  1. On your first few runs give yourself time. Don't worry about reaction. Sit there a couple seconds longer or whatever. Get the right rpm and boost buildup and then go.

Don't worry about what the other car is doing.

4000-5000 and slip the clutch to avoid wheelspin.

Tyres are pretty important too. going on your 60' times you musta had a fair bit of wheelspin.

  2. do R33 gtst series 1 have the fuel light?

I can't say I've ever seen it come on in my car. Maybe that's why I think I'm getting crappy economy as when it is showing empty it may still have fuel in the tank?

How much fuel is left in the tank when the warning light comes on?

  3. I think it should still close today but you just wait for the money. Otherwise you may get people submitting the cash in 2 days time and then having to wait again.

We're already gonna get the cheapest price so if people miss out from here out it's to bad I reckon. It's been open for a while now...

  4. Hi SK,

Could I get the same response as the below. I'm not really interested in track or drag either, but want something comfortable and a bit lower would be nice too.

    Cheers,

    James

sydneykid, I currently have an R33 series 2 on stock suspension with stock rims. I am soon to purchase some 18x8 and 18x9.5 rims to go on the car and I would like to lower the stance of the car also to improve upon the currently 4wd height and handling.

I drive this car over all sorts of roads everyday, and I am not remotely interested in drift or trackwork etc as its purely a good looking and fast'ish daily that is comfortable on most syd roads.

What suspension components would you recommend given that I want to:

    - keep as close to possible as standard ride comfort

    - lower the car to something sensible above the wheels while remaining at a legal height

    - improve the handling a bit (I find a lot of softness under hard cornering with the stock gear).

    - not spend a bucket load setting it up

    Thanks mate

PM me if this is not appropriate thread to respond.

    Luke (in syd).

  5. I haven't experienced those kinds of problems and I'm running the 040 in my 33. I don't take mine to the track though but I have been sitting on empty a few times and not had any problems. I mounted my pump as low as possible in the tank and I estimate there was only about 1cm difference in pickup between the stock sock and the 040
