just a Q or two :D

what do yaz recon is the best aftermarket computer to get?

iv been thinking about Power FC, EMS and Link

the price differences are pretty big and i wanna know if the extra $$$'s are worth it...:)

another thing..

iv noticed that alot of the big performance cars have electronic BC's even though they have a computer that can do this

whats the extra money for? i went to advan in silverwater the other day and a greddy bs is 800$ when u include the remote switch it goes over a grand.,. same with apexi AVCU thats like 1100$

apart from looking kool do these BC's offer any advantage over the computer's BC?

and another thing iv been wondering ....

the advan gtr, GRACER (i saw it there the other day) has a link not a power fc  i thought the P FC was like the best

all very confusing... ;)

Hype.. it really all comes down to who you can get to tune the

thing.

The advantage as everyone knows is that the PFC is basically

what you would call "Plug and Play" :) even though some tuning

would be recommended. Others you would be chopping wires

left right and centre.

I ASSUME that if you get busted by the EPA, it's just a matter of

sticking back in your old puter and get it tested? The problem

will be that you will lose your settings on the PFC? Anyone

confirm?

I always thought for the amount of $$$ spend for EBC is due to

corrections in boost spikes, the facility to monitor other stuff etc

etc. I don't have one personally but thats what I've read.

Electronic boost controllers holds boost better, and doesn't allow boost to spike as much. The bleed valve types also have to be adjusted inside the engine bay, where the EBC can be done in-cabin. More convenience that way.

yeh i know that ..

but what i was saying was..

since most computers come with BC which i assume are electronic, being part of the computer and all, why do ppl have a computer AND a EBC???

the link is an nz computer it doesn't have as many plotting points as powerfc.

but powerfc has one draw back it still uses afm's but unless you plan to go over 300rwkw the powerfc should be fine and you can always un plug it but chances are it wont even be seen any way.

shop around for prices as there are plenty of bargains out there.

Any aftermarket computer is EPA legal provided it has closed loop function(uses oxy sensor to correct mix at light loads).

I'm not sure whether the PFC does, could make highway cruising abit thirsty!

That "nengun" place in Japan also has new AVC-R $807 and SAF-C $512 , Power FC alone $1200, do you need the hand controller once the car is tuned? Has anyone bought anything off them, I mean do you end up paying for things that will never arrive?
