  1. I don't plan on using this car at the track at all. It is simply my everyday car to get me from A to B and back. Besides, it's an auto/tiptronic. On occasion but rarely, i will let loose at traffic lights and the freeway and put my foot down but that is as rough as it gets and thats only in a straight line. So bottom line, my car is never thrashed around and is always driven with care. Don't even actually drive it everyday. So taking into account how i use the car, even if i do stick with the 235 tyres, they'll still be wider (more grip) than my stock ones currently anyway. So performance wise, it shouldn't make a difference between 235 and 255 right? I guess it just comes down to my personal preference on whether i want to spend an extra $100-150 to reduce the streched look on the rears. I can't actually get a test fit done. At the shop i ordered them from earlier today... They order the rims, fit the tyres i have chosen when the rims arrive and then call me to pick 'em up. Hence, i need to make sure i have chosen correctly. The tyres are Federal 595 SS's.
  2. What will be the benefits of having 255 tyres as opposed to 235's if any. More grip i but also heavier i assume.
  3. Hmm... I see your point Frosty. I completely agree with you in saying that 255 tyres suit 10" rims very well. I don't mind if there is a bit of stretch but i think that 10" rims with 235 tyres is just a bit too much. However, i am not a big fan of camber at all. At least not on my car. So what do you recommend cuz i am really tempted to call up the place i ordered them from earlier today to change my order to the 255 tyres.
  4. Need some help guys. Will 18x10 + 20 offset rims with 255/40 tyres fit on the rear of a stock R34 25GT coupe? I have already rolled my guards for that little bit of extra room and the car is slightly lower than factory height but only marginally. I currently have on order 18x9 + 20 offset rims with 235/40 tyres for the front and 18x10 + 20 offset rims with 235/40 tyres on the rear. It was cheaper to go for 235/40 all round but now im not so sure it was worth it because i do not want the rear tyres to stretch too much. Hence, i would like to know if 255/40 tyres would fit as this will reduce the stretch. Thanx
  5. $300 for the front calipers $180 for the rear calipers As you can see, it would be cheaper to simply buy the set as a whole. But if i've got different buyers interested in the front and rear calipers seperately, then these are the prices. Again, postage costs will vary with location.
  6. I would rather not sell just the front calipers because i will never be able to sell just the rear ones alone. If your still interested, i can post the lot to 2762 for approx $45 with tracking. Thanx for your interest.
  7. New Asking Price: $400 BUMP
  8. Complete set of R33 GTST brake calipers. Both front and rear calipers with pins and bolts included. They perform well and are in great condition. (Pictures taken on Monday 1st October 2012) In Melbourne, VICTORIA Asking Price: $500 (Freight cost depends on location) PM me if you have any questions.
  9. Are the brake calipers still available?? PM me with a price and a few pics if there still up for grabs. Cheers
  10. Do you have any GT-T brakes available still? If so, do they use 14mm caliper bolts? PM if you do.
  11. Hi James, are these brakes still for sale?? PM if there still available.
  12. Are these brakes still for sale?? Very interested. PLZ PM me if they are still up for grabs.
  13. Hey guys, So i know i'm not the first person to have trouble deciding what rims to get for my car. Hence, i thought i would start this thread where people can give others advice and post pics of their rims to help others decide. I know there is a thread similar to this however it focuses more on the sizes rather than the style of rims. So if your proud of the rims on your ride, then post a few pics and provide a bit of information about the rims too like brand, offset, width, diameter etc. Looking forward to seeing what you've all got. Cheers
  14. There's plenty of choices out there for R34 25GT. I'm actually in the same boat at the moment. Was thinkning of getting a Top Secret front bumper with perhaps a Bomex rear bumper and side skirts. Gotta say though, the East Bear kit is also good but like the others said, it ain't cheap.
  15. Appreciate your help Jack but trust me, i have seen that one on ebay and its not exactly the one i want. From a head on view, the one on ebay has got one hole on the left side but two holes on the right side (one for the indicator of course but the other one, i'm not sure). I'm specifically looking for a Top Secret front bumper like the one in the pics that i initially posted where it simply has one hole on each side for the indicators. I know, its quite picky but that's what i'm looking for. Thanx for your help anyway Jack, Phil
  16. Still looking for that Top Secret front bumper guys, just like the one in the pics i posted initially. Anyone have one for sale??
  17. Yeah, i'm pretty sure using the R33 GTST stuff for my upgrade is the better way to go instead of the R34 GTT stuff. To many size differences with the R34 GTT and i would rather not drill new holes. Also, just to clarify, my 25GT Coupe is also a '98 model. Getting my hands on some R33 GTST calipers and rotors is easy enough off ebay but the brake lines and master cylinder is where it becomes difficult for me. So Martin, where can i get the necessary brake lines and brake master cylinder for this upgrade because i have absolutely no idea. I'm in Melbourne if that helps. Also, when you upgraded your R34, did the ABS system give you any problems because i have been told that this upgrade can screw up the ABS in R34's. Thanx for your help, really appreciate it. Phillip
  18. Hey guys, I'm looking to increase the braking power on my R34 25GT Coupe which has the basic factory brakes all round at the moment. It also has factory standard smooth 280mm x 26mm rotors on the front and 297mm x 18mm on the rear. I want to upgrade the front brakes to the bigger and stronger R33 GTS-T brakes. I can acquire the necessary calipers and rotors off ebay but i'm still not sure if it is a direct replacement. I have been told that it is not as simple as a bolt on upgrade and that you must also change the brake lines and brake master cylinder as well to compensate for 4 pistons instead of 2. I have also been told that it may screw up the ABS installed in the car. Trust me, i have read around on many posts and forums but cannot seem to find a simple straight answer without conflicting posts. The alternative is to simply replace my rotors with some new slotted ones and get new brake pads but i would still rather upgrade to the more powerful R33 GTS-T brakes. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanx
  19. Hey guys, Really want to buy a Top Secret front bumper for my R34 25GT just like the one shown in the images. The grey R34 is my car. It is completely stock at the moment but hopefully that will change soon. Preferably available in Melbourne or there abouts to save postage costs as that is where i am. Thanx.
  20. Hey guys, I'm really interested in getting some skirts for my currently stock R34 25GT Coupe. The side skirts and rear bumper are pretty much taken care of but i am having some trouble with the front bumper. If possible, i would really like a Z Tune front bumper or a Top Secret front bumper. The pictures attached are of a Top Secret front bumper. This would be perfect. Anyone know where to get one? Also, i know of one place where they install parts like this but does anyone else know of a reliable place to get skirts and bumpers fitted. I am in Melbourne, VIC. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanx
  21. Hi guys, i am new to these forums so forgive me if i say or post something silly or obvious. Anyway, i am interested in upgrading the stock front brakes on my non turbo R34 Coupe. My ideal upgrade would be to put on the R34 turbo brakes or the R33 turbo brakes with the necessary compatible rotors (slotted) but i have been told that it is more difficult than that. Apparently i have to also change the brake lines, the brake master cylinder and perhaps other components to successfully integrate the bigger brakes into my car. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do? I do not know how to do the work myself but i am willing to pay to get the job done for me professionally. Also, where can i get a decent set of turbo R33/R34 brake calipers? There are plenty of new rotors on ebay but i cannot seem to find a decent set of calipers. I am based in Melbourne, VIC if that helps. Thanx
