Exhaust Question

Hi lads,

Quick question I am looking at getting a new turbo and as a result I want to get a highmount manifold. I am keen on getting an externally gated turbo so my question is -

If I get an externally gated turbo is it a waste of money getting one of the split dump and front pipe as there won't be an internal gate? If so would I be better off with a straight 3 inch dump and front?

Also if I got a highmount would I neet to get an extra pipe to reach it from where the dump pipe would normally stop at the lowmount position???

you are better off to wait till you have the new turbo on if you get a turbo that wont be in the original position, because u will have to change the dump pipe and maybe even the front pipe to get it to line up with the new turbo.. if you have an external wastegate you will need to moddify your dunp/front pipe as well to run the pipe off the wastegate back into the exhaust system, unless u have a screamer pipe...

Cheers mate was thinking of doing turbo manifold and exhaust all at the same time so it definately sounds like the best idea.
