FORD has unveiled a new entertainment and communication system running on software from Microsoft that aims to bring the connectivity of a computer to the car.

The "Sync" system allows drivers to make hands-free phone calls, listen to music on digital media players, including Apple's iPod, and have mobile phone text messages read aloud.

At least when Microsoft's ICE OS inevitably crashes, it'll be branded properly for Ford without having to make any other changes to the error screen.
