I would never strip down a 100% perfect motor just to sell the block....

But I MIGHT be able to source you one.

Let me know your price range (please no stupid offers) and I'll see what i can work for you.

Cheers

how do you know the mileage of the engine if you just bought it?

hasnt been rebuilt at all? what type of car was it in?

i cant believe its lasted 100000+ seeing as ive lost 2 in 17000km.

i am interested for sure. though ive got one closer to home with 65000 for the same price. would you consider $2000?

(ill pay for shipping to syd obviously.)

My RB25DET has done over 95000kms and I get good compression across all 6 cylinders. My brothers the same. What do you do exactly to your engines that they only last 17000kms?

honestly i have no freakin idea. i never even got around to upping the boost. they were running stock with only a pod and 3" turbo back! the first one was caused by leaning out. and the second one, well i dont know yet, im going to have to get it towed. if its the same leaning out then wouldnt that suggest the fuel system is f**ked? it used to backfire when changing gears though, which would indicate to me its running a little rich if anything.

the first engine lasted 77000km, but only 7000 of that was since i bought it. the 2nd was a full reco, and that lasted 10000. and took the turbo with it.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
