a problem again,im about 90 percent on the leaning part coming from there cause like u said its getting enough fuel unless he got no clue on tuning lol
  16. yea alot of people say the dyno is a low reading,as if i went to another id probally get in the 200rkw mark,but with the mods i have there not gonna come into effect on that low boost like fmic,and bigger injectors and all that,plus i think it was more a power reading then a tune..i tryed it on 11/12 psi just to see and omg wat a difference as the turbo comes alive/car but im thinking its the tune it needs bad and i only payed $150 lol so dnt think it was a tune and with all those mods you would think it needs a mega tune to get it right not just 1 hour on the dyno lol.... i just think with the mods it just needs the boost winded up to get its power cause dont think anyone would go out and spend 10k and run 9psi lol see how i go on next dyno on 15psi or so with a full tune!
  17. I have no induction/suction sound with my hiflow PU turbo why is that..have 3inch metal intake and podfilter and nothing like my stock one but car goes fine. any ideas... thanx.
  18. Hey guys got my car dynoed but power was way lower then i expected.. Mods are. full 3inch exhaust, bellmouth dumpipe and hiflow cat FMIC 550cc injectors with 040 fuel pump greddy style plenium with 80mm throttle body Pu hiflow turbo new coil packs 3inch intake with K&N pod filter z32 afm greddy e-manage aftermarket b.o.v plumped back running 9.5 psi made 185rkw does that sound about right? mechanic said i need adjustable fuel pressure regulator cause its just starting to lean on that boost...i did have a problem with my afm as the soleder joint one of them was loose but dont think that causes leaning out... wat do you guys think? or do i neeed just to run heaps of boost like 17ps/18psi for it to come alive with all these mods and the turbo is a .82?
  19. all fixed guys,was the soldering inside the joint one was loose and plus the plug was just all dirty and that.....np now just cant believe was driving it around and got it dynoed like that....runs heaps better by a mile! thnx for the help!
  20. ok cool thnx,,,might go to wreckers and pick one up... its strange as soon as i drive it just thought of like pushes back and foward like jerks the car and just turns off and just even the slightest of revs most times.Seems to be like wen i move the induction pipe or the plug which now i have just wired it up with clips to see if it is that and still does it....bit confused at the moment cant even take it anywhere without it just stalling on me or jerking and then turning off and happens randomly.
  21. i checked that and was all fine,its when i put the plug on and as soon as i just slightly touch it or wiggle it a lil it turns off so seems like inside the plug not conecting propally .....any ideas where to get that tomei z32 plug from secondhand or new?
  22. hey guys my plug on my z32 afm is making my car turn off and sometimes works... its like if it starts and if i move or wiggle it around just a fraction it turns off the car,have to like push it foward the plug in the afm to stay on with a lil pressure or it turns off when release.. thought it might be the pins on the afm coming loose but more of the plug just not connecting propally with that lil clip that holds the plug.. dont really no wat to do or buy a plug for it.....

Just getting checked now on dyno,was thinking big boost leak aswell.....had tryed the preload 2/3mm but still nothing last night still hit boost like 4 psi but not thrashing and that normal..,i checked everything in oil feed line which oil was coming out as ussually turbo spins freely and great and minimal shaftplay...has to be big boost leak for sure cant think of anything else.

Hey guy just have a quick question and need some help cause dont no wats wrong. i purchased a hypergear PU turbo and installed all perfect no problems. the problem im having is when i hit boost it just doesnt make any suction or turbo sound and if it does its really low and flutter or even my bov thats plumed back doest have the release sound and im hitting like 4 psi. With my stock turbo i had before installed which is a S1 turbo it had suction turbo sound and flutter and release pressure of my bov and it was plumped. i thought it might be the lag abit on it thats why it needs to hit more RPM but still nothing just a faint lil sound but my stock turbo sounded crazy . ive got alloy intake pipe not the stock rubber one. Any help would be great cause cant take it to hypergear a lil to far at the moment to get there so just thought id ask here if anyone had come across anything similar.
