  1. As soon as it's all back together i'll get the fuel pressure gauge on it and check pressure at idle and under load just to make sure. I'm just curious, How long did you have your 040 before it gave up like that? I'm thinking about upgrading to one eventually and just wondering about reliability? Thanks again! Daniel.
  2. I had the injectors flowed at my work this morning and one of them flowed almost nothing, the others were all below what they should have been as well.Changing the baskets and sonic bathing them monday, really hoping this is what was causing it! Thanks for all the advice guys! Daniel.
  3. That is why i put a whole set of coils in that are known to work and it's still missing, might pull my injectors out and flow them tomorrow at work if i get a chance.. Other than injectors though, there's not much else it can be.. right?
  4. I put a set of brand new set of BCPR6ES in this morning and still miss firing, the plugs i put in previously were gapped at 0.8mm Anyone think dry solder joints in the air flow meter might cause this? And it miss fires constantly, under acceleration and at idle. Got the multimeter out for a couple hours this afternoon and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.. Think it's almost time to send it to the Auto Lecky.
  5. Okay so here goes, started my car one morning and it ran fine warming up but as soon as i took off the car started miss firing and running like sh*t. Thinking my plugs had finally given up i replaced them with bpr7es (they were NGK iridium ones gapped to 1.1) the new ones still miss fired. I've also replaced all my coil packs with ones that are known to work. Also cleaned the AAC valve and replaced the fuel filter thinking it was fuel related. The car still miss fires and i am out of ideas on what to test or look for next. Also reset the ecu and no change. Car has full 3' exhaust, FMIC, Electronic boost controller set to 10 psi, Apexi pod filter. Any ideas on what to check or look at next are much appreciated! Daniel
  6. Okay so here the story goes; My gearbox grinds when changing gears, both shifting down and up. Not every time, but most times. I changed my gearbox oil to 80w90, was still exactly the same. I then put this ultra high performance oil we had lying around at work pretty sure it was 50w70. Still exactly the same. So im thinking it can't be oil related? and because it's every gear, both up and down i don't think it's synchro's either? so now im thinking clutch. More specifically, if it's not engaging all the way.. I dropped it in fourth with the handbrake on and it stalled straight away (which is good right?). The only other thing i can think of is diaphragm fingers on the pressure plate bent, which would make the clutch not engage all the way? Any ideas or advice would be so helpful! Many thanks! Daniel
  7. Just to clear the murky waters a little, the FT-86 is powered by a Subaru inspired boxer motor.. Not a subaru motor. As far as im aware subaru has never used direct injection in a petrol boxer motor, this is why Toyota are calling it the D4-S. I work at Toyota and no matter how much i pester people about the release date and price, all i seem to get is mid july to august sometime and reasonably priced. Looking at the prices for other brand new Toyota's, it isn't going to be exactly cheap but what brand new rear wheel drive coupe is right? When the release for the eight six was announced, Subaru was unsure of releasing the BRZ in Australia. Mainly because of the competition with toyota which would be released first but also because Subaru Australia is an all wheel drive market and that is all they sell in australia. This was months ago of course, someone please correct me if i am wrong.
  8. WGMG -People that buy an brand new Toyota, come to my work and tell me that nothing works. Open your owners manual, it will tell you that the AC button should be depressed for the air con to work. The button that has a picture of a window, yeah that stops them working, they are not broken. -People who cannot merge, and rather than allow me to merge in front of you will sit right next to me until the last second. -People who don't indicate, without that flashing light.. i don't know where you are going. -Regardless of what kind of fully sick Falcodore you have, i am not going to race you on the merits that you think you are faster than me. -Women logic.
