  1. Not to sound rude or doubt u or anything but its definately revving harder at a given speed. As I'm not the only one driving the car I have been told the car has been working a bit harder lately. Also i think 2250 is a bit of an under estimate its more closer to 2500. Even if this were the case, theres no harm in leaving it right? I also played around with the AAC valve if that has anything to do with it.
  2. Hey guys after fixing and idling issue buy installing a new TPS. The car runs at a higher RPM. For example at 60 km/h it use to run at 2000RPM on 4th gear, however now at 60km/h the car runs at around 2250RPM. Anyone know whats causing this?
  3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404812-help-setting-tps-on-r33-s2/ if u have a S2 its the brown plug (bottom one) and the middle red wire cheers for the help. After setting the correct voltage to my new tps the car runs like a dream. As for the power steering problem it seems to have subsided for now
  4. My ECU doesnt have an idle screw?
  5. I've set the tps to 0.45V with no throttle and 4.16V throttle down. Is that alright?
  6. Thnx found it! Set the TPS to the correct voltage. It appears to have fixed the Idling problem, however it does idle too high now. I'm gonna have to do an idle reset tomorrow. Will let u know how it goes. Also i lowered the idle using the screw on the AAC valve as much as I could. The idle still sits at a high 1200 rpm so I'm assuming I need to adjust the Idle using the idle screw on the ECU?
  7. Also the battery is relocated to the boot so can I just earth it anywhere on the engine bay?
  8. Theres 2 plugs on the tps, which do I use?
  9. Searched the forums and couldn't find anything helpful. I was wondering how to set a new TPS to the correct voltages. Sorry guys complete noobie here
  10. Hmmm been looking everywhere, haven't found a guide on how to set the tps just yet :S
  11. Cleaned the AAC and checked the AFM but still didnt fix the idling issue. However I saw that the engines RPM could be manipulated by wiggling the bottom cord which connected to the TPS. I'm really starting to think it's the TPS. I ordered a new TPS and will fit it ASAP. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Cheers!
  12. Do you think this is a possibility for my manual trans? Dad and I are gonna have a thorough look at the engine. Hopefully we can find what's causing the problem.
  13. Hmm hopefully it's nothing too serious. Please let me know if anyone else has resolved the problem.
  14. Yes it is indeed very scary! So did you know what the problem was? Was it perhaps the TPS?
  15. Power steering cut off while i was driving today. Took a tonne of muscle to move the steering wheel but it came back on after i straightened the wheel out. Also my RPM fluctuates up and down whilst idling. These issues don't always occur, it is really random. Please help. Kind regards, Simon. Also the RPM's dip low enough for the engine to cut off.
  16. Not exactly sure mate, havnt had the car for too long. Will find out. Havn't checked the afm nor the aac, i guess thats where i should start. Thnx
  17. Hi guys, Recently i've been encountering a few issues with my 97 r33. When pulling up to a light or coming to a stop (or even jst idling for that matter) my cars rpm fluctuates up and down ever so slightly. Sometimes the rpm dips to low enough and the engine cuts off. The problem appears to be getting worse. Now the car feels jerky and sluggish to drive. Also the cars eats a lot more fuel too if that helps. Please help! Thnx, Simon The car also stalls VERY easily when driving around parking lots!
  18. Hi guys, first post on the forum wooo Anyways I'm from Perth and was wandering how much it will approximately cost me to get new side skirts and rear pods installed professionally. Cheers, Simon. Edit: Oh and I've already removed the old skirts and pods.
