  1. Yeh I think I'll be running os gear set agy synchros and galvs billet sandwich plate when I build the box I have decided but I want to see how long this one last first! Pretty pricey build I just hope I don't kick myself for not going for the more proven tougher set ups first up too soon!
  2. It's two 044s but I'm not sure what the lift pump is actually
  3. Garage 101 is finishing it off for me bud
  4. Small pic of the completely hidden fuel system bloody hate the busy swirl pot set up with a hundred braided lines and fifty pumps in the boot! Little tank and two 044s underneath will do the job well.
  5. Just a small update so close to being finished now. Nitrous is now plumbed up!
  6. Yeh I thought I would wait and see how long it lasts and exactly what breaks. I had thought the best option would be an os set with the billet plate and agy synchros so I'm trying to get onto the synchros at the moment and then build up the parts list from there. I've got a spare one anyways so there won't be much down time anyhow.
  7. Yeh funny you should say that I had hoped to get it to racewars last year.. And here we are. Well you will laugh at the gearbox selection.. I'm going to run the standard one at the moment. Can't make my mind up yet I was convinced a ppg rebuild would be the go but I decided if it was going to be dog box it has to be sequential but I would I was loosing sight of what the car is actually going to be used for! And that is to drive it to work everyday and the odd track day..
  8. No real update yet it's at the shop still it's almost finished! Ended up changing fuel system to run e85. See how this flex fuel thing goes! Didn't realise how big the r type hks intercooler was till it was fitted, not a lot of clearance there! I'll get some more pictures up shortly!
  9. hey guys havent updated this in a while thought i would put some current pictures up! this is how she's looking at moment waiting to go to intune to get the pipe work and bits and pieces i haven't finished. Hopefully ill make it to power cruise!
  10. Hey guys I'm asking $3000 now. Here is some better pictures of the engine on the stand. What you see is what you get. Also here is the Nismo copper mix single plate clutch that will come with it or I will sell it seperate for $500. Clutch is in good condition but could use a rebuild.
  11. Engine is almost out guys so i can't run it up obviously but it will be sitting on an engine stand for close inspection if anyone wishes. Still open to any offers. cheers
  12. hey guys as the topic says I'm selling the complete engine out of my r32 gtr. This will come with everything including turbos, plumbing, filters the pfc ecu, injectors, coils, front pipes, diff, clutch.. everything. Radiator too if you want it. It will also come with two new z32 afms. Everything is coming out to make way for the new rb32 so everything is going. Engine runs well but it is getting a bit tired. I ran a compression test on it a little while back and its only getting between 135 and 140. The motor as is makes 330hp at the rears, I do have a dyno sheet for if if anyone wants to see it ill scan it and post it. I haven't done any work to this car since i bought it so I can't 100% tell you all the component specifics but this is the for sale thread for the whole car when it was listed on this site http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/366357-r32-gtr/. Most engine specifics are listed in that link. The engine is still in the car so i can run it up no problems but in a couple days the whole thing will be gutted. Asking price is $4500 which is think is pretty fair considering it comes with everything but I am open to any offers. I am in Cloverdale WA and my number is 0412473767. I have a few months off work so I am pretty much free all the time! I don't mind organising freight for over east buyers as I am very near to a lot of big freighting mobs I even have a pallet i can strap it all down to. Here are some photos as it is but i can take more when its on the stand. cheers Ben
  13. IT will be fun when its done but the problem is in WA no one believes in customer service or getting a job done in a timely fashion.. unfortunately no it wont be ready for race wars to much work on at the moment but funnily enough i will have all of April to get it finished so im a month to late. Shame would have been some good competition, i wanted to see if i could max the new speedo i got for it. The head work is care of Godzilla motorsports cnc programits not cheap but its a dam sight bettter and cheaper then some hand porting jobs! I have all my parts pretty much now so i just have to wait to get some time off work to put it all together! stay tuned though its gonna be wild!
  14. so slowly making more progress! Got the head back and i think i twas worth the wait. little bit peeved I didn't get a flow chart or a cc measurement of the combustion chambers which i thought would be pretty standard but o well at least its done and ready to bolt on!
  15. its not a real big snail man its only a gtx35 but it will be a fun daily! Cheers I dont have those wheels anymore i sold them a while ago for nothing.. should have kept them, Ive got works kiwamis on it now they look much better!
  16. No real updates as yet havent even got my head back! Some how these things take 3 months to complete.. Hard to find good help. I have seen the head though after porting and its ridiculous look forward to seeing the flow chart! A few more parts have arrived like the ecu and the hypertune plenum and throttle body. Ordered my clutch too after much thought. I ended up getting a nismo coppermix the comp spec one. I dont know how it will like it but everyone likes these clutches so if it can handle the power it will stay, if not ill have to look at something more solid but atleast i will have tried the more user friendly one first and know it wasnt an option! they are rated pretty high so we will see i guess. I need to get my current engine sold though. So i think ill put an add up and peoples can come have a gander while its still in the car at least they can be assured that it does still go hard.. At work for three more weeks though unless this cyclone gets brewing! This thing has to be done for race wars in wa! bloody machine shops taking their sweet ass time!
  17. I have Two brand new z32 afm's here that i bought by mistake when i was trying to buy some new ones for my current engine. Obviously they don't fit so id just like to get most of my money back on them if i can. $500 non negotiable. 0412473767
  18. Hey guys i bought this rb26 long motor a while back for the head and little bits and pieces off of it so now i have everything i want someone else can have the rest. I was told that when i bought it it had a spun big end. i haven't investigated this at all just pulled and head and sat it to the side so if you would like i can pull the sump off and take photos or you can come around and have a look for yourself no worries at all. The diff is still in the sump too so that can go with it. $500 ono 0412473767 (I go back to work tomorrow and reception is sometimes fairly sad so if you dont get through then just leave a message!) Also i am back in a week if you want to come have a look at it.
  19. I see, yeh the web site specifically says used oem idle control.ill have to just make the standard one work i guess.
  20. The nitrous should get me over the lline!
  21. not really if it does work that way then i suppose but ive never played with anything like it before so in theory it sounds good to me i just want to know if it would be that easy.. If its just an on off solenoid im sure it would, just wanting to see if any gurus here had some words of wisdom they could share with me on the matter..
  22. Hey guys I'm in the process of getting this 26/32 together and I'm a bit stuck on what to do with the factory air idle control or (aac valve) when I put the hypettune plenum on with the single throttle body. My thoughts where to get rid of it all together as i have done away with the vacuum log that runs along the head anyway and just use a universal idle air control valve from haltech. I have a haltech platinum pro plug in ecu so i'm just wondering if any of you know how the haltech idle control would be wired in and set up instead of using the factory set up? would i just use the factory loom and plug straight into the new idle control off the aac harness? Cheers Ben
