Hey guys... this is something I saw on eBay. I don't know if its against the rules to post eBay links.. If it is then I apologise in advance. :P

The link to the computer on eBay.

AMD Sempron 3000+

Gigabyte Motherboard

1GB DDR PC3200 400MHz RAM

128 ATI Radeon 9250 Video Card

550W Power Supply and Case

Samsung 16x Dual Layer DVD-RW

Maxtor 80GB HDD 7200rpm

Gigabyte Keyboard and Mouse

Is it worth it?

Thanks.

without looking it up, that system sounds almost exactly like the 'value' premade comps they sell on msy.com.au, all generic parts and about $300ish.

Anyway I'd be asking if u can pick it up in person, before bidding on it.

Hi there,

I couldn't find anything that sounds like this one. I checked the website you gave and the only value computer there has less stuff. The value one has onboard graphics, 256MB memory and no DVD burner. It says the dvd burner costs 60 dollars more and it doesn't have the option to let you put 1GB. It also doesn't have the option to let you put a graphics card on it.

Could you help?

I think they've changed the list since I last looked at it, they used to have o/s included and different systems slightly. Asus m/bs are better than Gigabyte anyhow. I'm about 98% sure they used to have Gigabyte m/boards in their cheap systems.

Anyway you can use it for a price comparison at least.

Dual layer burners cost about $60 outright atm, of course d/l discs are still about $4-7 depending on quantity (single/l you can get about 50 for $25).

Ram is about $50 for 512mb.

Anyway this is all beside the point if he's a dodgy seller and just trying to rip people off :ban:

I'd still be asking if you can pick it up in person.

And I wouldn't bid over $300odd for it as for not much more you could get it from a reputable shop with a 12month warranty.

Good luck!

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
