  1. yeah, I hadn't really looked at one before but I noticed a thread here about them and had a look. The more I found out about them the more they became an attractive option.

The more you guys have posted about ongoing costs for the gtiR has scared me off a bit.

I just need something to cruise around in to and from work. As i said I never go to the strip or do any circuits so sports cars are kinda wasted on me. I don't regret having the r33 for a second, it's an awesome car. Just time for a change, I want something a bit more comfortable.

  2. hmmm, waiting for an insurance quote to come back on a stock one.

I've also been looking at Toyota Celsiors. I actually kinda like them and from what I've read from reviews and user comments the engines are bullet proof, aren't exactly a slouch and are pretty economical.

They are bloody cheap too, might have to find out how the insurance is.

    Cheers,

    James

  3. I already have an R33 gtst but am looking for something a little bit cheaper and a bit less to insure.

I'll probably be able to get 15-16k for my line so I don't want to spend over that.

I have looked at this pricerange for a while now and the pulsar gtiR is the only car i'm really even considering. I was wondering if anyone else had gone from an R33 to a GTiR and what were your experiences?

I've never got into taking my car to the strip or circuit racing so the r33 is a bit of a waste on me. I just want a quick car that I can use as a daily driver.

    Anyone done this ?

    Cheers,

  4. Who said anything about going to melbourne <_<

We are looking at flying Sam over to do all our cars over here, but seeing as i have a road trip planned i'll be taking ANIMAL with me anyway so i'll stop in on the way and kill 2 birds with one stone :O

How long is he down for and when? Also who's dyno is he using? how much is he charging? Is he just remapping ecu's or is he open to doing powerfc's and SAFC IIs?

Is there a thread about this?? !!!

Its pretty obvious that if no one down here is good enough you'd take it to melbourne.

al_r33 racepace is own of the best known workshops for imports in australia. It's in melbourne: http://racepacemotorsport.com/main.html

  5. makes it pretty expensive having to go to Melb for a tune.

I think I'll just stick with my old mechanic for servicing requirements and when I can afford to, take it to racepace for a tune. Probably wont bother until we have 98RON at the pump tho.
