On some advice, brought it down to Nissan today. They didn't find any problems apparently. The console showed up nothing, just the TPS was acting up a little. Idle was adjusted and that was it (although it's still wavering a little). Hmmm..I'm still sus on the Hicas. ECU wasn't readjusted either. Mebbe I'm just paranoid... Car's performing fine...and she's a dream to drive. I'm proud to say that...hooray..I finally own a Skyline Always wanted one anyway. Now...to bring the boost to 10psi. Some nicer rims. Shite..I'm still looking for webspace to host a pic of the car. Thanks for the advice guys!

Actually, the idle was varying between 500-850 when the aircon was OFF. So I don't know what the heck is going on...it's given me no problems so far. But I better get it checked. I think it was doing that on inspection but probably not that noticeable. What I meant though is that when the aircon is ON, the idle becomes constant and doesn't vary anymore. Only when it is OFF. Bizarre bizarre. Other thing that bothers me. Happens occasionally, past 70km/h, suddenly the cars steering goes off abit. I feel as if the rear is floating. I take it that's the hicas at work? However, my wheel suddenly doesn't become aligned straight anymore. However, most of the time it seems to have no problems of that sort. HICAS problem? Would a 4WS alignment help? Anyone also know where I can get wreckers for skyline parts? Thinking of looking for a Type-M body kit or some nice side skirting. Any advice guys? Thanks!

Actually...the revs vary when I have no aircondition on. So while it's at idle...the tone changes quite frequently. Isn't that quite disturbing Will check out ICEPERFORMANCE. The thing is...my car looks different from those with a Type M bodykit. Is there such a thing? I'd like a body kit like that...not too ostentatious

Hi guys, Just some questions about my 32 that I'd like to ask. I'm still a newbie here, so forgive my ignorance. 1. What the heck is a Type-M? What's so different between that and a standard GTST? 2. With my fan switched on (air-con is off), I notice my revs at idle keep varying between 650-850. And the tone of the engine note is variable. However, with the air-con on, it's at 900 and it stays constant. Why is this so? Anyway I can stop the variations? Do an ECU reset? 3. Where can I find a knowledgeable skyline or nissan sportscar mechanic in Melbourne? Any recommendations?

Found the article at last! Besides doing the battery thing, would the only other way to reset the ECU, be using a diagnostic computer? Another question, can anyone here recommend a good performance specialist, adept at tuning and diagnosing skyline problems?

It's clean...completely clean. No mods. Done about 42000Ks but I figured it's been knocked back. But had my mechanic go through it and it's in A1, the trims all fine etc. Only thing is the hicas light shows up occasionally. And I hate those damn rims...I'd be quite happy to get a stock 2nd hand set if anyone wants to sell. It's got a GTR spoiler too..which kinda spoils the understated look. Got my 32! It's gun metal grey and I hate the wheels. Does anyone have any 2nd hand stock wheels for sale? I've got nissan dark grey graphite wheels.

I'm in the east malvern area. Will get it to my mechanics. Of course soon. The brakes didn't seem to work properly, I think the calipers aren't biting properly. That has to be fixed! I'll let you guys know how it comes along.

So what's a good price for an import these days? Or for a used R32?

First thing I did was a test drive on it. And guess what...the brakes didn't work properly. He promised to repair it for RWC. But alas, the car looked immaculate.
