Hey guys, Got a gtst R33 car runs great but when shifting between gears and releasing clutch in full throttle mode it cuts out like throws you foward and picks up again especially 90% of the time from first gear to second gear. Has b.o.v aftermarket plumb back,FMIC,power fc tuned and aftermarket turbo and facefoward plenum.Have tryed without b.ov/disconetcted and still does it. Does not do it when in gear and giving it full throttle through the rev range at all. Have noticed when it gets wheelspin through the gear change it doesnt do it but when it gets traction it does and also recently only in first gear my external boost gauge when hitting full boost it starts to flicker and the car goes brr brrr brr brr at high rpm around 5800rpm to 6400rpm but only in first as ive tested it 20 times and in no other gear. I have changed all vaccum lines to brand new,coil packs ,spark plugs and service,fuel filter,filter all fuel lines and changed different turbos aswell with no result on the first thing mentioned also had the same problem with my old greddy computer and on neally stock boost, but this is tuned and all now with power fc.. all i can think of is the afm which has not been changed which is a z32 which would always switch off on me but solderd it and that and fixed it and have tryed low boost level and still nothing. Cant think of anything else...Any ideas or help or similar thing that someone can help with or had a similar fix or advice.

yea its 3mm on my bov nipple so 4mm i got should be ok ? i got 3meters of it so should 4mm on all plenum and boost line vacume be all good?

yea i think there just no good the ones i bought so just got some 4mm turbosmart ones on order. will 4mm be ok for boostcontroller and b.o.v ?

Hi guys, just a quick question. Got some vacuum hose from ebay in silicone blue 5mm from ebay and replaced my 4mm rubber ones just to spice up the look abit. car was holding boost at 19/20 psi fine. soon as i put the silicone blue one on from b.o.v to plenum was strugling to hit 14/15. went back to my normal rubber one and back to normal. is it 5mm to big or the quality crap of that silicone hose cause it feels real soft compare to my rubber one hard type ones...

hi guys, just quick question. Does anyone know what colour comes close to satin white in a spray can like power plus cans or anthing cant seem to find a satin white in can colour... tryed dove white and gloss white but way off. thnx.

i tryed it a few month back to spray them with vinyl paint from auto barn but it just sucked in all my paint as in as many coats i was doing was not covering the material,its not viny its like some strange material. maybe i need to prepsol them first before spraying thats why its not covering them up....any other ideas why?

Hi guys, Posted similar topic awhile ago.. Car i have is R33 gtst series 1 the proplem im still having is when pusing it full throttle and going from 1st to second gear and even third it just kinda bogs down for a second or a lil back fire or even a pop from the pod. ive done the full service ,coils yellow jackets,spark plugs gapped and not gapped aswell,fuel filter,fuel pump 040 and cleaned afm/z32. seems to do it all the time when pushed hard and changing gears. If i just floor it ,in any gear goes perfect with no cutting out or back fire or nothing. i thought it migh be the B.O.V so took that off and still the same. It was tuned on dyno without a problem. all i got left is the afm which hasnt been changed and the plug on it is kinda stuffed as made my own with wires hooked up to it but dont thing it would be that. the best description on what it does i can give is i floor it change to 2nd gear and cut out abit pulling foward back and then goes then similar in 3rd but not as bad sometimes. only can think of leak or the afm or maybe metal intake pipe to short as i have made it shorter. but doesnt miss a beat on idle or thrashing in gear when im not changing gears. any help or advice cause its annoying bad.

Have a similar type sound aswell like tick tick tick tick comes and goes but heard it coming from underneath somewhere as couldnt hear when bonnet up and then listening.... has yours ever done it when its warmed up or coming back from a drive?

yea thats i was told i had but wasnt to sure. the 555cc nismo ones are yellow and the 740cc ones are red.

Hi, just need to know whta injectors i have as was told 550cc when bought the car but not sure.I no there red and only pic i could take was engine which doesnt show much. thought maybe the colour and side feed i think they are can give me a bit of info to tell but not sure... any help or opinions would be great

All good guys changed it to a new one/starter and first crank started plus got to fix the hoses leaking water as the starter was why i couldnt see the leak were it was coming from..so got 2 things fixed for one .. thanks for ya help guys.

are the series 1 same as series 2 for starter motors or different?????

tryed that still nothing,made a lil slight turn but then clicking again....

tryed agian and all it does is a loud clicking noise from starter or somewhere there...does it mean its gone?

The jumper starting car was started and running when the jumper cables where on mine..reved the car up a bit few min and left it running for a good 10min. when to crank it over and just made like krrr krrr krr sound from somewhere in the engine and then just click click second time i turned the key then nothing at all bugger all. Just before i put my battery on charger for a good hour or so and the again went to crank it over and nothing just that sound krrr krr krrr and a lil click and dead no sound again when trying to crank it over...and not even a enigine crank at all nothing just those sounds and thats it but then just does nothing like turning the key and silence. ill check the wire to see and that if anything is going wrong..

i tryed jumper cables with another car and still dead slightly turned for a split second and then nothing just dead but,so im guessing not the battery is ok and defintley not the alternator cause doesnt get used to start the car but charge on start.....

hi, Car is a R33 gtst series 1 Car has been starting ok last few days with around about the 3/4 crank to start when cold yesterday felt abit sluggish to start and similar today... so i replaced the battery as had one good condition on the side.. as soon as i replaced it just dies and makes a ticking type noise from the engine.. so i put my old one back in and same thing again...so im guessing its no my battery as now it just doesnt even crank over but everything lights up.. have a power fc which says my voltage on 12.9 with everythging on but drops to 8/10v now wen turnoing the key and before was around 10/11v when trying to start.. could it be my starter or altenator... im thinking starter... its no even clicking over or turning.... any ideas cause need to know to get it fixed...

Yea it goes away after 10 min or so, cant even hear it....only loud wen lights are on and car is cold. when in day time can just hear very tiny bit then gone.

Hi guys, have this problem with my alternator makings a stange noise like screeching type. when driving in the day its fine no noise as soon as i start it cold with my lights on u can hear the noise. the strange part is after 10 min of driiving or less it is gone never to be heard and its coming from there 100%. any idea what it could be.

after a set of R33 gtst series 2 wheels/rims in good condition and front tyres to be good but rear dont bother me as will be replaced.. not looking to spend much so pm me if anyone has some that are not needed...located melbourne south eastern suburbs. cheers!
