  1. Just bought a set of standard shocks & springs for my R32 GTS4. I want to take out my old gear and put this new set in. Can anyone give me any pointers as I've never done this sort of thing before? I am hoping to do this asap so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
  2. I have 1 in Sydney, Fairfield area if you're still looking. Ph: Zac - 0423 43 53 53
  3. Thanks blind_elk. It is reassuring to know that its not something worth worrying about.
  4. '92 r32 gts4 When cruising at a steady speed, pretty much no matter what speed my torque split needle has started to jump to about 5 percent then back to zero then back up again. My tyres are fine so I doubt it slips in and out of 4wd due to loss of traction. My shocks are stuffed, could that be it? Is there a sensor that causes the switch to 4wd and how do I check/test this? Will removing the 4wd fuse help? I'm a bit confused, any help would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks for the info sydneykid. I'm glad I don't need a (misinformed) engine builder now that I've gone back to stock as a rock. Your info certainly explains why my hks ones wore so quickly, I can only imagine what they did to the tune of my engine.
  6. Thanks mate. Three cheers for BlackR33GT-ST.
  7. I have had HKS items, and I would say from my experience steer clear. They wore down in no time. I think they're made from aluminium or something, thats why they wear faster. I believe Tomei items are stainless steel and so last heaps longer. If someone would like to correct me here these please do. I'd rather know the truth than talk outta my arse, but my HKS experience wasn't a good one (WASTE of MONEY) and what I know I got from my engine builder.
  8. Thanks guys for the info. That kinda rules out the r33gtr rims. I guess thats for the best, tyre cost would have killed me. 17x8's are good enough improvement over the standard rims. Could someone explain WHAT an offset is and HOW they affect what I can put on my car?
  9. I've seen an s13 with 17x9's and it looked fine. Still, don't know about my car. If anyone else has any advice please urgently, I've got to make a choice soon. Thanks
  10. I'm looking at buying rims soon. What size wheel (width) can I fit onto my r32 gts4? I want to get r33 gtr rims (17x9) but are scared they might be too wide.
  11. Veilside r33 recommended Focal speakers and I would have to say I definately agree with him there. Alpine speakers, unless you're buying their top of the line stuff are generally quite average. Focal are unbelievable, especially for the price, and mine sound easily twice as good as my friends alpine typer splits. I also like Boston Rallys and JL audio speakers. Alpine amps are good, but my money would be on an Eclipse amp. If you're hell bent on Alpine however they are a good amp choice nonetheless. With the headunit, I like Eclipse or Clarion (I have the clarion dxz746mp). Alpine are also good but for SQ the other two are the picks. Oh and sound deaden your door. I was quoted about $300 bucks for for them to do both front doors so at $150 a door its affordable. It'll make your midbass much better and stop road noise affecting your tweeter's detail. With subs, I'd go Pioneer (or DLS)! My friend's alpine type r sub sounds shithouse compared to his brothers (much) cheaper Rockford sub (which I though was shithouse before he bought the pioneer class d to power it), and if you read a lot of local car mags Pioneer subs tend to come first in the SQ marks. Pioneer's sound good when you give them a lot of power to play with, and that includes their $250 subs and upwards. They sell ready made subs in boxes too, the amp for a sub tends to be more important imo. DLS are good but generally more expensive and hard to source. Oh and make sure a reputable shop does the fitting. Proper installation makes a big difference. Don't let your 'mate who knows how to do it' touch anything! my 2c, hope it helps
  12. Hey guys Looking for a r32 mspec front bar, preferably in marone. Doesn't matter if the paint is in bad condition, as long as the bar itself is well fit. Prefer Sydney seller. Thanks
  13. Thats right. Hopefully someone out there can tell me how to remove my window tinting in a very low cost manner. Thanks
  14. Cool! I'll contact you soon about the gear so I can come have a look see. Thanks Zac
