Standard Boost Solenoid With Boost Controller

Hi guys

I have a S2 R33 GTST. I want to buy a manual boost controller, but do i need to rewire the standard boost solenoid so that im always boosting around 7psi (before adding the controller).

probably been covered before, did a search but cant find anything that helps.

Also where abouts is the boost solenoid?

no need to do anything to the standard boost controller as it gets replaced by the manual controller. if your getting a boost t-piece like im thinking you are, the 2 hoses that run to the standard solenoid now go to the t-piece completely bypassing the standard solenoid.

or you could do what i did

just connect the new boost controller between intercooler pipe before it goes to throttlebody and the old Boost solenoid

worked for me and its still stage... goes 5-8psi then a full 10psi @ higher rpm
