  1. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/199497-can-exhaust-replicate-race-car-gear-changing-3.html From Antony@Indigo-GT In response to this I had a play today Link to video. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
  2. Well for people that aren’t haters on this forum if you’re interested I'm getting a new rom file to test this feature on one of my maps. I’m using ecutek and will have it set to map 4. Spoke to willal about this and he said it was only an option with syvecs and motec. There are all kinds of reasons why F1 and FIA GT3 cars use this feature. It can be used to save fuel in a race, to engine retarding to help slow down. Depending how it’s setup it can damage an engine but doesn’t have too. With phase 4 of ecutek it opens even more options on ecu programing. I'll keep you posted how it goes!
  3. Wouldn’t maintaining boost cause it to spike between gears be bad thing for the car. I'm sure all the tuners using syvecs ECU must be amateurs.

  9. Anyone got in stock a cobb access port v6 for sale in Perth or know any businesses that do?
  10. Hay guys, Looking at getting a full fluid change on my R35, anyone one know any good places in Perth to take it to besides Fabcar and JPC? Nissan want $2800.... BMW in Wangara can get me Pentosin FFL4 for $36 a liter. I’m also thinking of going with Redline 0W40 or Motul 8100 X-Max 0W-40 Motor Oil. For the diff I’m thinking about Motul SAE 75W140 gear oil. Most places I’ve spoken to in Perth want to go OEM Fluids. They want $1200 for 10L transmission oil! I can get it imported for $700? In the UK you can get it for, Full Fluid Service £499 ($843 AUD) Including: Engine oil change - MOTUL 300V NISMO approved oil and O.E. Oil filter Gearbox fluid change - PENTOSIN FFL-4 DCT fluid Front and Rear differential oil change - MOTUL competition 75-140 XTRAC/HEWLAND/MUGEN approved oil '50 point check' WTF is wrong with Perth? Just Jap Auto in Sydney also want $23,999.00 for a new gearbox?!? You can buy it for $13,100 US over in the states for a 2013 spec (GR6-Z30A)?? Cheers Dave
  11. Good News I got North Side Nissan to fix my cluster and give me a 2 year warranty on the new cluster.
  12. My instrument cluster back lights have stopped working and seeing my warranty is out of date by 4 months i called up north-side Nissan to see if they would cover it? They wont cover it and to buy a new one it costs over $3000. Europe and North America are very aware of this common problem with the instrument cluster and will cover this problem for 6 years from the time sold. Check the link down below. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-abxlVDvzPO0/TwsrFBtntqI/AAAAAAABAT4/Loco-dHAlow/s1600/cluster.jpg Whats also interesting is that people that have had it replaced have had the same problem come up again. Some people have had there clusters replaced over 3 times! So whats the go if i paid them $3000 or so to have it replaced only to have it play up again further down the track and still not have it covered under a warranty. It looks like they replace there units with other ones that were made around the same time. Spare excess inventory? So if they fixed the issues in 2012 or so with the new design instrument clusters they wont send them out but rather ones made in 2009 with the same problem. WTF! Also i found a web site that sells OEM parts in north america and the cluster is only $1900 US. So we get f$%ket over 2 ways. http://www.nissanpar...mponentsIndex=2
  13. North side Nissan in Western Australia told me Nissan teamed up with another company to offer an "extension on the new car warranty" for $7900 for 3 years. Its not a true extension of the new car warranty but will cover any costs up to the value of the vehicle. They would bring your car in and value it by Nissan. So if its value is $100K they would cover that amount. Yea kinda f#$ket up hu?
  14. Hay guys, just checking on the thread. Sent off an email about extended warranty to north side Nissan. This was there reply. “David we are just waiting for the final draft to be signed off by the underwriters being Nissan and Allianz. As soon as we have this we will contact you to organise this with you.” Cheers mate any ideas of cost? “Unfortunately I think that is the part they are trying to decide.” Also my instrument cluster back lights are not working and flickering. Anyone ell’s have this problem? I hope this is covered by the normal used car warranty they give to Nissans used cars. I’m sure that cluster is not cheap.
  15. Yea true but my warranty runs out in a few months.. touch wood nothing happens. But yea a lot of people are after the extended warranty and i heard from Nissan that it would cost $5000 for another 3 years. Just have to wait and see. Man the guy who owned the car before me has the worst music in that music box thing. WTF How do i delete that shit.
  16. Nissan told me the warranty is still valid with the modifications. $116K and it has 16,000kms.
  17. Hello there Just brought an Australian 09 white premium GTR from north side Nissan. Done over 1000 km's and so far its been amazing. I'm a big Ferrari nut and was going to get a 360 but after going on one of those drive days in Sydney i found the GTR to be the better car. It's had a Cobb tune and a titanium exhaust added by the previous owner. The warranty is going to expire in a few months and just wondering if any of you guys looked at getting it extended? Nissan told me they are working with Allianz to have an option to buy an extended warranty? As other warranty's from other company's only cover $2000 of the cost of the drivetrain and engine.
