  1. would like to come down and meet some people, but the bottom end bearing is on the way out.. Getting another motor tomorrow..
  2. Same, took me all day.. Very nice car mate, You have a really interesting story to tell, and its great to hear that you can actually go out and enjoy your wonderful car instead of being hospitalised or stuck at home. After reading through your trips through gorge road, I couldnt resist any longer, I did a full gorge road cruise today, finishing off my nearly perished clutch. From there I went to the bay to have dinner when, And im not sure, but I spotted a really nice ceffy like yours down there today, Saturday the 19th of November 2011. Good work with the car, what are future plans?
  3. 4 20mm bolt on spacers with studs/nuts. Must be 4 x 114.3 Can pick up. PM what you have, cheers.
  4. NISR34, Looked soo mint! Cant remember time, but heading up west terrace in the city, right out the front of CMI toyota, heading towards goodwood road.

My first decent car, My 31.

My first skyline and probably not my last. This is my 89 Aussie R31 Silhouette. This is how it sits at the moment. Pretty much all standard driveline wise. About to get a mini spool. Its a RB30E 5 speed. I have some decent plans for it, but with a slow income leaving me ages to plan and score a bargain.
  6. 4 Wheel spacers. 4 15 mm or 20 mm 4x114.3 bolt on. For a R31. Need to space all 4 wheels. Depending where they are located, I could pick up. Probably around $150 for some with nuts. PM me, cheers.
  7. Hey, Im John, bought my 4th car, first skyline. Its a stock R31 Silhouette, N/A 5 speed. Well stock for now, I have a list of what i would like to do to it. Thought i would come onto the fourms and ask a few questions when needed, do some research through here and if i can, help out some other people.. Ohh and also to have a look at other R31's, but I havnt seen to many on this fourm. Well, cheers guys.
  8. You probably have, but if not, Tried changing your clutch fluid and checking your clutch if it needs replacement? Im in the same boat with my R31.. Its only in third downshift though, which is weird and makes me think the syncros are worn and in need of replacement. Did a clutch fluid change and bleed, and a gearbox oil change at work today and found a fair bit of metal in the gearbox.. But it did improve the performance of my gearbox/clutch brilliantly! And instead of crunching when doing quick shifts it now is nice, smooth and quiet. exept for the downshift into thrid. Rev matching does seem to improve the quality of the shift, but ill still get that crunch feeling through the gear stick.
