Sadly I am looking to sell my GT-R....

When I bought this car I searched and searched for "the perfect R32 GT-R" it took ages! and finally I found this example that had been treated well since new!!! previous owner was 45yrs old, and like myself wasnt short of a dollar when it came to spending it on the car.....

Reasons to sell what is clearly the best road car I have ever driven?

- I am hardly home with my work, and the car doesn't get the use it deserves (14k in 2.5 years)

- I run a professional race team during my time off which is consuming all my spare time!

- my old man has done the last 3k on the car! and I am sick of buying fuel for him!!!

Why buy this car instead of the "really cheap 15k GT-R I just saw"?

- well once you ask around, good GT-R's are very rare indeed.... ask real people in the know!

CRD, BEL GARAGE, guys on here that have been around for ages like duncan, blitz, morgs etc etc etc...

THE CAR!

I am sure I have forgotten some of the things done to this car to make it 1000% reliable, it was treated as a limitless budget build up, with most of the $$$ spent on making the car driveable at all levels, and not on outright HP... sure there are cars with more power etc etc but how many can stop handle and drive in traffic? I could let my grandfather out in this car, and have no worries as it is just a doddle to drive around town....but then it will tear your head off if you ramp up the throttle %.....

Thanks guys, yes it is for sale, but not at a bargain basement price....

I have no real reason to sell (financially I'm hardly doing it hard!!) that is part of the reason this car can stay or go.... I'm not fussed, as it has been built to be trouble free for a very very long time...

my only real reason is that its a shame to have it locked up so much (garaged like a museum peice) as it really should be driven... and maybe there is someone dying for the perfect GT-R....

anyhow some more pics below for those that asked....

note the apexi valve controller in centre of rear seats....

G'day Ben,

Nice car I have seen this car/bumped into you a couple of times at BEL - surprised your selling it!

This maybe a stupid question but what does that Apexi valve controller do?

Good luck with sale!

Yeah I wake up and think why sell also??? but then I see how little I drive it, and if someone else will drive it more and get something out of it, all the better... but I am in no hurry to sell it to just anyone for some cut price etc etc...

so whats the Apexi?

well its a butterfly valve that goes in the exhaust that when open, doesnt restrict the flow of exhaust gasses etc.... but then when you want to shut the car up to stock Db levels.... just pull it closed .... simple! so very police friendly or neighbour friendly if required...

and doesnt cut Hp...

the exhaust was made by mark at exhaust technology in south australia.... mark spent 2-3 days getting it right, and even scrapped the first one as a development! it sounds rather good!

if you have heard the MINES GT-R I would say it has that ring about it...

twins are hard to get right! and mark has done the job here!!!

back home now, so I will be replying to PMs and emails...

So if anyone asked me what the best view in ADL would get you? It'd prob be a hotel room in the Hyatt, on the exec floors.

Tell you what though, reality sets in REAL QUICK when you get a ride in this car.

You're in the market for a GTR? Daily? Track car? Either way - you'd be mad not to consider this car.

Ben - Mate, I think you're a lunatic for dropping the price like this. Given the current climate, perhaps its hard to sell a car because everyone is struggling to put their money to gether, and perhaps too poor to buy a decent R32 GTR and would rather buy one that will explode in 2000km? Tell you what mate, if I was in the market for one again, you'd have the cash in your account YESTERDAY - its the perfect compromise between track monster that'll outperfom 99% of cars here, and reliable daily driver that'll again, outlive 99% of cars for sale here.

Tough to prove it though, its like nobody on here has enough cash to buy a decent car, they seem all hung up oin buying pieces of shit instead :)

not to rain on your parade buddy but not everybody has a budget of around 40g's to blow on a car, this car is a beautiful example of a no expense spared R32 GT-R, clearly an enthusiast has put in the time and effort to put it together and nor should it or would it be sold to anyone that didn't appreciate it the same way... if your refering to the cheaper cars on the market when you say "PIECES OF SHIT"...... everybody has to start somewere and good on them for choosing skyline for there choice of car... :)

cheers sneddy.

Completely agree buddy, $40k isn't an easy sum to come up with. Is it worth it? Hell yeah, but when people stick $20k on their GTR and cant get it, a $40k buyer more than likely isnt going to fall in your lap the first day its for sale.

Anyway I dont want to clog your thread up with crap as it is a stunning car that anyone on here would envy owning. Its just sad that people have to degrade others that perhaps dont have the financial luxuries of others.

GL with the sale

    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
    • The video for the servicing and fuel filter change can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44 One of the main jobs I wanted to do before the car officially went on the road, was to remove the awful looking blue silicone hoses. There's nothing wrong with having coloured silicone hoses, but I realise as I'm getting older I prefer monotone engine bays with a splash of colour on the engine cover(s). I cover this in a lot more detail in the Youtube video, so unfortunately there's limited photos of the process. The intercooler, upper radiator, boost vacuum and upper breather hoses were all changed to black silicone with mikalor clamps. The only blue left is a blanking cap at the back of the inlet manifold and the GReddy pulleys (which will be replaced for stock when the cambelt gets replaced) While the intercooler pipes were off I gave them a quick clean/polish too A before photo I do have a replacement air filter on its way. Fuse box covers were painted blue, they're now satin black Another job on the list while the bumper was off, is to add some mesh https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737966256_99b28bfa30_c.jpg[/img] I was hoping to use some thin wire to secure it, but it seems I've misplaced it and the wire I had was too thick to twist easily. I ended up using cable ties for the time being https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131882_c2b7989dcc_c.jpg[/img] Was pleasant to see this https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131627_8b2aab13b3_c.jpg[/img] The last thing to do was to fix the front grill and re-mesh that to match but I ran out of time The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FsF6tgizE&t=23s
