  2. man I wont have to! when mintie gets his car back he'll wanna go cruising everywhere....hehe
  3. well i was either going to get the blitz one or the avcr - i got a good deal though
  4. Btw Hi to all the sydney skyliners that were out on the cruise!! I would have said it at stanwell but it was too dark...hehe
  5. hehe it looks like I got to this thread a bit late!!! Shonen ill give you a run whenever you like!! I wanna see how your car goes, might give me an idea of what mine could do later!! It runs 10psi - its supposed to run more but the ecu must be stopping it or something.. man if I was running 1bar i dont think id have a turbo left!!! hehe
  6. yeah I can remember what the settings are, just dont know whether it means Im not doing something wrong with it? im confused
  7. anyone??
  8. Hey all! Got a wierd problem with my AVCR: - ER34GTT Tiptronic - Stock Turbo and ECU Setting A: 0.50 Boost 35% Duty Setting B: 0.90 Boost 65% Duty (both are in learning mode) I dont know if Im causing this to happen but every once in a while the AVCR will change the duty on setting A to the same as B?? I change the duty back down to the 35% again and it works like a charm for a week or 2 then goes again! I noticed though that when I turn it off the boost runs at about 0.50 - I think it should be running more? any ideas? Also does the duty sound about right for those boost levels? Thanks
  9. hehe I guess you'd definitely hope so!!!!!! the price for the reg was put down at $90 and the bearing was $35. The rest of it was put to labour, he said there'd be about 2 hrs of work in it (maybe also the fact that he didnt really know what car it was!!!! hehe he was an old bloke)
  10. dude! I dont know how much of a help ill be with this but I had a dual stage with a similar prob on my 34 - didnt seem to have any boost but occasionally if I flattened it the boost would kick in (wasnt stable though) Turned out there was 3 hoses going to the stock one - the actuator part was ok but there was another hose (dont know which one sorry) that was connected that shouldnt have been, and it wasnt blocked off when it should have been.. a mate looked at it for 2 secs and connected the other one, blocked the unused one off and it was perfect after that?? dunno if its any help? sorry if it isnt!!!!
  11. Hey guys!! It ended up being fixed - if i had more time I would have shopped around for the price but needed it fixed quickly.. The guy ended up replacing the bearing and the regulator (looks really wierd? has a heatsink on it and a round circle area? looked like the bearing sat in there) - it ended up costing $269 all up. The guy seemed to know what he was doing, and its working fine. Crisis over!!! hehe
  12. Got the car in to a local guy here... said he will remove and check to see if there is any damage to the alternator?? otherwise said it might be about 275 - 300 to fix
  13. sounds great!!! hehe Ill take it somwhere today and get them to take a look at it. Thanks for the advice guys!
  14. cool, Im going to take it somewhere tomorrow and get them to check it out - Im not sure but it looks as if the seals on the screw tops on one of the cores is maybe busted out...... do you guys have any idea on what that would cost to fix by any chance??
  15. Got a problem!!! I had my car dyno'd last night and as soon as it came off I noticed the battery warning light is on and the car seems to be charging the battery now at 16v, even on idle?? - I had a look today and there is fresh corrosion all over the positive terminal. Has anyone had this problem before or know what it might be?
  16. Im lucky to get 400 from a full tank!! most of the time probably a bit under 350 (exh, pod, fmic) - with the stock turbo its hard not to hit boost! Does anyone know how much it improves with an ecu tune?? I heard it gets a fair whack better with a decent tune on them
  17. maybe?? Ive heard that it really should be fusion-welded (???) to the turbo to make sure theres no pressure leaks - I can get that done to it to fit but I dont know if that means the ports on the exhaust manifold flange are smaller?? if that was the case then I guess it just wouldnt flow as much as it could otherwise?
  18. Hi Guys! this might sound like a stupid question but im new to this - I can possibly get me hands on a good turbo for a good price, but the flange for it is T25 and of course the rb25 has a t3 flange on it. I can get it flanged up to fit but would anyone see any problems in doing this apart from maybe an decrease in performance of the turbo? could it cause any damage to the turbo or engine? the turbo itself is a good match otherwise.......any comments?

  20. hehe sorry about the late reply!! They were commodores so I doubt they would have had a cooler for the box.. Are you going to run a better cooler or leave the std one there?
  21. Hey guys! I am very interested in picking up one of these - excellent idea! but I dont know how much strain this would put on the box?? I had a couple of mates changed their vavle-bodies (not in skylines) but they boxes blew up on them not that far later...
  22. hey! sorry I wasnt able to check the thread for a little while man The only reason I want some springs for them is because mine at the moment are loaned to someone else that needs them... I just need springs whether they're standard or not isnt a concern

cool - ill give you a call soon, I think ive got a laptop with serial also I spoke to Hills Motorsport in castle hill, sydney yesterday and they can tune these aswell - have been selling and tuning them for a while now
  24. no i dont think they will get any lower - not without getting them chopped or re-set and doing either of those will ruin them... Im selling them cause ive got coilovers now so i dont need them anymore
  25. Hey man! Ive got a mate who might need them - long story.....he might not take them though - If not ill do them for 200 with a swap for the standard springs?? sound ok?
