  1. Are you saying the O2 sensor adjusts fueling? All it does is "sense". The ECU adjusts the fueling accordingly via the injectors.
  2. You're wrong (as usual) The PFC is a standalone ECU. It does other things besides control timing (ITC) and fueling (afc). Btw: You're the one with the fancy AVC-R, enough blue to hold a disco. Not to mention your ful sic bro head unit Teeheehee P.S. Third place my ass, bitch
  3. JimX, you wouldn't have to worry about any damage to the engine. You've just experience your car in "limp-home" mode. The ECU detected a fault in the AFM. Limp-home mode doesn't allow you to rev past a certain rev range (it's about 3000rpm on mine - not a 'line tho). It retards timing way back and dumps in a shit load of petrol.
  4. Don't worry about it, if you go too far I'm sure the smart nissan engineers have included a fuel cut. If not, then you can push the car home Otherwise, you can go "ful sic bro" and install an 5" autometer tacho. Then you'll never miss a shift! I think I've seen 272...I'll check my 2+ gig collection of episodes.

    Nice To Meet U

    1. Underdunk. 2. Homer doesn't have a birthday. I dunno, tell me.
  6. SKYLNR...the turbo is a GT2530. It builts boost at about 1200-1500rpm (ie positive pressure). Gets going at 3000. The party starts at 4500 to 7000. Flattens out at to redline at 7500. RS73...worded incorrectly, I meant to say if he didn't have ABS then you should pump it, otherwise just stomp the pedal hard and don't let go until you stop. SS8_Gohan (great name, I'm a fan of DBZ). A dog box allows you to change gears without a clutch (without doing considerable damage to syncros - since they don't have any). For example, a quick shift into second without a dog box can be performed like this. Give it hell in 1st, 'pre-load' the shifter by putting very light force as if you were about to go into second. As you approach red-line or rev limiter release the go-fast-pedal. Slam into second without clutch. Stomp go-fast-pedal. Sure enough you can do this with a synchro box but you'd have to be careful and rev match correctly, otherwise you're just wearing out your sync's Ula...my 156kw@4wheels two years ago is just that, two years ago. Hell, it was good enough to do a 13.1 @ 104mph down Calder and numerous 0-100 runs in 4.7 seconds with a gearbox safe launch
  7. Haha, a GST-t box in my car that'd make it RWD (not that it's possible) and make it undriveable in the wet. Then I'll have to suffer from boost problems like all you GTS-t owners. I stripped 2nd gear coming into boost at about 5000rpms. Yes ladies and gents too much power. This was sometime last year close to it's current state of tune. Running 1.4bar (20psi). The gearbox is a weak link, but nothing a 1/2 dog box wont fix. Which is in my list of things to purchase. Then I'll be shifting from 1st to 2nd without the clutch. Will be fun (wet weather or dry weather ) And if you think I'm talking crap about to power remark, just ask Ula who spanks his R32 GTR. Btw, Ula, you're a poof (Canadian at that!)
  8. Why? Does everyone on this forum have to own a skyline? No? Thought so!
  9. Aww man, you so got me there....pfft.
  10. Skylines without the flared rear guards look like crap too. The GTS-t in standard form isn't deserving of it's inherited looks of the GTR. Get over it. You're car isn't exactly a ZZ II Tommykiara. It's like seeing another dressed up Lancer made to be an Evo. You GTS-t owner do the same. I don't have fake GTR badges on my car. Nor do I pretend it's anything like one. But putting on a GTR front bar, grill, side skirt, wing, key.
  11. Do you want to get into a discussion about who has more money? I bought my R over two years ago. I'm quite certain that back then it cost more than your 92 (cost my car is a 92 GTi-R) Skyline. Am I getting thru to you Skyline owners? I didn't want a Skyline, I never wanted a Skyline. Thats why I bought a GTi-R. Sheez...it's like you GTS-t owners think you're all god because you drive a skyline. Get over it...it's a GTS-t...not a GTR. If I wanted a GTR I would have bought one. Or saved a bit more and bought one.
  12. Because it's better than a GTS-t Had to do it
  13. Because I love spanking you big boys in your skylines with my shopping trolley. The looks I get after spanking a skyline is awesome.
  14. Nar, I don't want one. Ula has one and I spank his R32 running lest boost then my max setting in my shitbox. I want a Mark 4 Chaser. But I can't justify letting go of the shitbox after I've spent quite a bit on stronger internals. Well, not until I buy a bigger turbo and shove 2.0bar down it's throat.
  15. That's funny, last I checked this thread was about driving 'Line's in the wet. Now, consider this scenario. A GTR driver boosts it in the wet. Looses traction. Fronts wheels kick in right. Effectively making them 4wd. GTS-t driver boosts it in the wet. Goes sideways and hopefully kills himself because he's an idiot and knows his car will obviously loose traction. So, all in all. Yes, I know they're rear biased. But this is wet weather driving in a Line. They front wheels will obviously get torque transfered to them. As for me, I enjoy boosting it in all types of weather. One more thing. If I wanted a skyline I would have got one. Even over two years ago when I got my car these GTS-t's were about as common as a Commodore/Falcon around Melb. And over two years ago, I couldn't afford a GTR, I was still studying.
  16. real men with money drive 4wd skylines (of the gtr variety) real men who are poor can't afford 4wd skylines.
  17. Does your car have abs? If so, has it ever saved your ass in the wet? If so, learn to brake properly and pump the pedal rather than jamming it. Get my point? Besides, I'm sure 4wd drivers will agree with me here. Boosting in the wet is hella fun when all 4 wheels light up.
  18. poor guys with only 2 wheels driving your cars

    Where exactly is Questacon?
  21. With a better launch, you could have possibly cracked the 12s. I mean barely..I'm talking 12.9 You should be getting closer to 1.7-1.8 on the 0-60ft time. Work on your launches. ie. It's a GTR. You want to light up the rear wheels so the front wheels actually do some work. So, rev to rev-limiter if not close to it. Release clutch (quickly, hell sidestep if you want ). Make sure to brace neck accordingly. The snap into 2nd could also do some damage (to your neck or car...what ever is weaker)
  22. Out of curiousity what was your terminal speed with the 13.2?
  23. LOL! I grew up from St. Albans mate, I see VL Turbo's at every street corner. There are a handful that really blow the pants of ya. They look slick and they have the power to boot! Go the Nissan powered Holden
  24. Bren, you're right, you're not a habib. But you are from Melton so it's kinda like the same, ain't it How's the skyline going? Done any more to it since I last saw it at the Lorne cruise?
  25. Tell me about C&V! Perhaps they just got complancent on your car. Sorry to hear, I feel bad for ever recommending them. Yes, Ivan's did do a 12.3 @ 109mph on a standard car. Just the basic turbo mods really, boost (1.4 bar), chiptorque, 3" exhaust. But with a bloody gearbox shattering launch I reckon a 12 is possible on most i-R's with the basic turbo mods as long as it's tuned via a replacement ECU or daughterboard so timing/fueling are perfect. Make sure to post a Ivan style post of the events at the Creek tomorrow night. As my taking mine to the drags. I've gotta fix the weakest link before I can fully realise it's potential. Remember, I stripped 2nd gear when the car came on boost, not when I shifted into it. I drive it like a granny in 1st and 2nd nowadays. Launches are also a thing of the past too. But I do miss it. Thats why I get Ula to launch his R32...they're hella fun taking off at the rev limiter The 15th sounds good. I'll be around town and we'll try to organise a meet up with the other iR guys in this town.
