sold

Nissan Skyline GTR, $21,600(neg)

1990, Twin turbo, 4WD, 98k kms

I imported the car for my own use but am selling due to a change of plans and interests. Will consider trade + cash my way.

Just imported this month (July), Full compliance and has a current NSW blue slip (Roadworthy cert). Due to a mix up at compliance the car also has a QLD mod plate and cert for rego there. I can register the car in NSW if required as its just a matter of taking the papers to the RTA and paying for the rego. I have not yet done this so the buyer can have a full 12 months rego (optional in case buyer is from interstate).

Location: Kyogle, NSW. about 2.5hrs from brisbane, just accross the border into NSW

MODS:

18inch NISMO rims,

HKS airpods,

Strut tower brace,

Aftermarket Front bar,

R34 GTR front mount intercooler upgrade,

Exhaust system (told it was a full turbo back but im not sure what the stock one looks like to compare!)

HKS turbo timer

Cross drilled rotors, unknown pads

Aftermarket BOVs

Small stuff like momo wheel, race pedals(currently removed), shift knob.

The information i have on the car stated it had:

PIVOT short shift kit

New twin plate clutch

but havent checked this out yet.

I have driven the car once for about 140kms total to take it in to Lismore for the Blue slip inspection and it drove extreemly well. there is no slack in the drivetrain, gearshift is like new (no odd sounds, no syncro crunching!), Engine is smooth. Inspections and tests welcome.

Suspension in unknown (may be stock but feels a little hard)

Damage:

Body is in excellent condition, there are a few small cracks in the front bar that will be repaired this weekend. A small notch in one tailight surround(will also be repaired).

Interior: drivers seat has some wear and a small hole. Armrest has a bit of the vinal damaged. several VERY small holes in the dashboard where things were previously fitted. no lifting/cracking/sundamage and airvents are perfect. No sign of there ever having been any kind of rollcage.

I will be posting new pics as soon as it stops raining outside! These 2 are from the car still in japan. only change is some delightfull fellow decided to pull off the rear NISMO badge at the docks... otherwise no damage in shipping!

Inspections are welcome! NRMA or other professional inspection is fine just call me to make arrangments. If you like pics of any specific areas just email me or post here (I will be adding more general pics of the car later today).

home phone: (02) 66333131 (martin)

The car is not yet advertised anywhere else but i will be as soon as the bar is finished. This is a private sale. I am NOT a dealer so cannot offer after sales service/warrentee etc!

thanks for looking, comments/info requests welcome,

martin

I also have left from my previous GTR a set of Gold 17inch advan racing rims with rubber if buyer is interested (have been in storage for last 10 months).

Hi all, still for sale, offers considered.

The from bar came on it from Japan, has a sticker in the fiberglass inside but not a brand i recognised, cant remember now, can have a look if really keen on it, should be a few similar ones out there for you or you could just buy my car? (:

The airconditioning has been converted and regasses with the new type after arrival in Australia.

updated pics taken outside today and some interior/engine ones taken yesterday between rain showers...

have plenty more and can also make any of specific areas, just ask

  • 2 weeks later...

bump!, PM's replied.

To clear some questions up. price is neg...

cash, $19,600 or $18,400 without the rims as several ppl have said they didnt want them.

Glass is perfect all round

BOV's are aftermarket and venting to atmosphere but in the factory location and the factory plumb back piping is still in the car, so a quick and easy changover if necessary.

thanks for looking,

martin

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
